What a stunning contrast between Abraham Lincoln, the first Republican President and arguably the greatest of all American Presidents, and Donald Trump, the latest of Republican Presidents and arguably the worst, most corrupt, most incompetent and most dishonest of all American Presidents. Even more stunning and heartbreaking to me is how this "Golden calf idol" of a president is effectively worshiped by such a disturbingly large proportion of Republican voters. The only real competence Trump has is his ability to scam others into supporting him by directly appealing the latent racist, religious and other forms of bigotry that still exists in the hearts and minds of the worst of us.
I think the people are 'human statues' - real people who hold a pose while sprayed with metallic paint, in this case gold paint. The idea, presumably, is that Trump is driving his golf-cart through a cemetery.huckelberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 4:52 pmI am curious about what this image is. I certainly reminds me of Trump but the head does not look like him at least to my eyes. It looks like an art object by Jeff Koons, (?). That would be my guess based upon style.
I suspect it's supposed to be a parody of this:huckelberry wrote: ↑Tue Mar 02, 2021 4:52 pmI am curious about what this image is. Well thank you Doc, that clarifies a bit. I should not have thought Koons would leave his trademark vapidity behind.
