Arthur C. Clarke dies at 90

Arthur C. Clarke, science fiction author, dies at 90.

His books was of best sci-fi works, they sound believable, the characters was lively.

In the "Childhood's End" he has an interesting thought: to that time (as far as I know XXIV century) the religions would died out, because based on exact statistical data, the numbers/rates of the victims in the disasters are independent of the religious affinity; it was proved that divine intervention doesn't exist, no "god granted my prayer", no "god punished that sinners".

- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

I was just looking on the net about the correspondence he had with CS Lewis.

I loved 2001: A Space Odyssey as well as the 2010 Space Odyssey.
