Save your apologies for the people of Fukushima, 20,000 of whom died as a result of the earthquake and subsequent tsunami on 11 March, 2011. Are you honestly suggesting they're somehow responsible for what happened to them?

And what about the 230,000 who died in Thailand, Sri Lanka, and Indonesia on 27 December, 2004 due to an even larger earthquake and tsunami? Are they also somehow responsible for what happened to them?

Job 15:1-35 Eliphaz the Temanite answered:
"Would a wise man give us all this foolish talk and sound like a windbag? It isn’t right to speak foolishly. What good do such words bring? Don't you no fear of God or reverence him? Your sins are telling your mouth what to say! Your words are founded in deception, Why should I condemn you when your own mouth does!

Are you the wisest man living? Were you born before the hills formed? Have you heard secret cessions with God --- called into his counsel chamber? Do you have a monopoly on wisdom? What is it you know more than we do? What do you understand that we don't? On our behalf are elderly men a lot older than your father! Is God’s comfort to you rare? Is his gentleness rough?

What are you are doing, getting carried away by your anger and haughty eyes? You turn against God and say all these evil things against him. What man on earth can be as pure and righteous as you claim for yourself? God doesn’t trust the angels! Even the heavens can’t be absolutely pure compared with him! How much less someone like you, who is corrupt and sinful, soaking up sin like water!

Listen to my reasoning from my own experience, confirmed by the experience of wise men who have been told this same thing from their fathers—our ancestors to whom alone the land was given—and they have passed this wisdom to us:

A wicked man is always in trouble throughout his life. He is surrounded by terrors, and if there are good times, they will soon end. He dares not go out into the night lest he be murdered. He wanders begging for food. He lives in fear and anguish. His enemies overcome him as a king defeats foes. Armed with his armored shield, he clenches his fist against God, defying God, assaulting Him.

The wicked man is fat and rich, and resides in conquered devastated cities after killing off their citizens. He can not continue to be rich, or to extend his possessions. Death shall overtake him forever; the breath of God shall destroy him; flames will devour all he owned.

Let him no longer trust in foolish riches; let him no longer deceive himself, for the money he trusts in will be his only reward. Before he dies, all this futility will become evident. For all he counted on will disappear and fall to the ground like a withered grape. How little will come of his hopes! For the godless are empty: they can produce nothing good. God’s fire consumes them with all they own. The only thing they can concoct is sin, and their hearts give birth only to lies.”

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

1 And Eliphaz the Temanite answereth and saith: --

2 Doth a wise man answer [with] vain knowledge? And fill [with] an east wind his belly?

3 To reason with a word not useful? And speeches -- no profit in them?

4 Yea, thou dost make reverence void, And dost diminish meditation before God.

5 For thy mouth teacheth thine iniquity, And thou chooseth the tongue of the subtile.

6 Thy mouth declareth thee wicked, and not I, And thy lips testify against thee.

7 The first man art thou born? And before the heights wast thou formed?

8 Of the secret counsel of God dost thou hear? And withdrawest thou unto thee wisdom?

9 What hast thou known, and we know not? Understandest thou -- and it is not with us?

10 Both the gray-headed And the very aged [are] among us -- Greater than thy father [in] days.

11 Too few for thee are the comforts of God? And a gentle word [is] with thee,

12 What -- doth thine heart take thee away? And what -- are thine eyes high?

13 For thou turnest against God thy spirit? And hast brought out words from thy mouth:

14 What [is] man that he is pure, And that he is righteous, one born of woman?

15 Lo, in His holy ones He putteth no credence, And the heavens have not been pure in His eyes.

16 Also -- surely abominable and filthy Is man drinking as water perverseness.

17 I shew thee -- hearken to me -- And this I have seen and declare:

18 Which the wise declare -- And have not hid -- from their fathers.

19 To them alone was the land given, And a stranger passed not over into their midst:

20 `All days of the wicked he is paining himself, And few years have been laid up for the terrible one.

21 A fearful voice [is] in his ears, In peace doth a destroyer come to him.

22 He believeth not to return from darkness, And watched [is] he for the sword.

23 He is wandering for bread -- `Where [is] it?' He hath known that ready at his hand Is a day of darkness.

24 Terrify him do adversity and distress, They prevail over him As a king ready for a boaster.

25 For he stretched out against God his hand, And against the Mighty he maketh himself mighty.

26 He runneth unto Him with a neck, With thick bosses of his shields.

27 For he hath covered his face with his fat, And maketh vigour over [his] confidence.

28 And he inhabiteth cities cut off, houses not dwelt in, That have been ready to become heaps.

29 He is not rich, nor doth his wealth rise, Nor doth he stretch out on earth their continuance.

30 He turneth not aside from darkness, His tender branch doth a flame dry up, And he turneth aside at the breath of His mouth!

31 Let him not put credence in vanity, He hath been deceived, For vanity is his recompence.

32 Not in his day is it completed, And his bending branch is not green.

33 He shaketh off as a vine his unripe fruit, And casteth off as an olive his blossom.

34 For the company of the profane [is] gloomy, And fire hath consumed tents of bribery.

35 To conceive misery, and to bear iniquity, Even their heart doth prepare deceit.

Oh, so when you're unable to answer a question, you ignore it and respond with a non sequitur. Nipper, why are you so scared to admit it when you don't know an answer?

According to your Bible, the eschaton was supposed to have happened shortly after the Resurrection. So why is the end of the world two thousand years late? Is Yahweh asleep up there?

LittleNipper wrote:It will not get better. It will get worse according to GOD's Word.
Nope--the world today is a much better place than it was two thousand years ago.

LittleNipper wrote:http://signsofthelastdays.com/archives/tag/earthquakes
There are ALWAYSearthquakes in diverse places. It's called geology. Look it up.

LittleNipper wrote:Job is now heaven.
Prove it.

LittleNipper wrote:Where will you spend eternity?
I don't know and neither do you.

Here's another question you're ignoring: Why does the Bible Belt consume more porn--especially gay porn--than the rest of the country?

Surprise, surprise, there is no divine mandate for the Church to discuss and portray its history accurately.

God? No such entity.

Satan? As he (male? female? neutral? hermaphrodite? khm...) was created by the nonexisting being mentioned above, he (she/it) doesn't exist twofold.

Job? Maybe there existed some people called this; anyway, it was a common name. Maybe some of them were unlucky.
By the fairy tales called scripture, we have no identity cards of that Jobs, Balaams, Jonahs (to mention only the Little-Red-Riding-Hood-style characters).
- Whenever a poet or preacher, chief or wizard spouts gibberish, the human race spends centuries deciphering the message. - Umberto Eco
- To assert that the earth revolves around the sun is as erroneous as to claim that Jesus was not born of a virgin. - Cardinal Bellarmine at the trial of Galilei

Words are cheap. Prove it! Prove God does not exist. I exist and no scientist can prove how life came to be without God. So We are proof that there is a GOD --- as without God there can be no life. Prove that life can come to exist without GOD.

Can you create a biological living organism from an explosion? I've heard no such praise of man achieving godhood on the TV, newspapers, or on the Internet.

You have a poor vocabulary.

Please read some other fairy tales than your Bible --- then echo them here, on Celestial Forum. Grimm's, Andersen's, Pinocchio, The Emperor's New Clothes (special case for Your obsession...)

Driven to despair by his fruitless attempts to understand the Universe, the sage Devadasa finally announced in exasperation ALL STATEMENTS THAT CONTAIN THE WORD GOD ARE FALSE.
Instantly, his least-favourite disciple Somasiri replied "The sentence I am now speaking contains the word God. I fail to see, Oh Noble Master, how that simple statement can be false."
Devadasa considered the matter for several Poyas. Then he answered, this time with apparent satisfaction: ONLY STATEMENTS THAT DO NOT CONTAIN THE WORD GOD CAN BE TRUE.
After a pause barely sufficient for a starving mongoose to swallow a millet seed, Somasiri replied: "If this statement applies to itself; Oh Venerable One, it cannot be true, because it contains the word God. But if it is not true -"
At this point, Devadasa broke his begging-bowl upon Somasiri's head, and should therefore be honoured as the true founder of Zen.

Silly people have not excuses. They don't know where we came from. They don't why we are here. They don't know where we are headed. But it is enough for them that no one else should know more than they do. And they waste their time living trying to prove to others what they themselves don't care to know.

Yes, words are cheap. That's why I asked you to "prove it" when you inferred the people of Sendai, Japan were to blame when Yahweh wiped out 20,000 of them with an earthquake and a tsunami.

I'm still waiting, Nipper.

I'm also still waiting for you to explain why the Bible Belt consumes more porn (including more gay porn) than the rest of the country.

LittleNipper wrote:Prove God does not exist.
We've already been over this. In the absence of proof, the existence of god is essentially unknowable. When people say "I know God is real" they're merely conflating belief with knowledge.

LittleNipper wrote:I exist and no scientist can prove how life came to be without God.
See above. And anyway, the purpose of science is not to prove or disprove the existence of the Biblical Yahweh.

LittleNipper wrote:So We are proof that there is a GOD --- as without God there can be no life.
You're sounding like you really don't understand what "proof" means.

The Book of Ecclesiastes has been called the atheist's handbook. We will get to it eventually. If you don't wish to believe in God, that is your own business. However, please don't expect anyone to accept without question that such a "rationalization" is founded on a solid rock of absolutes. The wisest mortal who ever was found that living without God is vanity.

Job 16:1-22
Job defends himself:

“I’ve heard it all. What a pack of miserable comforters!
Is there no end to such windbag speeches? What’s motivating you go on and on like this?

If we swapped places, I could talk just like you and wag my noggin.

I could put together a terrific sermon and really let you have it.
I’d never do that. I’d console --- remaining silent to make things better, not bitter!

When I speak up, I don't feel relief; if I say nothing, that doesn’t help either.
I feel worn down. God, you have ruined me totally—me and my family!
I've shriveled like a dried prune, displaying you’re against me.

My unattractive face is a mute witness to your treatment of me.
Your anger pulls at me, your teeth rip me apart, your eyes burn holes through me—God, my enemy!

People see me and gasp. Contemptuous, they push me around and gang up on me.

God just lets it happen, letting the wicked do what they will to me.
I was contentedly minding my business when God beat me up.

God grabbed my neck and threw me around. He set me up as a target, then gathered archers to shoot at me.
Merciless, they shot me full of arrows; bitter bile poured from my gut to the ground. He burst in on me, one attack after another, charging me like some might beast.

I constructed a shroud for myself, and rolled my defense in the dust.
I lay facedown in the dirt.
Now my face is blotched with weeping; with dark shadows under my eyes,
Though I’ve never hurt anyone and my prayers are sincere!

Earth, do not absorb my blood; may my cry never be silenced!

Right now my advocate exists in heaven; on high.

My intercessor is my friend as my eyes are saddened towards God;

On behalf of a man he pleads with God as one begs for a friend.
In a few years will I take the path of no return.

Young's Literal Translation (YLT)

1 And Job answereth and saith: --

2 I have heard many such things, Miserable comforters [are] ye all.

3 Is there an end to words of wind? Or what doth embolden thee that thou answerest?

4 I also, like you, might speak, If your soul were in my soul's stead. I might join against you with words, And nod at you with my head.

5 I might harden you with my mouth, And the moving of my lips might be sparing.

6 If I speak, my pain is not restrained, And I cease -- what goeth from me?

7 Only, now, it hath wearied me; Thou hast desolated all my company,

8 And Thou dost loathe me, For a witness it hath been, And rise up against me doth my failure, In my face it testifieth.

9 His anger hath torn, and he hateth me, He hath gnashed at me with his teeth, My adversary sharpeneth his eyes for me.

10 They have gaped on me with their mouth, In reproach they have smitten my cheeks, Together against me they set themselves.

11 God shutteth me up unto the perverse, And to the hands of the wicked turneth me over.

12 At ease I have been, and he breaketh me, And he hath laid hold on my neck, And he breaketh me in pieces, And he raiseth me to him for a mark.

13 Go round against me do his archers. He splitteth my reins, and spareth not, He poureth out to the earth my gall.

14 He breaketh me -- breach upon breach, He runneth upon me as a mighty one.

15 Sackcloth I have sewed on my skin, And have rolled in the dust my horn.

16 My face is foul with weeping, And on mine eyelids [is] death-shade.

17 Not for violence in my hands, And my prayer [is] pure.

18 O earth, do not thou cover my blood! And let there not be a place for my cry.

19 Also, now, lo, in the heavens [is] my witness, And my testifier in the high places.

20 My interpreter [is] my friend, Unto God hath mine eye dropped:

21 And he reasoneth for a man with God, And a son of man for his friend.

22 When a few years do come, Then a path I return not do I go.
