The Great Biden Distraction

Post by Kishkumen »

If there is anything that Trump's presidency has proven in spades, it is that experience, know-how, and character are extremely important. If you hire someone who has no understanding of how politics, economics, and other serious subjects that impact the well being and stability of our nation work, then you may very well severely harm the nation and its people. So, here we are a little over a hundred days into the second Trump term. Trump and his gaggle of looneys have broken the law in countless ways, accepted massive bribes in a crypto scheme, violated the Constitution, undermined the rule of law, placed massive regressive taxes on average Americans in the form of tariffs, lowered the credit rating of the country, made air travel much less safe, killed the sick and the hungry, including children, around the globe by stopping international aid, fired loads of federal workers doing important jobs without cause. In short, Trump's presidency is a massive cluster-eff.

But Biden had incipient dementia when he was president. And . . . .

Nothing. He had incipient dementia.

You know, like Ronald Reagan had incipient Alzheimer's when he was president. And the world was fine. Because the president is not Atlas holding up the entire globe himself. He is the head of a giant branch of government that includes thousands of capable people. What you want is an experienced, knowledgeable, Constitution-upholding person in that job, so in the event something bad happens to the main guy, others can step in to address the issues that need addressing. It really is that simple.

Donald Trump was never that person. On Biden's worst day, he was 100 times the president and human being that Trump is. Trump is a defective looney who has wet dreams about being a dictator. Biden was an experienced statesman. Never the twain shall meet. Our sad lot is to live in a time when people will listen to a childish looney who is good at shooting off schoolyard insults over experienced statesmen. People who think bullies are strong and that vulgarians are successful human beings.

Not only has Trump never been a sober, even-keeled, compassionate, competent, knowledgeable statesman, but he also hires kiss-ass lackeys who will do whatever he wants. Frustrated and hemmed in by the competent people of his last administration, he hired a gaggle of looney opportunists, cartoon fascists, amoral climbers, and unhinged, dangerous people. So, let's say Trump had a stroke tomorrow, as he well could, and these are the people you would be left with to run the country. People just about as bad and maybe in some cases worse than Trump himself. The Stephen Millers of the world. The vicious malignant fascists who get off on the suffering of others.

So what is important about our current situation? That Biden had incipient dementia when he was president but was surrounded by competent, law-abiding, and experienced underlings? Or that your current president is a low-IQ moron, bully, dictator-loving fool who can be had by just about any evil dictator in the world who will blow sunshine up his ass and give him yesterday's cool aeroplane, who has surrounded himself with lunatics, fascists, and incompetent lackeys? Your answer is your judgment.
"I have learned with what evils tyranny infects a state. For it frustrates all the virtues, robs freedom of its lofty mood, and opens a school of fawning and terror, inasmuch as it leaves matters not to the wisdom of the laws, but to the angry whim of those who are in authority.”

I haven't spent five minutes following the drama. Anybody who thinks this is an important issue is a brainless fool.
We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

I. e. Trump supporter.

ETA: In our house, "Trump supporter" has become an insult like you damned cunt.

And we never say "Trump." We refer to it as f***face.

The god idea is popular with desperate people.

What stage was his dementia at, and how do you know this? And was it perfectly fine for the left wing media to deny this and say things like he was as sharp as he ever was? Will you concede that outlets like Fox News got it right he had dementia for the four years he was in office? And it was perfectly okay that these honest experience underlings were lying to the base and taking their money for him to run another four years with dementia?

And sadly what kind of wife would put their husband out there with dementia for those four years, and then encourage and lead his bid for 4 more years?

You might to rethink this.

Markk, was there a specific issue related to all of this that you’d like to talk about? And how should we correct it?

I don't know Canpakes, you could head to your garage and sniff a bunch of glue and paint or drink every last drop of alcohol you have in cold storage, and then you might empathize with the concerns of a right-wing Christian?

I'm just amazed the the "Hunter Biden corruption" crowd is silent about a $400 million jumbo jet, that will cost the tax payers another billion or so to get to spec, with plans for it to be handed over to the Trump Library....

The degree of corruption in the open. The degree of unlawful activity occurring.....

The rule of law is dead.

The amount of brain rot involved to think retrofitting from scratch will be more efficient and faster than the retrofits that are already underway, and then the cost of not only retrofitting an additional jet, but then decommissioning it to be handed over to his library foundation (which is outside of NARA governance), is wild.

I thought his meme coin grift, having people pay for direct access to him, was the height of in-your-face corruption. Yet, here we are.

I wondered if the One Big Beautiful Bill Act was the topic of the thread, considering.

There’s a much better chance that any claimed retrofit will fail to be completed prior to the deadline for use and transition to ‘his library’. Likely the plan is that this simply falls under Trump’s direct control as another asset for his and his family’s portfolio, without ever entering service for the American taxpayer. That would be the intent from the start.

Still, MAGA will grouse about Biden lending his brother a few thousand dollars for a truck purchase as evidence of a Worldwide Criminal Corruption Network. MAGA is gleefully taking the nose of a jumbo jet shoved up the arse end of whatever is left of their integrity, but their argument has never been about integrity - or truth - anyway.
