Re: "Doctor has Life after Death Experience..."
Sleepy head, if one here is fighting against the church here inspired by Satan, then there is a good chance that God will not honor their prayers. On the other hand, maybe God sent me here to help those poor souls! He he!
Drifting, you have erred again. The prophet of the church is the only one who is entitled to receive revelation for the whole church specifically, however, anyone can receive revelation if they are worthy!

Exactly.
How can Dr Mary Neal, a non Mormon, be worthy if Mormonism is the only one true Church?

There are many worthy people who are not members of Christ church. One good example was Cornelius of New Testament fame.

That may well be what you believe.
However, it's not what the LDS Church believes.
For instance, here is what David A Bednar (Apostle) had to say in June 2012:
What is revelation?
Revelation is communication from God to His children on the earth.
Sincere desire and worthiness invite the spirit of revelation into our lives.
Some revelations are received immediately; some are recognized gradually.
As we honor our covenants and keep the commandments, as we strive to do good and to become better, we can walk with the confidence that God will guide our steps.

Re: "Doctor has Life after Death Experience..."
Now personally I have no view on NDEs either way but I am intrigued by gdemetz's readiness to accept them at face value and to even explain apparent difficulties away with pat little Mormon arguments. I can only conclude that they fit neatly into the Mormon mindset and its obsession with the dead as demonstrated by so much of Mormon temple ritual. If Joseph Smith were alive today, being the opportunist he was, I think he would seize on these things the way gdemetz apparently does, perhaps using them today as the source of his "revelations" rather than the methods he did use. I can see the headline now: I DIED AND WENT TO HEAVEN AND GOD TOLD ME ALL CHURCHES ARE AN ABOMINATION.

I have read many cases, too, but since their is no proof either way that such experiences are after death experiences, I have an open mind on the subject.

Actually, there is some very strong proof! Did you read my post about the "red shoe"?

Re: "Doctor has Life after Death Experience..."
I postulate that the Near Death Experience one has depends, to some degree, on one's prior programming. I had a near drowning for which I was hospitalized in ICU about thirty years ago. Before I was rescued, I passed through the tunnel of light, felt the warmth and all-encompassing love--but saw no angels, no God, no confirmation of religion or heaven or hell. The experience may well have been the result of a chemical reaction that precedes death in an oxygen-deprived brain.

OK Morley, then it is obvious from what you stated that you did not have the same type or degree of experience that some others have had.
