The MAGA Loyalty Crossroads
For almost a year, MAGA has framed Elon Musk as one of the smartest and most trustworthy people on the planet, whose acts are fully altruistic. Willing to sacrifice everything for the truth, justice, and the American way.
Well… Musk just Tweeted that Trump is in the Epstein files, and that’s the only reason they have been kept from being released.
This appears to be as a return volley from Trump posting that the best way the US government can save money is by removing Musk and his companies from the government teat.
What is MAGA to do? Do they remain loyal to the altruistic genius who only cares about truth, free speech, and the future? Or do they remain loyal to the god-emperor who elevated Musk to the heights of DOGE?
My guess is that if Trump starts going after Musk’s contracts, Musk will get back in line, but if this tit-for-tat between the rich toddlers goes on, my bet is loyalty will be with the god-emperor. He’s already a self-professed sexual predator that had his admission confirmed by a jury, and has a documented history of purposefully walking in on kids getting dressed. What’s a little Epstein adjacent pedophilia that can’t also be swept aside with morals, ethics, and intellect.

On the upside, if Musk loses all of his government handouts, at least he got the wife of Trump's' Deputy Chief of Staff, and all of the investigations into his companies dropped as a consolation prize.

Well the feud between Trump and Musk has started.
Trump has called for the cancellation of Tesla/SpaceX projects and Musk has said Trump is in the Epstein files, and called for impeachment.
Did not see this coming /s

Yeah. So, for someone as intelligent and gifted as Elon reportedly is, he sure doesn't appear to have a whole lot of common sense. Like, alienating the left - you know, the people more inclined to buy electric cars. Like, not being able to keep your mouth shut when you should and picking a fight with Trump.
Trump, that guy who twists, tortures and absorbs the life out of everything he comes in contact with. Trump - a mix between The Borg, the Ferengi and the Pakleds. (that bunch of stupid people who had a space ship they didn't know how to fly.) (a.k.a., SpaceX)

I actually think there was some level of business strategy at play. Tesla's market cap is probably maxed, and likely to constrict as time goes on. I think there are about 70 other EVs in the US market alone right now, and that will only grow. Globally, Tesla can't really effectively compete with Chinese EVs.dantana wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 9:57 pmYeah. I think he knows that deregulation, further tax cuts for the ultra-wealthy, and government contracts are the best ways for his A.I., defense, and space business ventures to be lucrative. That's behind the whole "genocide in Africa" nonsense that all of the racists carried water for him and believed with their endless gullibility. He needs as many government teats to suckle at as possible, while also making sure regulations aren't around to cut into his ability to have unregulated power plants in the middle of poor neighborhoods flooding the sky with formaldehyde.
While he's certainly no genius, I don't think he's a moron like Trump is. His emotional tantrum here with Trump is likely to cost him, and not the smartest move, but I think him turning on the "left" was likely pretty strategic for where he hoped his other businesses to thrive and grow.

I guess it's possible that he was playing the long game and was fully aware that his antics would tank Tesla stock, knowing that when he dropped the - Traitor The Trump - card, he would be repaired ten-fold. He may even get a medal of honor from the likes of say, Lindsey Graham and other conscripted lickspittles, that will put that golden key Trump gave him to shame, because, there is a slight chance a bingo card with the - Elon knows something that will bring down The Trump - square, could be a winner.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 10:14 pmWhile he's certainly no genius, I don't think he's a moron like Trump is. I’m very interested in seeing what sorts of mental gymnastics MAGA will put themselves through in order to justify such a thing. I expect to hear more than a few bones popping out of joints.Doctor Steuss wrote: ↑Thu Jun 05, 2025 8:08 pmWhat’s a little Epstein adjacent pedophilia that can’t also be swept aside with morals, ethics, and intellect.

Re: The MAGA Loyalty Crossroads
The president is invincible with his base, so no worries there. Plus, the whole QAnon narrative, I don't think it's so straightforward. Remember that Ballard guy? Did he ever flinch once about Joseph Smith? The aversion conservatives have to Epstein-like activities is entirely from conspiracies made up by some guy on 4chan. It's not moral aversion per se, but feigning shock over a worldwide conspiracy (that could be anything) involving liberals and celebrities. If a conservative isn't keyed-in to that track of thinking at the precise moment, then there are conflicting tracts running through their minds such as 1) it's normal for homesteader men with beards to get with younger girls as trad wives 2) a leader going after younger girls implies he's not gay or trans, and is a red-blooded alpha male.
At best if something comes out they'll just say it was fake news as the president has already said the files are filled with fake news. At worst they'll say he may have done it, but they accept he's flawed, and it's not so bad because 1 or 2.
Elon is a different story. Conservatives will ditch him at will. I truly don't understand Elon's motives. I don't buy for a second he was ever interested in helping with the budget. My best guess is that after he took over Twitter and got cheered on for cutting the jobs of Twitter employees, he went crazy, imagining himself on the world stage shafting people by the hordes while the crowds cheer. Worshiped for being the hard-ass no-compassion conservative of the century. He didn't consider there was a difference in perceptions about overpaid tech kiddies drinking lattes all day vs. normal people supporting their families. The thing is, it's been an open secret since before DOGE started that DOGE was a distraction to justify his unprecedented regressive tax cuts. What, Elon didn't know about that? How could he possibly be shocked about that bill?
So what was this really about from his side?

We can't take farmers and take all their people and send them back because they don't have maybe what they're supposed to have. They get rid of some of the people who have been there for 25 years and they work great and then you throw them out and they're replaced by criminals.

I will go on the record that if Trump is involved with the island stuff and young girl stuff, I'll vote for impeachment and a new conservative president, Vance and Rubio will work.
If it turns out that Epstein was involved in a blackmail scheme for the elite, as the Tucker Carlson's of the world have said, all heck will break loose across the board, it will be bad. If he did it seems that Biden administration would have leaked them before the election.
In return, is Musk now back in the fold with you folks? That will be interesting. Will he go hang out with Liz Chaney and Jeb Bush?
And also for the record, I agree with Musk that we need to cut spending, and I'll repeat what I wrote earlier that I have no idea how we will pay for the Bill.
Musk said Trump would not have won without him....that's a tough one for me....if he wouldn't have bought X, and gave free speech back to social media, he might be right.

I've been following every single bit of this and loving it more than anyone should admit to. Haven't seen anything so psychologically interesting in eleventy billion years.
It's abnormal pysch bliss! Absolutely glorious to behold!

Why would this move you, when nothing up to this point has? I'm genuinely curious.
