True, but I have positive evidence that you didn't understand the article.

I got the correct "feeling" when I re-entered the church at the age of 21, having been totally apostate and sinful since the age of 14, actually 15, when the wonderful substance of marijuana was introduced to me. It actually helped my bipolar episodes. But enough fun, at 21 I'd just moved out of my boyfriend's house, actually I paid the rent, but he was beating the tarnation out of me and I internalized that I must be truly at fault, since I was living in sin. So, I had that burning in the bosom one night, and returned to the church until I turned 35, when I realized not only had I just had a complete mental break down, but pot re-entered my life, this time sustaining an my stomach through a hideous illness, and entering into an affair with a gentleman 14 years my junior. Yes, a stupid thing to do, but that's when I left, because none of my friends at church would talk to me, and I was having the worst bipolar episode I've ever had in my life, even since. So, the "feeling" didn't outlast my behavior, and subsequent research. Why am I always advised to review my post on this thread??

Since many do not believe the church a cult, then why do most exmormons become atheists, rather than choosing a more benign faith, say, Quakerism?

Hasa Diga Eebowai wrote:So subgenius what is your response to those who recieve the answer that the Book of Mormon is not true. Is Satan capable of answering prayers in the same way the Holy Ghost does? Are your "spiritual experiences" evidence whereas theirs are self generated? In either case the test would appear to be inadequate.

Thanks,

Hasa Diga Eebowai

1. I offer no response, because none is necessary.
2. No, Satan can not. But he can confuse.
3. My spiritual experiences are as you state - spiritual experiences; evidence is another topic. I can not know if "theirs" were self-generated or not.
4. The test is quite adequate, your understanding of the test is what seems to be inadequate.

Because atheism affords them the greatest opportunity for self-indulgence which is at the heart of every atheistic endeavor.
