I'm really liking it.

I don't know, it just doesn't seem right. It seems like a feature that goes against what this board says it stands for.

I don't mind the worthless remarks. I don't take this board that seriously. Scrolling past them isn't that hard, either. :)

Gramps,

Search on the incoherent posts of SUAS and you'll see one of the posters that I choose to ignore without having to wade through their anti-intellectual vomit.

It seems too much to me like watching a movie where the sound keeps breaking up, and then it is fine and then it breaks up, and so on....

Really, the only posts I can't stand are the 'killing gays' posts. I know who to avoid on that score. Otherwise, it just ain't such a big deal, you know!

There are a few people on this board who consistently are neither interesting nor entertaining. When you read what they say I too often feel obliged to respond to them. Out of sight, out of mind.

I also like this feature. I spend less time writing sarcastic garbage in response to other's garbage. This is a plus. Those who despise me will also likely ignore me and then we can pretend we are not even on the same message board. Everyone is a winner.

So far I've seen two kinds of people complain: those who haven't tried it and are worried about it and those who are likely on a lot of ignore lists.

I encourage all to try it.

Is there anything more annoying and juvenile than telling someone you are ignoring them?

Holy crap. Grow up.

I think you should direct that question to Mister Scratch who recently, after making a request to me for a response, announced to me that he was ignoring me.

It was really directed towards Nehor, who includes who he is ignoring in his sigline.

And anyone else who announces they ignore people. Childish.

No. I already tried that for myself.

I dunno about anyone else. I'm not complaining about the feature, but I am curious about who's foe list I'm on. I'd also like to know if anyone wants me to be their imaginary friend.

I ignore the voices inside my head. Believe me, you'd be glad that I do if you knew what they were telling me.

I'll just say this. If I had ignored the venomous antics of Vegas and Porter way back when, I would have missed out on some very helpful insights into their personalities and why they feel about the church and its teachings the way they do.

On the surface they are prickly and tough to get to know, but they do have something to say underneath the harshness. I would be less a person now if I had not read their rantings over time and really gotten to know them.

Thank goodness that the ignore feature was not available all that time ago.
