I think you left someone out. There is a third party that will guide you if you let them. The problem from the outside is that all those who try and follow the Spirit will appear all over the place. Everyone gets their own help based on what they personally need. Then the world will interfere with any message you do receive. Then your own world view will modify how you will interpret the message. With all of this going on those who see the inconsistency blame it on the Spirit or a fable of the Spirit. But the blame should be on man.

This doesn't help you. How do you know you are getting right and not getting wrong like you admit others do.
Please don't use what you call scripture since this is a circular argument.
gdemetz wrote:Now, they don't even want you to use scripture, FrankTalk! Maybe they are afraid that if you do it might invite the Spirit?
You don't even seem to get what a circular argument is. by the way I have read and prayed about LDS scripture for most of my life. The issue is how you know that the spirit is a divine source, and even how you know you are getting the right interpretation. If you want an intelligent discussion try and deal with the issues.
gdemetz wrote:You have prayed?!? Did you honestly expect an answer with your negative attitude towards God's work?!?
Are you such an idiot that you think for most if my life as a believer that I had a negative attitude towards what you might define as God's work? Even now my attitude is not negative, but realistic as to what I think the spirit really is. You really need to think before posting.
gdemetz wrote:If you think that your attitude is not negative now, I recommend a second opinion!
And how would you get a first opinion given that you don't even know me. You are at this point just dodging the issue. I expect you will see a negative attitude from everyone who disagrees with you about the LDS church. The issue is how you know the spirit is really a divine being communicating with you. Your whole I have a negative attitude is only based on that I at this time disagree with you that it is God's work. That's it. Try and stick with the discussion.
