...blood feud, vendetta, faida, or private war, is a long-running argument or fight, often between social groups of people, especially families or clans. Feuds begin because one party (correctly or incorrectly) perceives itself to have been attacked, insulted or wronged by another. Intense feelings of resentment trigger the initial retribution, which causes the other party to feel equally aggrieved and vengeful. The dispute is subsequently fuelled by a long-running cycle of retaliatory violence. This continual cycle of provocation and retaliation makes it extremely difficult to end the feud peacefully. Feuds frequently involve the original parties' family members and/or associates, can last for generations and may result in extreme acts of violence.
Advocated by word of god. (by the way a petty, vengeful tribal one, from the skirt of the map, four thousand years before us.)

1. It is a vicious cycle, An eye for and eye and a tooth for a tooth, would make the whole world Blind and Toothless.
2. People in authority to over see such punishments tend to become desensitised to it and will often abuse it, because they cannot be subject to it in the execution of their duties, and so are above it.
ie: person 'A' strikes person 'B' with a stone and kills them, the one assuming authority person 'C', then stones person 'B', someone must now stone person 'C' and so on and so on to the end of persons.
GOD certainly does move in mysterious ways... Or He is a Psychopathic, Clueless imbecile.
Good luck in your quest to become LIKE him.
The trouble is, we do not need government if it doesn't do the job it was intended to do, The simple fact is that far too many officials claim "christian" virtures when faced with carrying out the execution of people who have done terrible things, but remain as secular as dirt when one mentions creationism, prayer, and Bible reading in public institutions. Murder is killing in the name of one's personal agenda. Execution is taking a life in the name of society on behalf of God. There is a big difference. Those executed always have a time for reflection. The murder victim gets no reprieve or consideration. And ABORTION is murder and yet the Democratic Party sees this as freedom and not evil, or at least, a very sad thing to be avoided as often as possible. The only vicious cycle I see growing is poor people being murdered for what little money the have by thugs who may or may not be caught. And if they are they get a place to live, 3 square meals a day, an education, and entertainment (all for the price of about 50 thousand a year per inmate).
Exodus 22:1-31 Okay, someone steals an ox or a sheep and slaughters it or sells it must pay back five head of cattle for the ox and four sheep for the sheep. A thief is caught breaking in at night and is struck a fatal blow, the defender is not guilty, but if it happens after sunrise, the defender is guilty of murder. Anyone who steals must pay it back in full, but if they have nothing, they need to be sold to pay for their theft. If the stolen animal is found alive in their possession—whether ox or donkey or sheep—they must pay back double. If anyone grazes their livestock in a field or vineyard and lets them stray and they graze in someone else’s field, the offender must make restitution from the best of their own field or vineyard. If a fire breaks out and spreads into thornbushes so that it burns shocks of grain or standing grain or the whole field, the one who started the fire must make restitution. If anyone gives a neighbor money or goods for safekeeping and they are stolen from the neighbor’s house, the thief, if caught, must pay back double. If the thief is not found, the owner of the house must appear in court, and they will determine whether the owner of the house has laid hands on the other person’s property. In all cases of rightful ownership of an ox, a donkey, a sheep, a garment, or any other lost property where both parties claime that the goods ar theirs, both parties are to bring their cases before court.The one whom the judges declare guilty must pay back double to the other. If anyone gives a donkey, an ox, a sheep or any other animal to a neighbor for safekeeping and it dies or is injured or is dragged away while no one is looking, the issue between them will be settled by the taking of an oath before the Lord that the neighbor did not lay hands on the other person’s property. The owner is to accept that some wild animal came, and no restitution is required. But if the animal was stolen from the neighbor, restitution must be made to the owner. If it was torn to pieces by a wild animal, the neighbor shall bring in the remains as evidence and shall not be required to pay for the dead animal. If anyone borrows an animal from their neighbor and it is injured or dies while the owner is not present, they must make restitution. But if the owner is with the animal, the borrower will not have to pay. If the animal was hired, the money paid for the hire covers the loss. If a man seduces a virgin who is not engaged to be married and sleeps with her, he must pay the bride-price, and she shall be his wife. If her father absolutely refuses to give her to him, he must still pay the bride-price for virgins. Do not allow a sorceress to live among the nation. Anyone who has sexual contact with an animal is to be put to death. Whoever sacrifices to any god other than the Lord must be destroyed. Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt. Do not take advantage of the widow or the fatherless. If so done and they cry out to God, God will certainly hear their cry. God's anger will be aroused, and God will bring a sword against those involved (Note: this could mean an invader of some sort) ; wives will become widows and children fatherless. If one lends money to one of God's people among them who is needy, do not treat it like a business deal; charge no interest. If one takes his neighbor’s cloak as a pledge, return it by sunset, where that cloak is the only covering your neighbor has available. What else can they sleep in? When they cry out to God, HE will hear, for is compassionate. Do not blaspheme God or curse the ruler of the nation. Do not hold back offerings from granaries or vats. One must offer to God the firstborn of one's sons. Do the same among cattle and sheep. Let the livestock stay with their mothers for seven days, but give them to God on the eighth day. Israel is to be God's holy people. So do not eat the meat of an animal torn by wild beasts; throw it to the dogs.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `When a man doth steal an ox or sheep, and hath slaughtered it or sold it, five of the herd he doth repay for the ox, and four of the flock for the sheep.
2 `If in the breaking through, the thief is found, and he hath been smitten, and hath died, there is no blood for him;
3 if the sun hath risen upon him, blood [is] for him, he doth certainly repay; if he have nothing, then he hath been sold for his theft;
4 if the theft is certainly found in his hand alive, whether ox, or ass, or sheep -- double he repayeth.
5 `When a man depastureth a field or vineyard, and hath sent out his beast, and it hath pastured in the field of another, [of] the best of his field, and the best of his vineyard, he doth repay.
6 `When fire goeth forth, and hath found thorns, and a stack, or the standing corn, or the field, hath been consumed, he who causeth the burning doth certainly repay.
7 `When a man doth give unto his neighbour silver, or vessels to keep, and it hath been stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, he repayeth double.
8 `If the thief is not found, then the master of the house hath been brought near unto God, whether he hath not put forth his hand against the work of his neighbour;
9 for every matter of transgression, for ox, for ass, for sheep, for raiment, for any lost thing of which it is said that it is his; unto God cometh the matter of them both; he whom God doth condemn, he repayeth double to his neighbour.
10 `When a man doth give unto his neighbour an ass, or ox, or sheep, or any beast to keep, and it hath died, or hath been hurt, or taken captive, none seeing --
11 an oath of Jehovah is between them both, that he hath not put forth his hand against the work of his neighbour, and its owner hath accepted, and he doth not repay;
12 but if it is certainly stolen from him, he doth repay to its owner;
13 if it is certainly torn, he bringeth it in -- a witness; the torn thing he doth not repay.
14 `And when a man doth ask [anything] from his neighbour, and it hath been hurt or hath died -- its owner not being with it -- he doth certainly repay;
15 if its owner [is] with it, he doth not repay, -- if it [is] a hired thing, it hath come for its hire.
16 `And when a man doth entice a virgin who [is] not betrothed, and hath lain with her, he doth certainly endow her to himself for a wife;
17 if her father utterly refuse to give her to him, money he doth weigh out according to the dowry of virgins.
18 `A witch thou dost not keep alive.
19 `Whoever lieth with a beast is certainly put to death.
20 `He who is sacrificing to a god, save to Jehovah alone, is devoted.
21 `And a sojourner thou dost not oppress, nor crush him, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt.
22 `Any widow or orphan ye do not afflict;
23 if thou dost really afflict him, surely if he at all cry unto Me, I certainly hear his cry;
24 and Mine anger hath burned, and I have slain you by the sword, and your wives have been widows, and your sons orphans.
25 `If thou dost lend My poor people with thee money, thou art not to him as a usurer; thou dost not lay on him usury;
26 if thou dost at all take in pledge the garment of thy neighbour, during the going in of the sun thou dost return it to him:
27 for it alone is his covering, it [is] his garment for his skin; wherein doth he lie down? and it hath come to pass, when he doth cry unto Me, that I have heard, for I [am] gracious.
28 `God thou dost not revile, and a prince among thy people thou dost not curse.
29 `Thy fulness and thy liquids thou dost not delay; the first-born of thy sons thou dost give to Me;
30 so thou dost to thine ox, to thy sheep; seven days it is with its dam, on the eighth day thou dost give it to Me.
31 `And ye are holy men to Me, and flesh torn in the field ye do not eat, to a dog ye do cast it.

In the daylight one is aware that the individual does not have a weapon and is not trying to murder anyone. The reality is that terrible diseases are spread into the general population by those who would abuse their sexual contact. This regards the nation of Israel. They know God. If someone wishes to worship some other god they should not live among them. There is the entire world the likes of such. The Lord is compassionate towards those who are His or want to be.
Exodus 23:1-33 “God says that no one should pass false rumors nor cooperate with evil people by lying on the witness stand. One must not follow the crowd by doing wrong things. When one is called to testify in a dispute, do not be swayed by the crowd to twist justice. One must not slant one's testimony in favor of a person just because that person is poor. If one comes upon his enemy’s ox or donkey that has strayed away, one must take it back to that owner regardless. If one sees that the donkey of someone who hates that one has collapsed under its load, that one must not walk by. Instead, one needs to stop and help. In a lawsuit, one must not deny justice to the poor. Never to charge anyone falsely with evil. Never sentence an innocent or blameless person to death, for God never declares a guilty person to be innocent. One must NEVER take no bribes, for a bribe makes one ignore something that one clearly observes. A bribe makes even a righteous person twist the truth. The Israelites must not oppress foreigners. They know what it’s like to be a foreigner, for they themselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. Plant and harvest crops for six years, and then let the land be renewed and lie uncultivated the seventh year. Let the poor among the Israelites harvest whatever grows on its own there. Leave the rest for wild animals to eat. The same applies to their vineyards and olive groves. Israel has six days each week for ordinary work, but on the seventh day working must stop. This gives their oxen and donkeys a chance to rest. It also allows the slaves and the foreigners living among the Israelites to be refreshed. Pay close attention to all Gods lessons. The Israelites must not call on the name of any other gods. Do not even speak their names. Each year Israel must celebrate three festivals in God's honor: First, celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread. For seven days the bread eaten must be made without yeast. Celebrate this festival annually at the appointed time in early spring, in the month of Abib (the anniversary of Israels departure from Egypt). No Israelite may appear before God without an offering.
Second, celebrate the Festival of Harvest, bring God the first crops of the harvest.
Finally, celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the harvest season, when Israel has harvested all the crops from their fields. These three times each year, every man in Israel must appear before the Sovereign, the Lord. They must not offer the blood of God's sacrificial offerings together with any baked goods containing yeast. And do not leave the fat from the festival offerings until the next morning. As they harvest their crops, they are to bring the very best of the first harvest to the house of the Lord God. Never cook a young goat in its mother’s milk. God is sending an angel before Israel to protect them on their journey and lead them safely to the place God prepared for them. Pay close attention to God, and obey his rules. Do not rebel against God, for Israel is God's representative, and God will not forgive such rebellion. But if they are careful to obey God, following all His instructions, then God will be an enemy to their enemies, opposing those who oppose them. God's angel will go before them and bring them into the land of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hivites, and Jebusites, so Israel may live there. And God will destroy them completely. Israel must not worship the gods of other nations or serve them in any way or imitate their evil practices. Instead, they must utterly destroy them and smash their sacred pillars. Israel must serve only the Lord God, then God will bless them with food and water, and will protect them from illness. There will be no miscarriages or infertility in the land, and God will give them long, full lives.
God will send His terror ahead of Israel and create panic among all the people whose lands they invade. God will make all Israel's enemies turn and run. God will send horror ahead of Israel to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites. God will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten Israel. God will drive them out a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land. And God will fix Israel's boundaries from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean Sea, and from the eastern wilderness to the Euphrates River. God will hand over to Israel the people now living in the land, and Israel will drive them out before them. Make no treaties with them or their gods. They must not live in Israel's land, or they will cause Israel to sin against God. If Israel serves their gods, they will be caught in the trap of idolatry.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 `Thou dost not lift up a vain report; thou dost not put thy hand with a wicked man to be a violent witness.
2 `Thou art not after many to evil, nor dost thou testify concerning a strife, to turn aside after many to cause [others] to turn aside;
3 and a poor man thou dost not honour in his strife.
4 `When thou meetest thine enemy's ox or his ass going astray, thou dost certainly turn it back to him;
5 when thou seest the ass of him who is hating thee crouching under its burden, then thou hast ceased from leaving [it] to it -- thou dost certainly leave [it] with him.
6 `Thou dost not turn aside the judgment of thy needy one in his strife;
7 from a false matter thou dost keep far off, and an innocent and righteous man thou dost not slay; for I do not justify a wicked man.
8 `And a bribe thou dost not take; for the bribe bindeth the open-[eyed], and perverteth the words of the righteous.
9 `And a sojourner thou dost not oppress, and ye -- ye have known the soul of the sojourner, for sojourners ye have been in the land of Egypt.
10 `And six years thou dost sow thy land, and hast gathered its increase;
11 and the seventh thou dost release it, and hast left it, and the needy of thy people have eaten, and their leaving doth the beast of the field eat; so dost thou to thy vineyard -- to thine olive-yard.
12 `Six days thou dost do thy work, and on the seventh day thou dost rest, so that thine ox and thine ass doth rest, and the son of thine handmaid and the sojourner is refreshed;
13 and in all that which I have said unto you ye do take heed; and the name of other gods ye do not mention; it is not heard on thy mouth.
14 `Three times thou dost keep a feast to Me in a year;
15 the Feast of Unleavened things thou dost keep; seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, as I have commanded thee, at the time appointed [in] the month of Abib; for in it thou hast come forth out of Egypt, and ye do not appear [in] My presence empty;
16 and the Feast of Harvest, the first fruits of thy works which thou sowest in the field; and the Feast of the In-Gathering, in the outgoing of the year, in thy gathering thy works out of the field.
17 `Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the face of the Lord Jehovah.
18 `Thou dost not sacrifice on a fermented thing the blood of My sacrifice, and the fat of My festival doth not remain till morning;
19 the beginning of the first-fruits of thy ground thou dost bring into the house of Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.
20 `Lo, I am sending a messenger before thee to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee in unto the place which I have prepared;
21 be watchful because of his presence, and hearken to his voice, rebel not against him, for he beareth not with your transgression, for My name [is] in his heart;
22 for, if thou diligently hearken to his voice, and hast done all that which I speak, then I have been at enmity with thine enemies, and have distressed those distressing thee.
23 `For My messenger goeth before thee, and hath brought thee in unto the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite, and I have cut them off.
24 `Thou dost not bow thyself to their gods, nor serve them, nor do according to their doings, but dost utterly devote them, and thoroughly break their standing pillars.
25 `And ye have served Jehovah your God, and He hath blessed thy bread and thy water, and I have turned aside sickness from thine heart;
26 there is not a miscarrying and barren one in thy land; the number of thy days I fulfil:
27 My terror I send before thee, and I have put to death all the people among whom thou comest, and I have given the neck of all thine enemies unto thee.
28 `And I have sent the hornet before thee, and it hath cast out the Hivite, the Canaanite, and the Hittite, from before thee;
29 I cast them not out from before thee in one year, lest the land be a desolation, and the beast of the field hath multiplied against thee;
30 little [by] little I cast them out from before thee, till thou art fruitful, and hast inherited the land.
31 `And I have set thy border from the Red Sea, even unto the sea of the Philistines, and from the wilderness unto the River: for I give into your hand the inhabitants of the land, and thou hast cast them out from before thee;
32 thou dost not make a covenant with them, and with their gods;
33 they do not dwell in thy land, lest they cause thee to sin against Me when thou servest their gods, when it becometh a snare to thee.'
Exodus 24:1-18 The Lord tells Moses to come up the mountain and bring along Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and seventy of Israel’s elders. They must worship from a distance. Only Moses is allowed to come near to the Lord. The others must not come near, and none of the other Israelites are allowed to climb up the mountain. Moses goes down to the people and repeats all the instructions and regulations the Lord has given him. All the people agree do everything the Lord has commanded. Moses carefully wrote down all the Lord’s instructions. Early the next morning Moses got up and built an altar at the foot of the mountain. He also set up twelve pillars, one for each of the twelve tribes of Israel, and sends some of the young Israelite men to present burnt offerings and to sacrifice bulls as peace offerings to the Lord. Moses drains half the blood from these animals into basins. The other half he splatters against the altar. Moses tooks the Book of the Covenant and reads it aloud to the people. They all respond to do everything the Lord commanded. Then Moses took the blood from the basins and splattered it over the people, declaring that the blood confirms the covenant the Lord has made. Moses, Aaron, Nadab, Abihu, and the seventy elders of Israel then climbup the mountain. They see the God of Israel. Under his feet there seemed to be a surface of brilliant blue lapis lazuli, as clear as the sky itself. Though these selected of Israel gaze upon God, they are not destroyed. In fact, they eat a covenant meal, eating and drinking in his presence.The Lord says to Moses to come on up the mountain to stay there. God will give Moses the tablets of stone on which God has inscribed the instructions and commands, Moses is to teach the people. Moses and his assistant Joshua set out, and Moses climbs up the mountain of God. Moses tells the elders to remain and wait for Moses and Joshua come back. Aaron and Hur were to stay with the elders. If anyone has a dispute while Moses is gone they are to consult with them. Moses climbs up the mountain, and the cloud covers it. The glory of the Lord settled down on Mount Sinai, and the cloud covered it for six days. On the seventh day the Lord calls to Moses from inside the cloud. To the Israelites at the foot of the mountain, the glory of the Lord appeared at the summit like a consuming fire. Moses disappeared into the cloud as he climbed higher up the mountain. He remained on the mountain forty days and forty nights.
(Note: It rained 40 days and nights with regards to the Flood. It is thought that Moses and the elders talked with the pre-incarnate Christ. This would seem to explain why sometimes men were allowed to see God and at other times seeing God is impossible. This all hinges on the nature of a Triune God. Okay to see a glimpse of God through one of the three but not all three together).
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 And unto Moses He said, `Come up unto Jehovah, thou, and Aaron, Nadab, and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel, and ye have bowed yourselves afar off;'
2 and Moses hath drawn nigh by himself unto Jehovah; and they draw not nigh, and the people go not up with him.
3 And Moses cometh in, and recounteth to the people all the words of Jehovah, and all the judgments, and all the people answer -- one voice, and say, `All the words which Jehovah hath spoken we do.'
4 And Moses writeth all the words of Jehovah, and riseth early in the morning, and buildeth an altar under the hill, and twelve standing pillars for the twelve tribes of Israel;
5 and he sendeth the youths of the sons of Israel, and they cause burnt-offerings to ascend, and sacrifice sacrifices of peace-offerings to Jehovah -- calves.
6 And Moses taketh half of the blood, and putteth in basins, and half of the blood hath he sprinkled on the altar;
7 and he taketh the Book of the Covenant, and proclaimeth in the ears of the people, and they say, `All that which Jehovah hath spoken we do, and obey.'
8 And Moses taketh the blood, and sprinkleth on the people, and saith, `Lo, the blood of the covenant which Jehovah hath made with you, concerning all these things.'
9 And Moses goeth up, Aaron also, Nadab and Abihu, and seventy of the elders of Israel,
10 and they see the God of Israel, and under His feet [is] as the white work of the sapphire, and as the substance of the heavens for purity;
11 and unto those of the sons of Israel who are near He hath not put forth His hand, and they see God, and eat and drink.
12 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Come up unto Me to the mount, and be there, and I give to thee the tables of stone, and the law, and the command, which I have written to direct them.'
13 And Moses riseth -- Joshua his minister also -- and Moses goeth up unto the mount of God;
14 and unto the elders he hath said, `Abide ye for us in this [place], until that we turn back unto you, and lo, Aaron and Hur [are] with you -- he who hath matters doth come nigh unto them.'
15 And Moses goeth up unto the mount, and the cloud covereth the mount;
16 and the honour of Jehovah doth tabernacle on mount Sinai, and the cloud covereth it six days, and He calleth unto Moses on the seventh day from the midst of the cloud.
17 And the appearance of the honour of Jehovah [is] as a consuming fire on the top of the mount, before the eyes of the sons of Israel;
18 and Moses goeth into the midst of the cloud, and goeth up unto the mount, and Moses is on the mount forty days and forty nights.
