What is it? I can't tell...

It is The Nutcracker. All of the spoiled children, gorgeous dresses, jackets, pants, shoes, hair, etc., with the stunning Christmas tree behind them compared to the barefoot children living in the squalor and poverty with the walls of trash bags behind them in the previous post.

Unfortunately it came out very dark.

I just had a moment that felt exactly like that picture. Seriously, not 5 minutes ago, I had that perfect feeling. I don't know why I came here, I was just gonna blog about it, it was so intense, and wow. That picture. Holy wow.

1 3/4 pound octopus
4 tablespoons olive oil
2 large onions sliced
salt and pepper
1 bay leaf
1/4 cup dry white wine

Directions:

Remove head section from octopus. Clean. Wash arms. Slice the octopus into bite-sized chunks. Cook in olive oil over medium flame about 10 minutes, turning regularly. Add onions, seasoning and wine. Cover and simmer gently until the octopus is tender, about 15 minutes.
