Regular missionary as opposed to ward missionary, like Dr. Exiled asked. A ward missionary would be from a local congregation.
Pretty disingenuous way for full-time missionaries to introduce themselves.
Did you catch the part where he's trying to friend people in the private community Facebook group? That was his first post there. Now he's trying to make contact with people behind the scenes by sending friend requests.
The post I could take. The behind the scenes friending using a community group? Um. No.

Granted, it’s been many years, but I don’t recall a class called “Boundaries” in the Mission Training Center. After all, how important is etiquette when there are souls to be saved?
he/him we all just have to live through it,
holding each other’s hands.
Looks like your dealing with an aggressive door to door salesman who isn't beyond putting his foot in the door to prevent people from slamming it on him. Missionaries are taught to be aggressive, polite, but aggressive. So, joining local Facebook groups, etc., is part of the program.
When I was on my mission, I remember being taught that the message was so eternally important that we as missionaries should do anything humanly possible to get the message out. Boundaries, in that mind set, are merely something to jump over, so to speak, or to be politely disrespected. Only after no is said hundreds of times will the true blue missionary get the message. And then, he/she will wait a bit, trying to figure out a way around the "no."
Anyway, so this sister missionary who jumped over the wall to get into my community was one of those who was going to take the message to my community by force if necessary. I spoke to her a few times. I think she meant well, just a little brainwashed from all the sales meeting hype that the mission presidents and area leaders gave her periodically.
If the Texas kid gets too aggressive, you can contact his mission president (LDS.org lists mission president contacts and the areas they serve). Then let the mission president know what this kid is doing and that it is unwelcome. I'm sure the mission president would silence the attack dog if it came to it.
Myth is misused by the powerful to subjugate the masses all too often.
Speaking of missionaries overstepping, on the ex-Mormons reddit, someone posted a group exchange where a missionary asked,
"what brings you joy?"
When a person responded, "my son and husband," the missionary responded
"my family too! Would you like to be with your family forever?"
The response was classic.
"what kinda question is that?"
Some LDS don't seem to get that their questions are intrusive, and can even feel threatening. The reality is even worse though, because the 'promise' of eternal families IS a threat, as Nelson pointed out in his recent talk on how families will NOT be together if everyone doesn't behave exactly the way Mormons insist they have to. Including forking over 10% for your lifetime to support their quest to hoard a trillion dollars worth of earthly stuff.
If anyone scaled a fence out here to trespass on anyone's property...there would likely be an ambulance involved.
Unless it was Travon Martin or an illegal immigrant. Then you better shut up, open your gates, let them take what they want, and pray that they aren't injured during the process.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

Travon Martin was with his father on a visit to the house of his father's fiancée. He went out to a convenience store, and was returning home with the Skittles candy and an Arizona watermelon drink that he had purchased. He was unarmed.
George Zimmerman, a volunteer Neighborhood Watch person saw him walking home and thought he looked 'suspicious'. He approached Travon Martin, there was an altercation, and George Zimmerman then shot Travon Martin dead.
So what's all this stuff about letting Travon Martin take what he wants while you pray not to be injured? He ended up dead because he committed the offence of 'going out to a convenience store while black and then walking home with his purchases'.

I just find it funny that walls are immoral Democrats have gates and armed guards patrolling their own property. I might just drive my truck to the border and haul a couple hundred of them northward and dump them off at her place to see just how amenable to sharing she really is.
Then maybe a few hundred BLM protesters on the return trip.
And when the Confederates saw Jackson standing fearless like a stonewall, the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.

So why did you decide to post saying that people should be worried that if Travon Martin came round they would just have to "let them take what they want, and pray that [you] aren't injured during the process". He was an innocent young man who was walking home and got shot dead because he looked 'suspicious', i.e. black.
Do you think it was fair to drag this poor dead kid into it?

I would agree MPs should know better, but clearly not all do. Posted yesterday:
I posted yesterday about a missionary soliciting my high school son on Instagram. I called the mission office this morning, and received a call back from a very unapologetic mission president. He saw nothing wrong with the missionary’s approach because the missionary is a representative of Christ. The missionary’s motives were pure, so problem solved in his mind. He thought any parent would be happy to have someone inviting their child to Bible study.
I told the president that the missionary had friended many high schoolers, as well as middle schoolers. I tried to explain that 99.9% of parents would be understandably furious with a missionary contacting their 12/13 year olds inviting them places.
I was in shock at his responses to me. “How did the missionary even know they were contacting minors? What else are our missionaries supposed to do? It is the parent’s responsibility to be checking their children’s social media. So if they have a problem with it they can stop it.” Etc, etc.I tried to talk reason into this man for 15 minutes. The area authority beeped in when we were talking, and he had to go. I hung up shaking and beyond frustrated. My husband had me ready to call the news. I received another phone call about 15 minutes later with a much more contrite man. The area authority must have seen the problem, and miraculously the mission president agreed with my position and was going to email all his missionaries about contact with minors. I’m still upset, but hopeful that he corrects the problem. There really should be some directive from the all knowing prophet, or at least Kirton Mckonkie.
The crazy thing is he wasn’t even deterred when I threatened to tell all the parents of the minors. I said, “if you are not willing to stop your missionaries from contacting minors, then I will contact all the parents I know on this missionary’s friend list and warn them. He told me to do what I needed to do.
He was an innocent young man who was walking home and got shot dead because he looked 'suspicious', i.e. black.
Travon could have walked away. But he saw a short fat territorial Latino and knew he could whip him in a fist fight. How bad do you think Travon intended to hurt Zimmerman for following him and asking who he was? He had him down in MMA style ground and pound with Zimmerman screaming for help. For some reason Travon wasn't street smart enough to realize that Zimmerman could have been armed.
I don't know if Jersey Girl is a aware of this but in the case of BLM marching into your gated community, you're not allowed to even brandish a firearm at them. Even calling the police is considered violent racism. If you cross the woke mob wrong, you'll find yourself in prison and paying an insurmountable amount in legal fees to ever get out. I know Mormon missionary speech is not protected in the same way BLM protest is but you still can't keep people out of your gated community based on the precedents that have been set this summer.
