Psalm 106:1-48
Praise the Lord! Thank the Lord as He is good. His love is eternal.
None know all the fantastic things the Lord has done. None can praise Him enough.
Happy are those people who do the right thing all the time.
Lord, remember me while You are kind to your chosen. Help me when You save them.
Let me witness the good you do for your chosen people. Let me be happy along with your happy nation. Let me join Your own people in praising You.
We have sinned, been wrong, and done evil like our ancestors.
Our ancestors in Egypt gleaned nothing from your miracles.They did not remember your kindnesses. So they turned against You at the Red Sea.
However, the Lord saved them for His own sake, demonstrating His power.
He reprimanded the Red Sea, and it dried up. He led them through the deep sea as over a desert.
He saved them from their hateful enemies.
And the water returned to swamp their enemies. Not one escaped.
Then the people believed what the Lord said, singing His praises.
But they quickly forgot what He did. They did not wait for His advice.
They were greedy for food in the desert. And tested God there.
So He provided what they wanted. But also sent a terrible disease among them.
The people in the camp became jealous of Moses and Aaron (the Lord's holy priest).
Then the ground opened up and swallowed Dathan --- closing over Abiram’s group.
And a fire burst among their followers ---- consuming the wicked people.
The people molded a gold calf at Mount Sinai and worshiped this metal statue.
They exchanged their glorious God for a statue of a bull (a mere grass eater).
They forgot the God who saved them, doing great things in Egypt.
He did miracles in Egypt --- amazing things by the Red Sea.
So God said he considered destroying them. But Moses, his chosen one, stood between --- stopping God’s anger from destroying them.
Then they refused to go into the beautiful land of Canaan. They did not believe God's promise.
They grumbled in their tents and did not obey the Lord.
So He swore that they would die in the desert.
He said their children would be killed by other nations and that they would be scattered among the countries.
They joined in worshiping Baal at Peor. They ate meat sacrificed to lifeless statuary.
They made the Lord angry by what they did --- resulting in many people becoming sick with a terrible disease.
But Phinehas prayed to the Lord, and the disease ended.
The Lord will remember that Phinehas did what was right. And God will be reminded from now on.
The people made the Lord angry at Meribah. And Moses got into trouble because of them.
The people turned against the Spirit of God. So Moses spoke without God's guidance.
The people did not destroy the other nations as the Lord had commanded.
Instead, they intermarried with the other nations --- learning their customs.
They worshiped other nations’ idols and they were manipulated through this.
They even killed their sons and daughters as sacrifices to demons.
They killed innocent people --- even their own sons and daughters as sacrifices to Canaan idols. So the land was corrupted with their blood.
The people became unholy by their sins. They were unfaithful to God in their deeds.
So the Lord became angry with his people. He hated these children.
He let other nations defeat them and rule them.
Their enemies were cruel to them, and kept them under their thumb.
The Lord saved his people over and over. But they continued to turn against Him --- becoming more wicked.
But God saw their misery--- hearing their lament.
He remembered His agreement to them. And He felt sorry for them because of His love.
He caused them to be pitied by their captors.
Lord God, save us. Bring us out from among the nations. Then we will thank You and gladly praise you.
Praise the Lord, God of Israel. He always existed and always will. Let all the people say, “So be it”

1 Praise ye Jah, give thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age, [is] His kindness.
2 Who doth utter the mighty acts of Jehovah? Soundeth all His praise?
3 O the happiness of those keeping judgment, Doing righteousness at all times.
4 Remember me, O Jehovah, With the favour of Thy people, Look after me in Thy salvation.
5 To look on the good of Thy chosen ones, To rejoice in the joy of Thy nation, To boast myself with Thine inheritance.

14 And they lust greatly in a wilderness, And try God in a desert.
15 And He giveth to them their request, And sendeth leanness into their soul.

17 Earth openeth, and swalloweth up Dathan, And covereth over the company of Abiram.

26 And He lifteth up His hand to them, To cause them to fall in a wilderness,
27 And to cause their seed to fall among nations, And to scatter them through lands.
28 And they are coupled to Baal-Peor, And eat the sacrifices of the dead,
29 And they provoke to anger by their actions, And a plague breaketh forth upon them,
30 And Phinehas standeth, and executeth judgment, And the plague is restrained,

Oh, give thanks unto the Lord because of His goodness, for His mercy lasts an eternity!
Let those saved by the Lord cry out,--- those He redeemed from the hand of the enemy, and pulled them from the lands east, west, north and the south.
They wandered in the wilderness on a empty trail --- finding no city to sojourn.
Hungry and thirsty, their soul were in despair.
They cried unto the Lord in their trouble, and He delivered them out of such distress.
He led them on an obvious path, that they might find a city to live in.
Encourage them to praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the people!
He satisfies a desiring soul and fills the hungry soul with goodness.
Some sit without light and in the shadow of death, being captive with affliction and chains, because they distorted God's Word and rejected the influences of the Most High.
Therefore He humbled their hearts with hard labor; they fell down, and there was none to help.
They cried to the Lord in their suffering, and He delivered them from their distress.
He brought them out of darkness and the shadow of death and broke their bonds.
Encourage them to praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the people!
For He has broken gates of bronze and cut bars of iron in half.
Some were fools because of their sins, and because of their iniquities they are afflicted.
They loathed all manner of food, and they drew near death's door.
Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from such distress.
He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from destruction.
Encourage them to praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the people!
And let them offer thanksgiving sacrifices and announce His works with praise.
Some went down to the sea in ships, to do business in the wide ocean; they saw the works of the Lord and His wonders in that deep water.
For He commands and raises the gale, which encourages the sea waves.
The sailors rose up towards the sky, they came down towards the depths; their determination faltered because of the terrible danger.
They were tossed back and forth --- staggering like drunks, and were completely confounded.
Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and He saved them from distress.
He calmed the storm, and the sea waves were still.
They were happy with the quiet waters, so He brought them to their desired harbor.
Let them praise the Lord for His goodness and for His wonderful works to the people!
Let them exalt Him in the congregation of the people, and praise Him among the elders gathered.
He turns rivers into a desert, springs into dry dirt, a fruitful land into salty wasteland, because of wicked people living there.
He turns a wilderness into pools of water, a parched ground into springs of water.
There He makes the hungry dwell, and they prepare a city to live in.
They sow fields and plant vineyards, and yield a plentiful harvest.
He blesses them, so that the population grows, and He does not let their livestock decrease.
But when they are diminished and brought down through oppression, affliction, and sorrow,
He pours contempt upon leaders, and causes them to wander aimlessly with no direction.
And yet He up lifts the poor from affliction and cares for their families like flocks of sheep.
The righteous shall see it and rejoice, and all evil people shall shut-up.
Whoever is smart let him see these things; let them understand the lovingkindness of the Lord.

Resound harp and lyre! I will be up before the dawn.
I will praise You, Lord, throughout the nations; I will sing of You to every race.
For astounding is Your love, higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches the skies.
Be worshipped, dear God, above the created heavens;. Let Your glory surpass the earth.
Save us and help us with your right hand, that those You love will be delivered.
God has spoken from his sanctuary: “In triumph I will divide up Shechem and measure off the Valley of Sukkoth.
Gilead belongs to Me and so is Manasseh. Ephraim protects My head, Judah pronounces my law.
Moab is my washbasin, at Edom I throw my sandal, and over Philistia I shout in triumph.”
Who will gain my entrance to the walled city? Who will lead me to Edom?
Isn't it you, God, who rejected us and no longer supports our armies?
Give us aid against the enemy, for human assistance is worthless.
With God we will be victorious, and He will smash our enemies.

Psalm 109:1-31 For the Music Director of music. A song of David.
The God I praise, do not stay quiet.
Because the people who are wicked and deceitful have told lies about me .
With hateful words they hound me --- attacking without cause.
In return for my friendship they make accusations, but I am a prayerful man.
They repay me evil for good, and hatred for my camaraderie.
Appoint someone evil to oppose my enemy; let an accuser stand by his right hand.
When he is tried, let him be judged guilty, and let his prayers condemn him.
May his life be short; may another assume his position of leadership.
May his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.
May his children become begging hobos; may they be driven from their spoiled homestead.
May a creditor seize all he has; may strangers plunder the works of his hand.
May no one extend kindness to him or pity on his fatherless children.
May his descendants be cut off, their names blotted out from generations to follow.
May the sins of his fathers be remembered before the Lord; may the sin of his mother never be expunged.
May their sins always remain before the Lord, that He may remove their name from the earth.

He loved to pronounce a curse—may it come back upon him. He found no pleasure in blessing—may it be far from him.
He wore cursing as his garment. He drank it up, into his bones like oil.
May it be like a shroud wrapped about him, like a belt tied forever around him.
May this be the Lord’s reward to my accusers, to those who speak evil of me.
But You, Sovereign Lord, help me for Christ's sake; out of the goodness of your love, save me.

Glorify Your name, not ours, dear Lord! Cause everyone to praise your loving-kindness and truth.
Don't allow the nations to say, “Where's there God?”
For He is in the heavens and does what He wants.
Their gods are merely man-made things of silver and of gold.
They can’t talk or see, despite being so carved!
They cannot hear or smell.

For He is in the heavens and does what He wants.
Their gods are merely man-made things of silver and of gold.
They can’t talk or see, despite being so carved!
They cannot hear or smell.
Nor use their hands or feet, nor muter!
Those who design and pay homage them are just like such idols.
Dear Israel, priests of Aaron, and His Chosen; trust the Lord --- your helper and protector.
Jehovah is constantly thinking about us, and He will absolutely bless us. He will bless the people of Israel and the priests of Aaron, everyone, both great and small, who reverence him.

The dead cannot sing praises to Jehovah upon the earth.

1 Not to us, O Jehovah, not to us, But to Thy name give honour, For Thy kindness, for Thy truth.
2 Why do the nations say, `Where, pray, [is] their God.
3 And our God [is] in the heavens, All that He hath pleased He hath done.
4 Their idols [are] silver and gold, work of man's hands,
5 A mouth they have, and they speak not, Eyes they have, and they see not,
6 Ears they have, and they hear not, A nose they have, and they smell not,
7 Their hands, but they handle not, Their feet, and they walk not;
8 Nor do they mutter through their throat, Like them are their makers, Every one who is trusting in them.
9 O Israel, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.'
10 O house of Aaron, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.'
11 Ye fearing Jehovah, trust in Jehovah, `Their help and their shield [is] He.'
12 Jehovah hath remembered us, He blesseth, He blesseth the house of Israel, He blesseth the house of Aaron,
13 He blesseth those fearing Jehovah, The small with the great.
14 Jehovah addeth to you, to you, and to your sons.
15 Blessed [are] ye of Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth,
16 The heavens -- the heavens [are] Jehovah's, And the earth He hath given to sons of men,
17 The dead praise not Jah, Nor any going down to silence.
