Hi Themis!
Please know that I was not speaking of myself, but of the Redeemed among us, the Apostles and Prophets.
The Holy Spirit moves according to the Will of God, it is not some something that we can manipulate, though we all receive according to our ability to receive.
And so if we wish to receive a greater outpouring of Spirit, then we need to increase our ability to receive, and that is done by following the commandments of our Savior.
An interesting story about receiving a greater outpouring is found with Elisha.
9 And so it was, when they had crossed over, that Elijah said to Elisha, “Ask! What may I do for you, before I am taken away from you?”
Elisha said, “Please let a double portion of your spirit be upon me.”
10 So he said, “You have asked a hard thing. Nevertheless, if you see me when I am taken from you, it shall be so for you; but if not, it shall not be so.” 11 Then it happened, as they continued on and talked, that suddenly a chariot of fire appeared with horses of fire, and separated the two of them; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried out, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel and its horsemen!” So he saw him no more.Elisha wished to receive a double portion of the Spirit - that with which Elijah had been anointed, and what did Elijah say?
If you can perceive this incredible something that will be occurring in the spiritual - my ascension, then it shall be as you have asked.
Elijah was a Holy Man, anointed with the Holy Spirit in a Powerful way and so could speak for the Holy Spirit.
Elisha proved his ability to receive a greater outpouring with the expansion of his awareness (see posts above on the expansion of awareness), being able to see deep into the spiritual realms, which requires a great level of purity.
May all be so purified, gifted with an expansion of awareness, so that they might receive a greater outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Shalom!
