I believe that the Creator of this universe has given us messages over time.
I believe that there is light and darkness.

Conservatively speaking ... give Mormonism at least 1000 years to move to at least 1/3 the timeline. And I guess well see what is revealed in that amount of time about christianity
FrankTalk has the basics right-- it is the conclusions that are wrong.
If the Creator of the universe has given us messages over time, and our perception of the Creator changes with our reception of those messages, why would the Creator allow a 1800-year black hole in that messaging system? Humanity has made progress through time, and it seems to me that any organization that tosses the traditions (evolved from the messages received) of Catholicism, if it does not live and breathe anti-Catholicism, eventually evolves into something resembling-- Catholicism. In response, Catholicism learns from the successful aspects of those failures. Ana-baptists-- concern for the needs of the laity. Marxists-- social justice. Mormons-- building of community and working together.
Two thousand years, building on the foundation of Judaism makes it much more. That is a lot of learning. Why toss it on a whim?
So it seems to me.
