1. Gaz puts "souls" in the same physical box as water or fire. He thinks souls are made up of a physical substance. I'm not sure how much he thinks the soul weighs, but if he could convince my doc that it's my soul that needs to lose weight instead of my body, I'd be grateful.

2. Gaz thinks nature responds to the command of a virtuous priesthood holder. I'm not sure how he figures this, since we have absolutely no evidence (and the prophets certainly don't claim this) to support his assertion. Unless he thinks there have been no men righteous enough to command the elements since Moses parted the Red Sea?

3. Gaz thinks if we were just obedient enough, we'd know all this stuff like he does.

Okay, I'm more clear now.

When he says that nature responds to the command of a virtuous priesthood holder, is that the same thing as Jesus commanding the storm to be still? Do LDS believe that their priesthood holders are equal to Jesus?

Yup. Cool if it works, but it doesn't.

Do LDS believe that their priesthood holders are equal to Jesus?

I think it's safe to say LDS believe the LDS version of the higher priesthood is the same priesthood Jesus held. I don't think they believe they personally think they are equal to the Christ.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Okay. Thanks, harm. Timewise, I don't think I'll be able to continue with this discussion.

Chap. XXXVI verse 4-5

4. Then the cherub took two figs and brought them to Adam and Eve. But he threw them to them from afar; for they might not come near the cherub by reason of their flesh, that could not come near the fire.

5. At first, angels trembled at the presence of Adam and were afraid of him. But now Adam trembled before the angels and was afraid of them.

Do celestialized beings feel fear?

Yes, for their children ...

But maybe what is recorded here was misread/understood ... Maybe it was more Dread than fear.

Heck, who knows how many times he had done this before (and how many wifes he had left to do it yet again for in the future). He knew what was ahead (I assume verse 4 might be playing a part in his physical transformation, heck, I'd hesitate taking that medicine also).

Let's say we are children of our Father in Heaven, and hence we have similar attributes to us. Let's say I'm dear old dad wanting to nap on the couch, yet my wife has this huge honey-due project. I'm coming off the couch dragging my feet!

I'm talking about the emotional intimacy that occurs between a husband and wife.

How many of us have an intimate relationship with the Holy Ghost? Do you have an intimate relationship with Christ? Do you hope to have one after you arrive in heaven?

In heaven? with Christ? The Temple taught me of a Patriarchal/Holy order, I was kind of hoping for that Mansion that Christ was going to prepare for me and my wives/children?

Gaz is in pretty good company with this concept, as far as older Mormon Doctrines are concerned.

Orsen Pratt wrote a bunch about this (i.e. the Seer). as well as the likes of the "Potters Clay"

edit: but of course one of the very few "Declarations to the world" involved denouncing several of these parts of the noted book  I'm lucky enougth to have one of them that does not have the pages torn out as requested in the proclamation.

If your referencing Lilith here, Im not buying it.
