Democrat public officials move to silence welfare fraud whistleblowers

This week, Faye Bernstein, a 20-year Department of Human Services employee who was retaliated against for drawing attention to fraud, testified before the Fraud Committee.
As a member of the Legislative Audit Commission, I have had multiple whistleblowers contact me about being disciplined or fired for exposing fraud.
Ms. Bernstein was investigated, banned from DHS property, and slandered as a "racist" by DHS officials, simply for the act of calling out suspicious contract irregularities. This culture of silence within the DHS is reprehensible, and we are working to ensure that the officials who actively silenced whistleblowers are rooted out and fired.

Check out Ms. Bernstein's testimony. What do Democrats do when a whistleblower threatens to expose the fraud amongst their biggest campaign contributors? That's right. They say she's RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRacist. Party of the working class, what joke! They're the party of the political elites and the welfare/nonworking class. I guess in real life isn't much different than the response I get for exposing welfare fraud with kickbacks to Democrat politicians. There's only one rebuttal they know and it's always, "You're RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR Racist." Actually I hate welfare fraud from people of all races. Perhaps you're misinterpreting that because so many people and politicians who engage in welfare happen fraud to be black and happen to be Democrat.

That's awesome that you believe government employees shouldn't have to fear retribution for reporting crimes. I agree.
Given that under Trump, almost 80% of current government employees fear reporting crimes, because they will be punished if they do, I look forward to this finally being the thing that makes you stop supporting the current administration. The most recent survey (that took the place of the FEVS that Trump did away with in an attempt to silence public servants) found that people in oversight positions live in fear of reporting crimes that are being actively committed by Trump's loyalists. There were also multiple reports of constant harassment from Trump's federal goons whenever someone began investigating criminal activity and corruption within their oversight role.
The department that has seen the greatest intimidation from Trump's administration to not report crimes, because of fear of retribution, is the main entity tasked with protecting consumers from predatory and fraudulent businesses. Curious thing, that.
Surely this will be the straw that breaks the MAGA loyalty back, right?

Ajax, could you enlist someone with half a brain to show you how the quote function for this board works?

I thought
this was interesting
Welfare fraud remains a persistent concern in the United States social safety net system, though verified data reveals the actual scope differs substantially from public perception. The federal government reported approximately $247 billion in improper payments across all programs in fiscal year 2022, with approximately 70 percent resulting from insufficient documentation or administrative verification errors rather than intentional fraud.
So most of welfare fraud is the administrations fault.

Your statement is untrue. Most people who are sentenced for welfare fraud are black. That isn’t the same as saying most people who engage in welfare fraud are black. Are you able to understand the difference? I’m genuinely asking because, although you are coming across as a bit dim, I’m not yet 100% convinced that you are that thick.

So you're saying that reason that a higher percentage per capita of black people and Democrats are convicted of welfare fraud is completely due to systemic racism against blacks and democrats in the justice system, not because they commit more welfare fraud?
The orginal post is about the fact many who seek to prosecute welfare fraud or even report on it become a target for retaliation by state Democrat governors administrations often times because these Democrat politicians are trying to protect the kickbacks they receive often in the form of campaign donations from the same fraudsters they pay with tax dollars. Now obviously they can't tell the truth about this so they have to rely on their multipurpose tool to silence these allegations by continuing to shout, "You're RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRacist."

No. I’m saying your statement is untrue. You only know who is sentenced for fraud. Here’s the problem. It’s not individuals who commit the most welfare fraud.
The criminals having the greatest impact committing welfare fraud against the government are not the poor, but the privately owned businesses that take advantage of them.

You’re speculating beyond the facts.

Faye Bernstein testified, cool, but that doesn’t prove her retaliation claims are verified facts or justify turning it into a partisan attack on Keith Ellison or Tim Walz without independent findings backing it up.

3,096 people were charged by the DOJ for fraud with regard to the PPP business loan stemming from the sCaMdEmIc. 2,876 of those cases were white people according to DOJ demographic tracking.
White people are inherently warlike, thieving, and untrustworthy according to these statistics.
