I struggled to find a title for this thread. It is simply unbelievable. Here are a few titles that crossed my mind.

1. Hypocrisy in action!
2. Are you kidding me!

Context....What do you all think about books like this being allowed in public schools? Then adding that somehow it is okay for young children with far from developed minds, yet with some full grown adults it is too vulgar to mention.

Her name.... CT Representative Rep. Dauphinais.

What she did.... Read to fellow state representatives what she deems as inappropriate content and context for children in a public school library.

Why folks should care.....Well, I guess that is up to the person, I can only hope that folks do care enough, to care.

In context with the OP, I believe this lends to my point and certainly a question for others here, how can that kind of language in a book, be in a public school library, yet the most vulgar thing this one representative has heard in the chamber?

What he did.... Stated that graphic explicit sexual slang written in book available to children in public school libraries, is too vulgar and disgusting to be read to representatives in the state capital building.

Why folks should care.....Well, I guess that is up to the person, I can only hope that folks do care enough, to care, and see the hypocrisy of Mr. Butler.

I suppose if we want to protect our children from vulgar talk, we shouldn't let them listen to Trump, right?

Or is it ok coming from a Republican? It is, isn't it? It's only Democrats that need to disgust people, right? The GOP gets a pass, because "policies."
