So, if you were Boss of the GOP you'd basically make it the Green Party? In other words, it looks like you both left the Party as it left you, and you're a democratic socialist now?
Yes, that would be a pretty fair assessment. I voted for Bernie Sanders in the primaries. If Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had been eligible and running, I would probably have voted for her. Another politician I greatly respect is Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island. I think he would make a great President! Has a great name for it it too. He is one of the most scientifically literate people in government, and I love his quote about the recent impeachment:
We didn't need more witnesses, we needed more senators with spines.
As Congressman Eric Swalwell of California said:
We Could Have Had A Confession Signed by Trump, That Wasn’t Going To Change Their Minds

I can't help wondering how the 43 Senators who voted to acquit Trump feel about knowing that the majority of their fellow Senators probably think of them as spineless cowards.

They don't care. They look at everyone else as traitors to their way of life.

There was a guy I read in my 20s named John Bradshaw who used to talk about shame (and your inner child) at length, and he always noted that people with the deepest sense of shame would often behave in completely shameless ways to compensate.

Republican senators lend his ideas credibility.

This might be due to turtle-like response speed. McConnell may have been unable to press the guilty button in time.
the irony against McConnell on this is over the top sensational.

Yup! I hope infamy of their cowardice brings them all the failure and rejection they so fully deserve! Especially McConnell, Graham, Cruz and Hawley!

As I suspect you are also aware, Hawley doesn't even live in the State of Missouri he supposedly represents and that voted him into office. How in the heck is he allowed to get away with that?
