Does this Board Need Heavier Moderation?
With the type of attention this Board is getting amongst TBMs, GAs and The Press, does this board require heavier moderation to keep it's posters genuine?
Some posters get on here and say things that are intended to deceive while they claim the LDS are preaching lies. Can't fight a lie with a lie. If these posters really hate the LDS as much as they claim, wouldn't they want to keep their posts honest? Shouldn't the mods ban for posting and hoping only for a reaction? These People are just lowering themselves to Joseph Smiths level. If these posters are acting like kids should they be banned?
Should Posters be required to state their reasons for posting here?
ie: Wasted my life in the Cult, Prop 8, Phony Doctrine, Belongs to another Faith, Prop 8 in addition to Phony Doctrine etc...
I challenge Posters to say what keeps them posting here and what they intend to accomplish.

I like this sort of culturally conditioned ability to think and oh, having an exceptionally delicious bowl of pasta.

Dr. Shades pays me $1 a post.

As to the question of stricter moderation, feel free to volunteer to Shades if you want to moderate. $1

This board is far and away the best, most reasonably moderated Mormon forum on the Internet.
Well done mods.

No need. The purpose for the critics here is to supply a steady drumbeat of Eeyore-like out-of-context negativity and dishonest speculation to help drive the juggernaut of yellow journalism against the LDS Church.

It is balanced. But I do believe that many people of faith would not come here because of the perceived attacks. I have a pretty tough skin but many people do not. Also the people who come here with just a little knowledge of scripture will get crushed. If there was a safe zone for just TBM then I think the site may attract more comments from them. It all depends on what the people who run the site wish to do. I have no complaints.
