Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 33:1-23 The Lord tells Moses to move on out to the land God swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. And an angel will be sent before them to drive out the Canaanites, Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. The Hebrews are to travel up to this land that flows with milk and honey. But God will not travel among them, for they are a stubborn and rebellious people. If He did, He would surely destroy them somewhere along the way. When the people heard these stern words, they went into mourning and stopped wearing their jewelry and fine clothes, as God told them to do through Moses, while God decides what He will do with this people. So when they leave Mount Sinai,the Israelites wear no more jewelry or fine clothes. It is Moses’ practice to take the Tent of Meeting and set it up outside the camp. Everyone who wants to make a request of the Lord goes to the Tent of Meeting outside the camp. Whenever Moses goes out to the Tent of Meeting, all the people get up and stand in opening of their tents. They all watch Moses until he disappears inside. As Moses goes into the tent, the pillar of cloud comes down and hovers at its entrance while the Lord speaks with Moses. When the people see the cloud standing at the entrance of the tent, they stand and bow down in front of their tents. Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord speaks to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses will return to the camp, but the young man who is assisting him, Joshua son of Nun, will remain behind in the Tent of Meeting. One day Moses says to the Lord that God has been telling Moses to take these people up to the Promised Land. But God hasn't told Moses whom God will send to accompany Moses. If it is true that God looks favorably on Moses, then Moses asks God to let him understand God more fully and continue to enjoy His favor. And remember that this nation is His very own. The Lord replies, that He will personally go with Moses, and will give him rest... Then Moses says that if God doesn’t personally go with Israel, not to make them leave this place. Moses wants to understand how will anyone know that God looks favorably on him and on His people—if God doesn’t go with them? For God's presence among them is what sets His people and Moses apart from all other people on the earth. God replies to Moses that He will indeed do what Moses has asked, for He looks favorably on Moses, and He knows Moses by name. Moses responds that God should show Moses His glorious presence. The Lord replied that He will make ALL His goodness pass before Moses, and will call out His own name, Yahweh, before Moses. For God shows mercy and compassion to anyone He chooses. But Moses may not look directly at God's total countenance, for no mortal may see Total GOD united and live. The Lord tells Moses to stand near God on a rock. As God's total glorious presence passes by, God will hide Moses in the crevice of the rock and cover him with His hand until having passed by. Then God will remove His hand and let Moses see God in retrospect. But God's countenance will not be shown.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1And the Lord said unto Moses, Depart, and go up hence, thou and the people which thou hast brought up out of the land of Egypt, unto the land which I sware unto Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, Unto thy seed will I give it:
2 And I will send an angel before thee; and I will drive out the Canaanite, the Amorite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite:
3 Unto a land flowing with milk and honey: for I will not go up in the midst of thee; for thou art a stiffnecked people: lest I consume thee in the way.
4 And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man did put on him his ornaments.
5 For the Lord had said unto Moses, Say unto the children of Israel, Ye are a stiffnecked people: I will come up into the midst of thee in a moment, and consume thee: therefore now put off thy ornaments from thee, that I may know what to do unto thee.
6 And the children of Israel stripped themselves of their ornaments by the mount Horeb.
7 And Moses took the tabernacle, and pitched it without the camp, afar off from the camp, and called it the Tabernacle of the congregation. And it came to pass, that every one which sought the Lord went out unto the tabernacle of the congregation, which was without the camp.
8 And it came to pass, when Moses went out unto the tabernacle, that all the people rose up, and stood every man at his tent door, and looked after Moses, until he was gone into the tabernacle.
9 And it came to pass, as Moses entered into the tabernacle, the cloudy pillar descended, and stood at the door of the tabernacle, and the Lord talked with Moses.
10 And all the people saw the cloudy pillar stand at the tabernacle door: and all the people rose up and worshipped, every man in his tent door.
11 And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle.
12 And Moses said unto the Lord, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.
13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.
14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.
16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.
17 And the Lord said unto Moses, I will do this thing also that thou hast spoken: for thou hast found grace in my sight, and I know thee by name.
18 And he said, I beseech thee, shew me thy glory.
19 And he said, I will make all my goodness pass before thee, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before thee; and will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will shew mercy on whom I will shew mercy.
20 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see me, and live.
21 And the Lord said, Behold, there is a place by me, and thou shalt stand upon a rock:
22 And it shall come to pass, while my glory passeth by, that I will put thee in a clift of the rock, and will cover thee with my hand while I pass by:
23 And I will take away mine hand, and thou shalt see my back parts: but my face shall not be seen.

LittleNipper wrote:The most obvious reason is that Saturday has been the Sabbath for thousands of years. And since Jesus, Himself was here, he declared no error in that. So, Biblical logic must hold to the fact that Saturday is the original Sabbath day. As for the 'end of the age,' please see below:
Mat 24:3-9 (NIV) As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?" Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you. For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many. You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains. Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me."
Mat 24:10-14 (NIV) "At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other, and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people. Because of the increase in wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come."
Oy vey! That "as far as it is translated correctly" thing again...
NIV?
- the King James Version says "and of the end of the world".
The ONLY version in Mormon environment.
- the German Luther (1545) says "und der Welt Ende"
- the Hungarian Karoli : "és a világ végének"
which have the same meaning, end of the world.
And You switch back and forth between NIV and YLT. The NIV itself says in Matt 24:14 "then the end will come". Sounds as the ultimate end - not the end of an era.
As the whole chapter is all about the ultimate end.

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 34:1-35 The Lord tells Moses to chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones. God will write on them the same words that were on the tablets Moses' smashed. In the morning to climb Moses will climb up Mount Sinai and present himself to God on the mountain peak. No one else may come. In fact, no one is to appear anywhere on the mountain --- not even let the flocks or herds are to graze near the mountain. So Moses chisels out two tablets of stone like the first ones and early in the morning he climbs Mount Sinai as the Lord had commanded, and he carried the two stone tablets in his hands. The Lord came down in a cloud and stood there with him; and he called out his own name, Yahweh. The Lord passed in front of Moses, calling out,
“Yahweh! The Lord!
The God of compassion and mercy!
I am slow to anger
and filled with unfailing love and faithfulness.
I lavish unfailing love to a thousand generations.
I forgive iniquity, rebellion, and sin.
But I do not excuse the guilty.
I lay the sins of the parents upon their children and grandchildren;
the entire family is affected—
even children in the third and fourth generations.”
Moses immediately throws himself to the ground and worshiped. And he says to Lord, if it is true that he have found favor with God, Moses asks that God would please travel with the Hebrews. Even though a stubborn and rebellious people, Moses pleads for forgiveness for they iniquity and sins. Moses asks that God claim Israel as His own special possession. The Lord replied that He is making a covenant with Moses in the presence of all the people. God will perform miracles that have never been performed anywhere in all the earth or in any nation. And all the people around you will see the awesome power of the Lord displayed for the Hebrews. Moses must listen carefully to everything God commands today. Later God will go ahead and drive out the Amorites, Canaanites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. The Hebrews must be very careful never to make a treaty with the people who live in the land where they are headed. If they do, they will follow their evil ways and be trapped. The Hebrews must break down all pagan altars, smash their sacred pillars, and cut down any Asherah poles. They must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous concerning his relationship with them. must not make a treaty of any kind with the people living in the land. They lust after their gods, offering sacrifices to them. They will invite the Hebrews to join them in their sacrificial meals, and will go with them, seducing Hebrew sons to commit adultery against God by worshiping other gods. 16 Then you will accept their daughters, who sacrifice to other gods, as wives for your sons. The Hebrews must celebrate the Festival of Unleavened Bread --- seven days the bread eaten must be made without yeast, just as God commanded. They are to celebrate this festival annually at the appointed time in early spring, in the month of Abib, for that is the anniversary of your departure from Egypt. The firstborn of every animal belongs to God, including the firstborn males from Hebrew herds of cattle and their flocks of sheep and goats. A firstborn donkey may be purchased back alive from the Lord by presenting a lamb or young goat in its place. Otherwise, they must break its neck. However, every firstborn son must be purchased back... They have six days each week for ordinary work, but on the seventh day they must stop working, even during seasons of plowing and harvesting. They must celebrate the Festival of Harvest with the first crop of the wheat harvest, and celebrate the Festival of the Final Harvest at the end of the harvest season. God commands that three times each year every man in Israel must appear before the Sovereign, the Lord, the God of Israel. God will drive out the other nations ahead of them and expand the territory, so no one will covet and conquer the land while they appear before the Lord God three times each year. They must not offer the blood of the sacrificial offerings together with any baked goods containing yeast. And none of the meat of the Passover sacrifice may be kept over until the next morning. At harvest time they are to bring the very best of the first harvest to the house of the Lord God. They must not cook a young goat in its mother’s milk. The Lord says to Moses to write down all these instructions, for they represent the terms of the covenant God is establishing with Moses and with Israel. Moses remained on the mountain with the Lord forty days and forty nights, and Moses ate no bread and drank no water [Note: Could this be true of the animals on Noah's Ark]. The Lord writes the terms of the covenant—the Ten Commandments—on the stone tablets. As Moses comes down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he unaware that his face glows because he had spoken to the Lord. So when Aaron and the people of Israel see the glow of Moses’ face, they are afraid to come near him. But Moses calls out to them and asks Aaron and all the leaders of the community to come over, talking with them. Then all the people of Israel approached him, and Moses gave them all the instructions the Lord had given him on Mount Sinai. When Moses finished speaking with them, he covers his face with a veil. Whenever he goes into the Tent of Meeting to speak with the Lord, he removes the veil until he comes out again. Then he gives the people whatever instructions the Lord provided to him. The people of Israel could see the radiant glow of his face. So he would put the veil over his face until he again spoke with the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Hew for thyself two tables of stone like the first, and I have written on the tables the words which were on the first tables which thou hast broken;
2 and be prepared at morning, and thou hast come up in the morning unto mount Sinai, and hast stood before Me there, on the top of the mount,
3 and no man cometh up with thee, and also no man is seen in all the mount, also the flock and the herd do not feed over-against that mount.'
4 And he heweth two tables of stone like the first, and Moses riseth early in the morning, and goeth up unto mount Sinai, as Jehovah commanded him, and he taketh in his hand two tables of stone.
5 And Jehovah cometh down in a cloud, and stationeth Himself with him there, and calleth in the Name of Jehovah,
6 and Jehovah passeth over before his face, and calleth: `Jehovah, Jehovah God, merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in kindness and truth,
7 keeping kindness for thousands, taking away iniquity, and transgression, and sin, and not entirely acquitting, charging iniquity of fathers on children, and on children's children, on a third [generation], and on a fourth.'
8 And Moses hasteth, and boweth to the earth, and doth obeisance,
9 and saith, `If, I pray Thee, I have found grace in Thine eyes, O my Lord, let my Lord, I pray Thee, go in our midst (for it [is] a stiff-necked people), and thou hast forgiven our iniquity and our sin, and hast inherited us.'
10 And He saith, `Lo, I am making a covenant: before all thy people I do wonders, which have not been done in all the earth, or in any nation, and all the people in whose midst thou [art] have seen the work of Jehovah, for it [is] fearful that which I am doing with thee.
11 `Observe for thyself that which I am commanding thee to-day: lo, I am casting out from before thee the Amorite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite;
12 take heed to thyself, lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land into which thou art going, lest it become a snare in thy midst;
13 for their altars ye break down, and their standing pillars ye shiver, and its shrines ye cut down;
14 for ye do not bow yourselves to another god -- for Jehovah, whose name [is] Zealous, is a zealous God.
15 `Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitant of the land, and they have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have sacrificed to their gods, and [one] hath called to thee, and thou hast eaten of his sacrifice,
16 and thou hast taken of their daughters to thy sons, and their daughters have gone a-whoring after their gods, and have caused thy sons to go a-whoring after their gods;
17 a molten god thou dost not make to thyself.
18 `The feast of unleavened things thou dost keep; seven days thou dost eat unleavened things, as I have commanded thee, at an appointed time, the month of Abib: for in the month of Abib thou didst come out from Egypt.
19 `All opening a womb [are] Mine, and every firstling of thy cattle born a male, ox or sheep;
20 and the firstling of an ass thou dost ransom with a lamb; and if thou dost not ransom, then thou hast beheaded it; every first-born of thy sons thou dost ransom, and they do not appear before Me empty.
21 `Six days thou dost work, and on the seventh day thou dost rest; in ploughing-time and in harvest thou dost rest.
22 `And a feast of weeks thou dost observe for thyself; first-fruits of wheat-harvest; and the feast of in-gathering, at the revolution of the year.
23 `Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, God of Israel;
24 for I dispossess nations from before thee, and have enlarged thy border, and no man doth desire thy land in thy going up to appear before Jehovah thy God three times in a year.
25 `Thou dost not slaughter with a fermented thing the blood of My sacrifice; and the sacrifice of the feast of the passover doth not remain till morning:
26 the first of the first-fruits of the land thou dost bring into the house of Jehovah thy God; thou dost not boil a kid in its mother's milk.'
27 And Jehovah saith unto Moses, `Write for thyself these words, for, according to the tenor of these words I have made with thee a covenant, and with Israel.'
28 And he is there with Jehovah forty days and forty nights; bread he hath not eaten, and water he hath not drunk; and he writeth on the tables the matters of the covenant -- the ten matters.
29 And it cometh to pass, when Moses is coming down from mount Sinai (and the two tables of the testimony [are] in the hand of Moses in his coming down from the mount), that Moses hath not known that the skin of his face hath shone in His speaking with him,
30 and Aaron seeth -- all the sons of Israel also -- Moses, and lo, the skin of his face hath shone, and they are afraid of coming nigh unto him.
31 And Moses calleth unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the company return unto him, and Moses speaketh unto them;
32 and afterwards have all the sons of Israel come nigh, and he chargeth them with all that Jehovah hath spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33 And Moses finisheth speaking with them, and putteth on his face a vail;
34 and in the going in of Moses before Jehovah to speak with Him, he turneth aside the vail until his coming out; and he hath come out and hath spoken unto the sons of Israel that which he is commanded;
35 and the sons of Israel have seen the face of Moses that the skin of the face of Moses hath shone, and Moses hath put back the vail on his face until his going in to speak with Him.

23 `Three times in a year do all thy males appear before the Lord Jehovah, God of Israel;
31 And Moses calleth unto them, and Aaron and all the princes in the company return unto him, and Moses speaketh unto them;
32 and afterwards have all the sons of Israel come nigh, and he chargeth them with all that Jehovah hath spoken with him in mount Sinai.
33 And Moses finisheth speaking with them, and putteth on his face a vail;
34 and in the going in of Moses before Jehovah to speak with Him, he turneth aside the vail until his coming out; and he hath come out and hath spoken unto the sons of Israel that which he is commanded;
35 and the sons of Israel have seen the face of Moses that the skin of the face of Moses hath shone, and Moses hath put back the vail on his face until his going in to speak with Him.

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 35:1-35 Moses gathers all the people of Israel and says that these are the things that the Lord has told the Hebrews to do. Work may be done for six days. But the seventh day will be a holy day for Day of Rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on this day will be executed. They are not even to build a fire in any of their abodes on the Day of Rest. They are to collect a gift to the Lord. Whoever has a willing heart, he is to bring the Lord’s gift: gold, silver and brass, blue, purple and red cloth, fine linen, cloth made from goat hair, rams’ skins made red, badgers’ skins and acacia wood, lamp oil, spices for the oil for holy use and for the sweet-smelling perfume, 9 onyx stones and stones to be set for the linen vest and the breast-piece. Every able workman among the Israelites is to make all that the Lord has said to make: the meeting tent, its tent and its covering, its hooks, its wood pieces, its cross-pieces, its pillars and their bases, the special box of the agreement and the long pieces of wood for carrying it, the mercy-seat, the curtain to hang in front of it, the table and the long pieces of wood for carrying it, all its objects, and the holy bread to set before the Lord, the lamp-stand for the light, and its lamps and oil for the light, the altar of special perfume and the long pieces of wood for carrying it, the oil for holy use, the sweet-smelling perfume, and the curtain for the door of the meeting tent, the altar of burnt gifts with its brass net and long pieces of wood for carrying it, all its objects, the washing pot and its base, the curtains of the open space, its pillars and its bases, and the curtain for the gate of the open space, the nails of the meeting tent and the nails of the open space and their ropes, the well-made clothing for working in the holy place, the holy clothing for Aaron the religious leader, and the clothing for his sons as they work as religious leaders.
All the people of Israel went away from Moses. And every one whose heart or spirit moves him brings the Lord’s gift to be used for the meeting tent, for all its work, and for the holy clothing. All the men and women who want to give bring objects of gold that are worn on their clothing, ears, fingers and arms. Every man gives a gift of gold to the Lord. Every one who has blue, purple and red cloth, fine linen, cloth made from goats’ hair, rams’ skins made red, and badgers’ skins, brings them. Every one who can provide a gift of silver or brass brings it as a gift to the Lord. Every one who has acacia wood to be used for the work, brings it. All the able women make cloth with their hands. They bring blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen they had made. All the able women so moved make cloth from goat hair. The leaders bring onyx stones and the stones to be set for the linen vest and the breast-piece, spice and the oil for the light, oil for holy use, and for the sweet-smelling incense. Moses informs the people of Israel, that the Lord is calling by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the family of Judah, having filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, understanding, much learning, and in all work. This is so he can make plans for working in gold, silver and brass, cut stones to be set, cut wood, and do good work of every kind. The Lord has given him the power to teach also, both he and Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the family of Dan. God makes them able to do every work: engraving in stone, gold, silver and brass, planning, sewing beautiful work on blue, purple and red cloth and fine linen, making cloth, and all kinds of work done by able workmen.

3 ye do not burn a fire in any of your dwellings on the sabbath-day.'
4 And Moses speaketh unto all the company of the sons of Israel, saying, `This [is] the thing which Jehovah hath commanded, saying,
5 Take ye from among you a heave-offering to Jehovah; every one whose heart [is] willing doth bring it, -- the heave-offering of Jehovah, -- gold, and silver, and brass,
6 and blue, and purple, and scarlet, and linen, and goats' [hair],
7 and rams' skins made red, and badgers' skins, and shittim wood,
8 and oil for the light, and spices for the anointing oil, and for the spice perfume,

16 `The altar of burnt-offering and the brazen grate which it hath, its staves, and all its vessels, the laver and its base,
17 `The hangings of the court, its pillars, and their sockets, and the covering of the gate of the court,
18 `The pins of the tabernacle, and the pins of the court, and their cords,

22 And they come in -- the men with the women -- every willing-hearted one -- they have brought in nose-ring, and ear-ring, and seal-ring, and necklace, all golden goods, even every one who hath waved a wave-offering of gold to Jehovah.

24 every one lifting up a heave-offering of silver and brass have brought in the heave-offering of Jehovah; and every one with whom hath been found shittim wood for any work of the service brought [it] in.
25 And every wise-hearted woman hath spun with her hands, and they bring in yarn, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the linen;
26 and all the women whose heart hath lifted them up in wisdom, have spun the goats' [hair].

28 and the spices, and the oil for the light, and for the anointing oil, and for the spice perfume;
29 every man and woman (whom their heart hath made willing to bring in for all the work which Jehovah commanded to be done by the hand of Moses) [of] the sons of Israel brought in a willing-offering to Jehovah.

32 even to devise devices to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass,
33 and in graving of stones for settings, and in graving of wood to work in any work of design.
34 `And to direct He hath put in his heart, he and Aholiab, son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan;
35 He hath filled them with wisdom of heart to do every work, of engraver, and designer, and embroiderer (in blue, and in purple, in scarlet, and in linen), and weaver, who do any work, and of designers of designs.

When did He do that?

Re: Bible verse by verse
Exodus 36:1-38 The Lord has gifted Bezalel, Oholiab, and the other skilled craftsmen with wisdom and ability to perform any task involved in building the sanctuary. They will construct and furnish the Tabernacle, just as the Lord desires. Moses calls Bezalel and Oholiab and all the others who are specially gifted by the Lord and are eager to get to work. Moses gives them the materials donated by the people of Israel as sacred offerings for the completion of the sanctuary. Plus the people continue to bring additional gifts every morning. The craftsmen who are working on the sanctuary quit work and go to Moses and reporting that the people are giving more than enough materials to complete the job the Lord has commanded... So Moses gives the command, and says not to bring any more gifts for the sanctuary. There is enough. So the people stop bringing their sacred offerings. The contributions being more than enough to finish the project. The skilled craftsmen make ten curtains of finely woven linen for the Tabernacle. Bezalel decorates the curtains with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with skillfully embroiders cherubim. All ten curtains are exactly the same size—42 feet long and 6 feet wide. Five of these curtains are joined together to create one long curtain, and the other five are joined to create a second one. He makes fifty loops of blue yarn and puts them along the edge of the last curtain in each set. The fifty loops along the edge of one curtain match the fifty loops along the edge of the other curtain. Then he makes fifty gold clasps and fastens the long curtains together with the clasps. This causes the Tabernacle to be made of one continuous piece. He made eleven curtains of goat-hair cloth to serve as a tent covering for the Tabernacle, all exactly the same size—45 feet long and 6 feet wide. Bezalel joins five of these curtains together to make one long curtain, and the other six were joined to make a second one. He also maes fifty loops for the edge of each large curtain. He makes fifty bronze clasps to fasten the long curtains together. In this way, the tent covering is designed as one continuous piece. He completes the tent covering with a layer of tanned ram skins and a layer of fine goatskin leather. For the support of the Tabernacle, Bezalel constructs frames of acacia wood, each 15 feet high and 27 inches wide, with two pegs under each frame. All the frames are identical. He makea twenty of these frames to support the curtains on the south side of the Tabernacle with forty silver bases—two bases under each frame, with the pegs fitting securely into the bases. The same holds true for the north side of the Tabernacle. He makes six frames for the rear—the west side of the Tabernacle—along with two additional frames to reinforce the rear corners of the Tabernacle. These corner frames match at the bottom and firmly attach at the top with a single ring, forming a single corner unit. Both of these corner units are made the same way. So there are eight frames at the rear of the Tabernacle, set in sixteen silver bases—two bases under each frame. Then he constructs crossbars of acacia wood to link the frames, five crossbars for the north side of the Tabernacle and five for the south side. He also makes five crossbars for the rear of the Tabernacle, which faced west. He makes the middle crossbar to attach halfway up the frames; it ran all the way from one end of the Tabernacle to the other. He overlaid the frames with gold and made gold rings to hold the crossbars, and overlaying the crossbars with gold as well. The inside of the Tabernacle, Bezalel made a special curtain of finely woven linen. He decorated it with blue, purple, and scarlet thread and with skillfully embroidered cherubim. For the curtain, he makes four posts of acacia wood and four gold hooks. He covers the posts with gold and sets them in four silver bases. Then he makes another curtain for the entrance to the sacred tent. He makes it of finely woven linen and embroiders it with exquisite designs using blue, purple, and scarlet thread. This curtain is hung on gold hooks attached to five posts. The posts with their decorated tops and hooks are covered with gold, and the five bases are cast from bronze.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 And Bezaleel, and Aholiab, and every wise-hearted man, in whom Jehovah hath given wisdom and understanding to know to do every work of the service of the sanctuary, have done according to all that Jehovah commanded.
2 And Moses calleth unto Bezaleel, and unto Aholiab, and unto every wise-hearted man in whose heart Jehovah hath given wisdom, every one whom his heart lifted up, to come near unto the work to do it.
3 And they take from before Moses all the heave-offering which the sons of Israel have brought in for the work of the service of the sanctuary to do it; and still they have brought in unto him a willing-offering morning by morning.
4 And all the wise men, who are doing all the work of the sanctuary, come each from his work which they are doing,
5 and speak unto Moses, saying, `The people are multiplying to bring in more than sufficient for the service of the work which Jehovah commanded to make.'
6 And Moses commandeth, and they cause a voice to pass over through the camp, saying, `Let not man or woman make any more work for the heave-offering of the sanctuary;' and the people are restrained from bringing,
7 and the work hath been sufficient for them, for all the work, to do it, and to leave.
8 And all the wise-hearted ones among the doers of the work make the tabernacle; ten curtains of twined linen, and blue, and purple, and scarlet, [with] cherubs, work of a designer, he hath made them.
9 The length of the one curtain [is] eight and twenty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain four by the cubit; one measure [is] to all the curtains.
10 And he joineth the five curtains one unto another, and the [other] five curtains he hath joined one unto another;
11 and he maketh loops of blue on the edge of the one curtain, at the end, in the joining; so he hath made in the edge of the outmost curtain, in the joining of the second;
12 fifty loops he hath made in the one curtain, and fifty loops hath he made in the end of the curtain which [is] in the joining of the second; the loops are taking hold one on another.
13 And he maketh fifty hooks of gold, and joineth the curtains one unto another by the hooks, and the tabernacle is one.
14 And he maketh curtains of goats' [hair] for a tent over the tabernacle; eleven curtains he hath made them;
15 the length of the one curtain [is] thirty by the cubit, and the breadth of the one curtain [is] four cubits; one measure [is] to the eleven curtains;
16 and he joineth the five curtains apart, and the six curtains apart.
17 And he maketh fifty loops on the outer edge of the curtain, in the joining; and fifty loops he hath made on the edge of the curtain which is joining the second;
18 and he maketh fifty hooks of brass to join the tent -- to be one;
19 and he maketh a covering for the tent of rams' skins made red, and a covering of badgers' skins above.
20 And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up;
21 ten cubits [is] the length of the [one] board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of the [one] board;
22 two handles [are] to the one board, joined one unto another; so he hath made for all the boards of the tabernacle.
23 And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward;
24 and forty sockets of silver he hath made under the twenty boards, two sockets under the one board for its two handles, and two sockets under the other board for its two handles.
25 And for the second side of the tabernacle, for the north side, he hath made twenty boards,
26 and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board;
27 and for the sides of the tabernacle, westward, hath he made six boards;
28 and two boards hath he made for the corners of the tabernacle, in the two sides;
29 and they have been twins below, and together they are twins at its head, at the one ring; so he hath done to both of them at the two corners;
30 and there have been eight boards; and their sockets of silver [are] sixteen sockets, two sockets under the one board.
31 And he maketh bars of shittim wood, five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32 and five bars for the boards of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle, for the sides westward;
33 and he maketh the middle bar to enter into the midst of the boards from end to end;
34 and the boards he hath overlaid with gold, and their rings he hath made of gold, places for bars, and he overlayeth the bars with gold.
35 And he maketh the vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of a designer he hath made it, [with] cherubs;
36 and he maketh for it four pillars of shittim [wood], and overlayeth them with gold; their pegs [are] of gold; and he casteth for them four sockets of silver.
37 And he maketh a covering for the opening of the tent, of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of an embroiderer,
38 also its five pillars, and their pegs; and he overlaid their tops and their fillets [with] gold, and their five sockets [are] brass.

17 And he maketh fifty loops on the outer edge of the curtain, in the joining; and fifty loops he hath made on the edge of the curtain which is joining the second;
18 and he maketh fifty hooks of brass to join the tent -- to be one;
19 and he maketh a covering for the tent of rams' skins made red, and a covering of badgers' skins above.
20 And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle of shittim wood, standing up;
21 ten cubits [is] the length of the [one] board, and a cubit and a half the breadth of the [one] board;
22 two handles [are] to the one board, joined one unto another; so he hath made for all the boards of the tabernacle.
23 And he maketh the boards for the tabernacle; twenty boards for the south side southward;
24 and forty sockets of silver he hath made under the twenty boards, two sockets under the one board for its two handles, and two sockets under the other board for its two handles.
25 And for the second side of the tabernacle, for the north side, he hath made twenty boards,
26 and their forty sockets of silver, two sockets under the one board, and two sockets under the other board;
27 and for the sides of the tabernacle, westward, hath he made six boards;
28 and two boards hath he made for the corners of the tabernacle, in the two sides;
29 and they have been twins below, and together they are twins at its head, at the one ring; so he hath done to both of them at the two corners;
30 and there have been eight boards; and their sockets of silver [are] sixteen sockets, two sockets under the one board.
31 And he maketh bars of shittim wood, five for the boards of the one side of the tabernacle,
32 and five bars for the boards of the second side of the tabernacle, and five bars for the boards of the tabernacle, for the sides westward;
33 and he maketh the middle bar to enter into the midst of the boards from end to end;
34 and the boards he hath overlaid with gold, and their rings he hath made of gold, places for bars, and he overlayeth the bars with gold.
35 And he maketh the vail of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and twined linen, work of a designer he hath made it, [with] cherubs;
