Dreams are recycling of our experiences. I don't see God. I don't believe there is a God to see. Taking drugs to promote health says nothing about God to me. What does it say about God to you? What you are calling "tools" I would call distractions. Distractions from God. He didn't put those things here to help us, he didn't put them here at all. We created them for our own purposes and we are wasting time with them, and that's okay, but it doesn't hurt to notice it once in a while.
If dreams are nothing more than but hallucinations, but they can tell us things, not noticed by the conscious mind then why would a drug which causes hallucinations be any different? The big difference between dreams and drugs that cause hallucinations is that you are conscious when the drugs start to take effect, allowing you to control where you go and what things you want to know about, as compared to dreams which you are unconscious when they start up, allowing for no control over what they will show you.
God put all the plants and animals on earth for us to use, including marijuana and psychedelic mushrooms (among others). LSD may be man made, but causes the same effects, whether or not God put it here directly. God also tells us to use all things in wise and honest reasons, and in moderation. Are they distractions? Maybe, but not for everyone. Had I not taken the trips I had taken before, I seriously doubt I would have the concepts I have today about spirituality, nor would I have the ability to process symbols as I do now.
