Canada is obviously still closed. Mail delivery in Alberta appears to be as efficient as Canadian health care!

Peterson returns to thread and issues Farms Knowledge Ranking tests to the ignorant members.

ROFL! I saw that; it was classic. The trouble is that DanGB is treating DCP's mind-games with genuine earnestness and curiosity. Frankly, I'm very interested to see DCP's replies, though I'm guessing that he won't offer any. Instead, he'll probably either (A) change the question yet again, or (B) proceed to personally insult DanGB.

Hey Doctor Scratch,

What would the questions on "FARMS knowledge ranking tests" look like if YOU delivered them? :-)

Heh. Well, Dr. Shades, the trouble here is that Dr. Peterson's questions weren't designed to actually quiz DanGB on his knowledge of Mormon apologia. Instead, the "Knowledge Ranking" is really just a set-up. It really doesn't matter what number on the scale DanGB says; DCP will just proceed to dismiss him with a hubristic flick of the wrist: "You clearly aren't familiar with our scholarship."

But, this is old news. DanGB could rephrase his inquiry thusly: "Where can I find secular, academic validation for the apologists' and the Church's most controversial historical assertions?" You won't get an answer from them. Instead, they'll change the subject, saying something like, "Haven't you heard of Margaret Barker? She's not LDS, and just look at her interest in Mormonism!" Yes; okay. That's very nice, but does she agree that the Nephites lived in Meso America? Does she agree that the Lamanites a primarily of Jewish ancestry? Or, if not that, the apologists will yank the rug out and engage in an assault on scholarship and academic validation more generally, e.g., DCP's hackneyed, "Einstein's theories weren't recognized for ages!" or whatever else.

If they were honest, they would just admit that their theories and arguments are completely absurd as far as legit, secular academics are concerned. But they are not honest, so they won't fess up to this.

Good Morn' Gentlepersons!

Last Friday I placed a call to a high-ranking friend of mine that works for the Canada Post. I quickly reviewed the 2nd Watson Letter scenario with him and asked his how long it would take for a package of documents to arrive in Alberta from any location within the United States.

He suggest three to five days was a common timeline for parcel post to travel from the United States to Alberta.

I am sorry to say my faith in our Mormon friend's claim is strained at best.

Very Respectfully,

Now, now, Zak has informed us that his IQ is in the genius range.*

Well, who knew Zakuska was such a "furtile" fruit of intelligence!?

Or was that futile...?

Anyway, back to the important matter at hand: where is that second Watson letter? I'm about to call shenanigans.

Did Einstein know any Lamanites?

beastie, that's true, but that's just compared to normal people like us. The world of apologetics holds much higher standards so Zakuska is really average or below average when compared to his peers. merely being in the genius range gets you about as far as Jskains or Leeuniverse who have also made similar revelations about themselves. On the first to second distribution you're dealing with Charity at near 170 if I remember right and CJCampbell who tips the scales approaching 200. And then for the real heavyweights, recall that on MAD, DCP and Hamblin were each sumbitted for the distinction of being the smartest person alive. DCP at least saw the thread and let it ride, so we can assume he agreed. We can probably extrapolate from these other scores and estimate either of those two at around 790 or higher.

So let's face it, if you're an apologist and a genius, you kind of suck.

Day 15. Watson Letter

Greg Smith becoming more and more suspect. Has gone radio silent since the Farms boys muzzled him. Temple Rec being held in balance!

Peterson continues with his arrogance and badgers members who ask the honest questions. Soon to call in the mod squad to ban such infidels!
