Psalm 116:1-19
I love the Lord because He listens and answers my prayers.
Because He comes close and listens, I will pray for as long as I live!
Death was very close, yet I was frightened and sad.
I cried, “Lord, save me!”
How kind, good and merciful our God is!
The Lord protects the simple and the childlike; I was facing death, and He saved me.
Now I can relax. For the Lord has done this miracle for me.
He has saved me from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from tripping.
I shall live in His presence—while on earth!
In discouragement I once thought, “They are lying when they say I will get better.”
But now what can I offer Jehovah for all he has done for me?
I will bring him a wine offering and praise his name for saving me.
I will openly bring Him the sacrifice I promised.
His loved ones are very precious to Him, and he does not lightly let them die.
Dear Lord, you have freed me from my chains, and I will serve you forever.
I will worship you and offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving.
Here in the courts of the Temple in Jerusalem, before all the people, I will give everything I promised the Lord. Praise the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 I have loved, because Jehovah heareth My voice, my supplication,
2 Because He hath inclined His ear to me, And during my days I call.
3 Compassed me have cords of death, And straits of Sheol have found me, Distress and sorrow I find.
4 And in the name of Jehovah I call: I pray Thee, O Jehovah, deliver my soul,
5 Gracious [is] Jehovah, and righteous, Yea, our God [is] merciful,
6 A preserver of the simple [is] Jehovah, I was low, and to me He giveth salvation.
7 Turn back, O my soul, to thy rest, For Jehovah hath conferred benefits on thee.
8 For Thou hast delivered my soul from death, My eyes from tears, my feet from overthrowing.
9 I walk habitually before Jehovah In the lands of the living.
10 I have believed, for I speak, I -- I have been afflicted greatly.
11 I said in my haste, `Every man [is] a liar.'
12 What do I return to Jehovah? All His benefits [are] upon me.
13 The cup of salvation I lift up, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
14 My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people.
15 Precious in the eyes of Jehovah [is] the death for His saints.
16 Cause [it] to come, O Jehovah, for I [am] Thy servant. I [am] Thy servant, son of Thy handmaid, Thou hast opened my bonds.
17 To Thee I sacrifice a sacrifice of thanks, And in the name of Jehovah I call.
18 My vows to Jehovah let me complete, I pray you, before all His people,
19 In the courts of the house of Jehovah, In thy midst, O Jerusalem, praise ye Jah!

For great towards us has been His kindness, And the truth of God is eternal. Everyone Praise God!

Psalm 118:1-29 Give thanks to God for His eternal goodness & kindness.
Let the chosen of Israel, the priests of Aaron's linage, and converted gentiles praise Him with these same words: “His loving-kindness is eternal.”
He is for me! Why be scared? What eternal thing can mere mortals do to me?
The Lord is on my side and will help me. Let those who hate me beware.
It is better to trust the Lord than to be confident in men.
It is better to hide behind Him than behind the mightiest mortal ruler!
Though all the nations of the world attack me, I will march out behind his banner and wipe them out.
Though they surround and attack me; but with his banner flying with me I will cut them off.
They swarm around me like bees; they writhe against me like a roaring flame.
Yet beneath his banner I will annihilate them.
You did your best to murder me, O my enemy, but the Lord assisted me.
He is my strength and rally cry in the heat of battle, and now He has provided victory.
Songs of joy at the news of our rescue are sung in the homes of the godly. The strong arm of the Lord has done glorious things!
I shall not be killed but live to tell of all His accomplishments.
The Lord has spanked me but not handed me over to be killed.
Open the gates of the Temple—I will go in and give thanks to God.
Those gates are access to the presence of the Lord, and the righteous enter there.
Dear Lord, thank you very much for answering my prayer and saving me.
The stone rejected by the mason has now become the keystone for the arch!
This is the Lord’s doing, and it is marvelous to witness!
This is the day the Lord has created. We will rejoice and be glad during it.
Dear Lord, please help us. Save us. Give us success.
Blessed is the one who's on the way --- sent by the Lord. We bless you from the Temple.
Jehovah God is our light. I present Him with my sacrifice on the altar, for You are my God, and I shall give You thanks and praise.
Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His eternal loving-kindness .
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 Give ye thanks to Jehovah, For good, for to the age [is] His kindness.
2 I pray you, let Israel say, That, to the age [is] His kindness.
3 I pray you, let the house of Aaron say, That, to the age [is] His kindness.
4 I pray you, let those fearing Jehovah say, That, to the age [is] His kindness.
5 From the straitness I called Jah, Jah answered me in a broad place.
6 Jehovah [is] for me, I do not fear what man doth to me.
7 Jehovah [is] for me among my helpers, And I -- I look on those hating me.
8 Better to take refuge in Jehovah than to trust in man,
9 Better to take refuge in Jehovah, Than to trust in princes.
10 All nations have compassed me about, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
11 They have compassed me about, Yea, they have compassed me about, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
12 They compassed me about as bees, They have been extinguished as a fire of thorns, In the name of Jehovah I surely cut them off.
13 Thou hast sorely thrust me to fall, And Jehovah hath helped me.
14 My strength and song [is] Jah, And He is to me for salvation.
15 A voice of singing and salvation, [Is] in the tents of the righteous, The right hand of Jehovah is doing valiantly.
16 The right hand of Jehovah is exalted, The right hand of Jehovah is doing valiantly.
17 I do not die, but live, And recount the works of Jah,
18 Jah hath sorely chastened me, And to death hath not given me up.
19 Open ye to me gates of righteousness, I enter into them -- I thank Jah.
20 This [is] the gate to Jehovah, The righteous enter into it.
21 I thank Thee, for Thou hast answered me, And art to me for salvation.
22 A stone the builders refused Hath become head of a corner.
23 From Jehovah hath this been, It [is] wonderful in our eyes,
24 This [is] the day Jehovah hath made, We rejoice and are glad in it.
25 I beseech Thee, O Jehovah, save, I pray Thee, I beseech Thee, O Jehovah, prosper, I pray Thee.
26 Blessed [is] he who is coming In the name of Jehovah, We blessed you from the house of Jehovah,
27 God [is] Jehovah, and He giveth to us light, Direct ye the festal-sacrifice with cords, Unto the horns of the altar.
28 My God Thou [art], and I confess Thee, My God, I exalt Thee.

Psalm 119:1-176
א Aleph
Blessed are those whose direction is faultless, those who are motivated according to God's Law.
Blessed are those who keep his directions and look for Him with all their being.
Such do not err following His directions.
You have established regulations that are to be completely followed.
I wish that my ways were consistent in following Your decrees!
Then I would not be shamed when I consider all Your commands.
I will praise You with a righteous heart, learning Your righteous laws.
I will obey Your declarations; do not totally shun me.
ב Beth
How can a young person remain pure? By living according to Your word.
I seek You with my entire being; let me not wander from Your commands.
I hid your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.
Praise you, Lord; teach me your decrees.
With my mouth I remember all the laws that I speak.
I enjoy following your statute, as one rejoices in great riches.
I ponder your precepts and consider your ways.
I enjoy your decrees; I will not ignore your word.
ג Gimel
Be good to Your servant while I live, that I may follow your word.
Open my eyes that I may comprehend wonderful things in your law.
I am a vagabond on earth; do not hide your commands from me.
My soul is consumed with desire for your laws continuously.
You rebuke the arrogant, who are doomed, those who wander from your commands.
Take from me their scorn and contempt, for I keep your statutes.
Though rulers conspire and slander me, your servant will meditate on your decrees.
Your statutes are my delight; they provide my direction.
ד Daleth
I am groveling in the dirt; save my life according to Your word.
I gave an account of my ways and You answered me; teach me Your decrees.
Cause me to understand the way of Your precepts, that I may meditate on Your wonderful deeds.
My soul is weary with sorrow; strengthen me according to your word.
Keep me from deceitful ways; be gracious to me and train me in Your law.
I have selected faithfulness; I have set my desire on Your laws.
I cling to Your statutes, Lord; do not let me be shamed.
I run in the path of Your commands, for you have widened my understanding.
ה He
Teach me, Lord, the way of your decrees, that I may follow it to the end.
Give me understanding, so that I may keep Your law and obey it with all my heart.
Direct me in the way of Your commands, for find enjoyment there.
Turn my heart toward your statutes and not toward selfish gain.
Turn my eyes away from worthlessness; preserve my life according to Your word.
Fulfill Your promise to Your servant, so that you may be respected.
Take away the disgrace I dread, for Your laws are correct.
I long for your precepts! In your righteousness preserve my life.
ו Waw
May your undying love come to me, Lord, Your salvation, according to Your promise.
Then I can answer anyone who taunts me, for I trust in Your word.
Never take Your word of truth from my mouth, for I have put my hope in your laws.
I will always obey Your law.
I will walk about freely, for I have sought out your precepts.
I will speak of your statutes before rulers and will not be shamed, for I delight in Your commands because I love them.
I reach out for Your commands, which I love, that I may ponder Your decrees.
ז Zayin
Remember Your word to your servant, for you have given me hope.
My comfort while suffering is this: Your promise preserves my life.
The arrogant mock me unmercifully, but I do not turn from Your law.
I remember, Lord, Your ancient laws, and I be comforted in them.
Indignation grips me because of the wicked, who have forsaken your law.
Your decrees are the theme of my song wherever I rest.
In the night, Lord, I remember Your name, that I may keep your law.
This has been my practice: I obey your precepts.
ח Heth
You are selection, Lord; I have promised to obey your words.
I have sought Your view with all my heart; be gracious to me according to Your promise.
I have considered my ways and have turned my steps towards your statutes.
I will hurry and not delay to obey your commands.
Though the wicked twist me in a web, I will not forget your law.
At midnight I rise to give you thanks for your righteous laws.
I am a friend to all who regard you, to all who follow your precepts.
The earth is filled with your love, Lord; teach me your decrees.
ט Teth
Do good to Your servant according to Your word, Lord.
Teach me knowledge and good judgment, for I trust your commands.
Before I was afflicted I went astray, but now I obey Your word.
You are good, and what You do is good; teach me Your decrees.
Though the arrogant have plastered me with lies, I keep Your precepts with all my heart.
Their hearts are callous and unfeeling, but I delight in Your law.
It was good for me to be afflicted so that I might learn Your decrees.
The law from your mouth is more precious to me than thousands of pieces of silver and gold.
י Yodh
Your hands created me and shaped me; give me understanding to learn Your commands.
May those who fear You rejoice when they see me, for I have put my hope in Your word.
I realize, Lord, that Your laws are righteous, and that in faithfulness You have afflicted me.
May Your endless love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant.
Let Your compassion come to me that I may live, for your law makes me happy.
May the arrogant be put to shame for wronging me without cause; but I will meditate on Your precepts.
May those who regard you turn to me, those who understand your statutes.
May I wholeheartedly follow Your decrees, that I may not be put to shame.
כ Kaph
My soul faints with longing for Your salvation, but I have put my hope in Your word.
I go blind, looking for Your promise; I say, “When will you comfort me?”
Though I am like an abused wineskin, I do not forget your decrees.
How long must Your servant hold out? When will You punish my persecutors?
The arrogant dig pits to catch me, contrary to your law.
All your commands are trustworthy; help me, for I am being persecuted without cause.
They almost eradicated me from the earth, but I have not forsaken your precepts.
In Your unfailing love preserve my life, that I may obey the statutes You spoke.
ל Lamedh
Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands unchanged in the heavens.
Your faithfulness continues through all generations; you established the earth, and it lasts.
Your laws endure to this day, for all things serve You.
If your law had not been my delight, I would have perished in my affliction.
I will never forget Your precepts, for by them you have preserved my life.
Save me, for I am Yours; I have sought out Your precepts.
The wicked are waiting to destroy me, but I will ponder Your statutes.
To all perfection I see boundaries, but Your commands are boundless.
מ Mem
Oh, how I love your law! I ponder it all day long.
Your commands are always with me and make me wiser than my enemies.
I have more insight than all my professors, for I meditate on your statutes.
I have more understanding than the elders, for I obey Your precepts.
I have kept from traveling every evil path so that I might obey your word.
I have not departed from your laws, for you yourself have trained me.
How sweet are your words to my taste, sweeter than honey to my mouth!
I gain understanding from your precepts; therefore I hate wrong directions.
נ Nun
Your word is a light for my feet, a torch on my path.
I have taken an oath and confirmed it, that I will follow Your righteous laws.
I have suffered much; preserve my life, Lord, according to Your word.
Lord, accept the willing praise of my mouth, and teach me Your laws.
Though I constantly take my life in my hands, I will not forget your law.
The wicked have set a trap for me, but I have not strayed from your directions.
Your statutes are my heritage forever; they are the joy of my heart.
My heart is set on keeping Your decrees until I die.
ס Samekh
I hate vacillating people, but I love Your law.
You are my shelter and protection; I have put my hope in Your word.
Get away from me, you evildoers, that I may keep God's commands!
Sustain me, my God, according to your promise, and I will live; do not let my hopes be dashed.
Uphold me, and I will be delivered; I will always regard Your decrees.
You reject all who stray from your decrees, for their delusions are worthless.
All the wicked of the earth You discard like residue; therefore I love Your statutes.
My get goose pumps with respect to You; I stand dumfounded by Your laws.
ע Ayin
I have done what is righteous and just; do not desert me to my oppressors.
Ensure Your servant’s well-being; do not let the arrogant oppress me.
I go blind, seeking Your salvation, and Your righteous promise.
Deal with your servant according to your love and teach me your decrees.
I am Your servant; give me discernment that I can comprehend Your statutes.
It is time for you to react, Lord; your law is being broken.
Because I love your commands more than pure gold,
And because I consider all Your precepts right, I hate divergent paths.
פ Pe
Your statutes are wonderful; I therefore obey them.
The revelation of your words provides light; it gives understanding to the simple.
I pant, wanting Your commands.
Come to me and have mercy on me, as You always do to those who love Your name.
Direct where I go according to Your word; let no sin control me.
Redeem me from human oppression, that I may follow your precepts.
Smile on Your servant and train me in Your decrees.
Tears stream from my eyes, for your law is ignored.
צ Tsadhe
You are righteous, Lord, and Your laws are correct.
The statutes you have laid down are righteous;
they are fully trustworthy.
My zeal wears me out, for my enemies ignore Your words.
Your promises have been thoroughly tested, and Your servant loves them.
Though I'm simple and despised, I do not forget your precepts.
Your righteousness is forever and your law is true.
Complication and stress have come upon me, but Your commands give me delight.
Your statutes are always righteous; give me understanding that I may live.
ק Qoph
I call with all my whole soul; answer me, Lord, and I will obey Your decrees.
I call out to You; save me and I will keep your statutes.
I rise before dawn and cry for help; I put my hope in Your word.
My eyes stay open throughout the night, that I may meditate on Your promises.
Hear my voice according to Your love; save my life, Lord, according to Your laws.
Those who concoct evil plans are close, but they are far from Your law.
You're close, Lord, and all Your commands are true.
Long ago I learned from Your statutes that You established to remain forever.
ר Resh
Observe my suffering and deliver me, for I have not ignored Your law.
Defend my cause and redeem me; preserve my life according to Your promise.
The wicked have no salvation, for they never seek your decrees.
Your compassion, Lord, is absolute; save my life according to your laws.
Many are the enemies who persecute me, but I have not cast aside your statutes.
I look on the faithless in disgust, for they do not obey your word.
See how I love your precepts; spare my life, Lord, according to your love.
All your words are correct; all your righteous laws are eternal.
ש Sin and Shin
Authorities persecute me without reason, but my heart trembles at your word.
I rejoice in your promise like one who finds a hidden treasure.
I hate and detest lies but I love Your law.
7 times a day I praise You for Your righteous laws.
Great peace have those who love Your law --- nothing trips them up.
I wait for your salvation, Lord, and I follow your commands.
I obey your statutes --- loving them deeply.
I obey your precepts and your statutes, for everything I do You are aware.
ת Taw
May my cry get Your attention, Lord; give me understanding as Your word says.
May my prayers come to your attention ---- save me as You promised.
May my lips continually praise You, for you teach me your decrees.
May my tongue sing of your word, for all Your commands are righteous.
May Your hand be poised to help me, as I have selected your direction.
I want Your salvation, Lord, and your law delights me.
Let me live that I may praise You, and may Your laws support me.
I have wandered like a lost lamb. consider your servant, as I have not forgotten your commands.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 [Aleph.] O the happiness of those perfect in the way, They are walking in the law of Jehovah,
2 O the happiness of those keeping His testimonies, With the whole heart they seek Him.
3 Yea, they have not done iniquity, In His ways they have walked.
4 Thou hast commanded us Thy precepts to keep diligently,
5 O that my ways were prepared to keep Thy statutes,
6 Then I am not ashamed In my looking unto all Thy commands.
7 I confess Thee with uprightness of heart, In my learning the judgments of Thy righteousness.
8 Thy statutes I keep, leave me not utterly!
9 [Beth.] With what doth a young man purify his path? To observe -- according to Thy word.
10 With all my heart I have sought Thee, Let me not err from Thy commands.
11 In my heart I have hid Thy saying, That I sin not before Thee.
12 Blessed [art] Thou, O Jehovah, teach me Thy statutes.
13 With my lips I have recounted All the judgments of Thy mouth.
14 In the way of Thy testimonies I have joyed, As over all wealth.
15 In Thy precepts I meditate, And I behold attentively Thy paths.
16 In Thy statutes I delight myself, I do not forget Thy word.
17 [Gimel.] Confer benefits on Thy servant, I live, and I keep Thy word.
18 Uncover mine eyes, and I behold wonders out of Thy law.
19 A sojourner I [am] on earth, Hide not from me Thy commands.
20 Broken hath my soul for desire Unto Thy judgments at all times.
21 Thou hast rebuked the cursed proud, Who are erring from Thy commands.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt, For Thy testimonies I have kept.
23 Princes also sat -- against me they spoke, Thy servant doth meditate in Thy statutes,
24 Thy testimonies also [are] my delight, The men of my counsel!
25 [Daleth.] Cleaved to the dust hath my soul, Quicken me according to Thy word.
26 My ways I have recounted, And Thou answerest me, teach me Thy statutes,
27 The way of Thy precepts cause me to understand, And I meditate in Thy wonders.
28 My soul hath dropped from affliction, Establish me according to Thy word.
29 The way of falsehood turn aside from me And with Thy law favour me.
30 The way of faithfulness I have chosen, Thy judgments I have compared,
31 I have adhered to Thy testimonies, O Jehovah, put me not to shame.
32 The way of Thy commands I run, For Thou dost enlarge my heart!
33 [He.] Show me, O Jehovah, the way of Thy statutes, And I keep it -- [to] the end.

81 [Kaph.] Consumed for Thy salvation hath been my soul, For Thy word I have hoped.
82 Consumed have been mine eyes for Thy word, Saying, `When doth it comfort me?'
83 For I have been as a bottle in smoke, Thy statutes I have not forgotten.
84 How many [are] the days of Thy servant? When dost Thou execute Against my pursuers judgment?
85 The proud have digged for me pits, That [are] not according to Thy law.
86 All Thy commands [are] faithfulness, [With] falsehood they have pursued me, Help Thou me.
87 Almost consumed me on earth have they, And I -- I have not forsaken Thy precepts.
88 According to Thy kindness quicken Thou me, And I keep the testimony of Thy mouth!
89 [Lamed.] To the age, O Jehovah, Thy word is set up in the heavens.
90 To all generations Thy faithfulness, Thou didst establish earth, and it standeth.
91 According to Thine ordinances They have stood this day, for the whole [are] Thy servants.
92 Unless Thy law [were] my delights, Then had I perished in mine affliction.
93 To the age I forget not Thy precepts, For by them Thou hast quickened me.
94 I [am] Thine, save Thou me, For Thy precepts I have sought.
95 Thy wicked waited for me to destroy me, Thy testimonies I understand.
96 Of all perfection I have seen an end, Broad [is] Thy command -- exceedingly!
97 [Mem.] O how I have loved Thy law! All the day it [is] my meditation.
98 Than mine enemies Thy command maketh me wiser, For it [is] before me to the age.
99 Above all my teachers I have acted wisely. For Thy testimonies [are] my meditation.
100 Above elders I understand more, For Thy precepts I have kept.
101 From every evil path I restrained my feet, So that I keep Thy word.
102 From Thy judgments I turned not aside, For Thou -- Thou hast directed me.
103 How sweet to my palate hath been Thy saying, Above honey to my mouth.
104 From Thy precepts I have understanding, Therefore I have hated every false path!
105 [Nun.] A lamp to my foot [is] Thy word, And a light to my path.
106 I have sworn, and I confirm [it], To keep the judgments of Thy righteousness.
107 I have been afflicted very much, O Jehovah, quicken me, according to Thy word.
108 Free-will-offerings of my mouth, Accept, I pray Thee, O Jehovah, And Thy judgments teach Thou me.
109 My soul [is] in my hand continually, And Thy law I have not forgotten.
110 The wicked have laid a snare for me, And from thy precepts I wandered not.
111 I have inherited Thy testimonies to the age, For the joy of my heart [are] they.
112 I have inclined my heart To do Thy statutes, to the age -- [to] the end!
113 [Samech.] Doubting ones I have hated, And Thy law I have loved.
114 My hiding place and my shield [art] Thou, For Thy word I have hoped.
115 Turn aside from me, ye evil-doers, And I keep the commands of my God.
116 Sustain me according to Thy saying, And I live, and Thou puttest me not to shame Because of my hope.
117 Support Thou me, and I am saved, And I look on Thy statutes continually.
118 Thou hast trodden down All going astray from Thy statutes, For falsehood [is] their deceit.
119 Dross! Thou hast caused to cease All the wicked of the earth; Therefore I have loved Thy testimonies.
120 Trembled from Thy fear hath my flesh, And from Thy judgments I have been afraid!
121 [Ain.] I have done judgment and righteousness, Leave me not to mine oppressors.
122 Make sure Thy servant for good, Let not the proud oppress me.
123 Mine eyes have been consumed for Thy salvation. And for the saying of Thy righteousness.
124 Do with Thy servant according to Thy kindness. And Thy statutes teach Thou me.
125 Thy servant [am] I -- cause me to understand, And I know Thy testimonies.
126 Time for Jehovah to work! they have made void Thy law.
127 Therefore I have loved Thy commands Above gold -- even fine gold.
128 Therefore all my appointments I have declared wholly right, Every path of falsehood I have hated!
129 [Pe.] Wonderful [are] Thy testimonies, Therefore hath my soul kept them.
130 The opening of Thy words enlighteneth, Instructing the simple.
131 My mouth I have opened, yea, I pant, For, for Thy commands I have longed.
132 Look unto me, and favour me, As customary to those loving Thy name.
133 My steps establish by Thy saying, And any iniquity doth not rule over me.
134 Ransom me from the oppression of man, And I observe Thy precepts,
135 Thy face cause to shine on Thy servant, And teach me Thy statutes.
136 Rivulets of waters have come down mine eyes, Because they have not kept Thy law!
137 [Tzade.] Righteous [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And upright [are] Thy judgments.
138 Thou hast appointed Thy testimonies, Righteous and exceeding faithful,
139 Cut me off hath my zeal, For mine adversaries forgot Thy words.
140 Tried [is] thy saying exceedingly, And Thy servant hath loved it.
141 Small I [am], and despised, Thy precepts I have not forgotten.
142 Thy righteousness [is] righteousness to the age, And Thy law [is] truth.
143 Adversity and distress have found me, Thy commands [are] my delights.
144 The righteousness of Thy testimonies [is] to Cause me to understand, and I live!
145 [Koph.] I have called with the whole heart, Answer me, O Jehovah, Thy statutes I keep,
146 I have called Thee, save Thou me, And I do keep Thy testimonies.
147 I have gone forward in the dawn, and I cry, For Thy word I have hoped.
148 Mine eyes have gone before the watches, To meditate in Thy saying.
149 My voice hear, according to Thy kindness, Jehovah, according to Thy judgment quicken me.
150 Near have been my wicked pursuers, From Thy law they have been far off.
151 Near [art] Thou, O Jehovah, And all Thy commands [are] truth.
152 Of old I have known Thy testimonies, That to the age Thou hast founded them!
153 [Resh.] See my affliction, and deliver Thou me, For Thy law I have not forgotten.
154 Plead my plea, and redeem me, According to Thy saying quicken me.
155 Far from the wicked [is] salvation, For Thy statutes they have not sought.
156 Thy mercies [are] many, O Jehovah, According to Thy judgments quicken me.
157 Many [are] my pursuers, and adversaries, From Thy testimonies I have not turned aside.
158 I have seen treacherous ones, And grieve myself, Because Thy saying they have not kept.
159 See, for thy precepts I have loved, Jehovah, According to Thy kindness quicken me.
160 The sum of Thy word [is] truth, And to the age [is] every judgment of Thy righteousness!
161 [Shin.] Princes have pursued me without cause, And because of Thy words was my heart afraid.
162 I do rejoice concerning Thy saying, As one finding abundant spoil.
163 Falsehood I have hated, yea I abominate [it], Thy law I have loved.
164 Seven [times] in a day I have praised Thee, Because of the judgments of Thy righteousness.
165 Abundant peace have those loving Thy law, And they have no stumbling-block.
166 I have waited for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy commands I have done.
167 Kept hath my soul Thy testimonies, And I do love them exceedingly.
168 I have kept Thy precepts and Thy testimonies, For all my ways are before Thee!
169 [Taw.] My loud cry cometh near before Thee, O Jehovah; According to Thy word cause me to understand.
170 My supplication cometh in before Thee, According to Thy saying deliver Thou me.
171 My lips do utter praise, For Thou dost teach me Thy statutes.
172 My tongue doth sing of Thy saying, For all Thy commands [are] righteous.
173 Thy hand is for a help to me, For Thy commands I have chosen.
174 I have longed for Thy salvation, O Jehovah, And Thy law [is] my delight.
175 My soul liveth, and it doth praise Thee, And Thy judgments do help me.
176 I wandered as a lost sheep, seek Thy servant, For Thy precepts I have not forgotten!

Re: Bible verse by verse
You should have explained why did You decorated the text with Hebrew letters.Psalm 119:1-176
א Aleph
Blessed are those whose direction is faultless, those who are motivated according to God's Law.
Anyway, You are our Bible expert here, even this thread has nothing to do with Mormonism.
Psalm 119 uses a special literal device, the acrostic.
Every eight verse begins with the same letter of Hebrew alphabet.
1-8 with aleph
9-16 with bet (not beth; *** in English the "th" is a sound no other nation can pronounce...)
17-24 with ghimel
- and so on
"blessed" is ashre in Hebrew. A word begins with aleph.
That is, all translation of the scripture are bad ones, if they don't use acrostics for Psalm 119. Maybe somebody with poetic vein may do it.
A famous acrostic was made in Greek for the acclamation Jesus Christ, SON OF GOD, SAVIOUR. The initials spell ΙΧΘΥΣ (ICHTHYS), which means fish:
Ἰησούς I esous Jesus
Χριστός CH ristos Christ
Θεού TH eou of God
Υἱός Y ios son
Σωτήρ S oter saviour

beth should be bet
daleth should be dalet
waw should be vav (w is another stupid English sound)
heth should be het
teth should be tet
yodh should be yod (is that unsound "h" Your pet?)
kaph is kaf (the "h" again...)
lamedh is lamed (HeHeHe)
tsadhe is tsadi
qoph is qof
"Sin and Shin" ??? it is shin
taw - last but not least - is tav
Check this thread for more acrostics.

Thank you very much. I believe this sort of thing was done so that student memorization would be easier. It is possible to translate something so that it is accurate; however, foreign languages rarely share words and Hebrew has its own alphabet.

Psalm 120:1-7
I call on the Lord when I'm distressed, and He responds.
Save me, Lord, from liars and those out to deceive.
What will He do to a deceitful tongue?
He will punish you with military action and make a clean sweep.
It is terrible that I dwelt in Meshek and resided among the tents of Kedar!
Too long have I lived among those who hate peace.
I'm for peace ---- they want war.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 A Song of the Ascents. Unto Jehovah in my distress I have called, And He answereth me.
2 O Jehovah, deliver my soul from a lying lip, From a deceitful tongue!
3 What doth He give to thee? And what doth He add to thee? O deceitful tongue!
4 Sharp arrows of a mighty one, with broom-coals.
5 Wo to me, for I have inhabited Mesech, I have dwelt with tents of Kedar.
6 Too much hath my soul dwelt with him who is hating peace.
7 I [am] peace, and when I speak they [are] for war!
I call on the Lord when I'm distressed, and He responds.

Psalm 121:1-8
I look up toward the mountains. Where will my help come from?
Help comes from the Lord, the Creator of everything.
He will not allow you to digress. Your Protector doesn't sleep.
Actually, the Protector of Israel does not rest or sleep.
The Lord protects you; the Lord is a shield by your side.
The sun will not expose you by day or the moon by night.
The Lord will protect you from all harm; He will save your life.
The Lord will protect your travels both now and forever.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 A Song of the Ascents. I lift up mine eyes unto the hills, Whence doth my help come?
2 My help [is] from Jehovah, maker of heaven and earth,
3 He suffereth not thy foot to be moved, Thy preserver slumbereth not.
4 Lo, He slumbereth not, nor sleepeth, He who is preserving Israel.
5 Jehovah [is] thy preserver, Jehovah [is] thy shade on thy right hand,
6 By day the sun doth not smite thee, Nor the moon by night.
7 Jehovah preserveth thee from all evil, He doth preserve thy soul.
8 Jehovah preserveth thy going out and thy coming in, From henceforth even unto the age!

Re: Bible verse by verse
Psalm 122:1-9 I was happy going to Jerusalem, to the Temple of the Lord.
Now we are standing here inside the gates of Jerusalem.
All Israel has arrived to worship, to thank and praise the Lord.
Look! There are the judges holding court beside the city gates.
Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. May all who love this city rest.
May there be peace within your walls and rest in your palaces.
This I ask for the sake of all my brothers and my friends who live here.
May there be peace as a protection to the Temple of the Lord.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 A Song of the Ascents, by David. I have rejoiced in those saying to me, `To the house of Jehovah we go.'
2 Our feet have been standing in thy gates, O Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalem -- the builded one -- [Is] as a city that is joined to itself together.
4 For thither have tribes gone up, Tribes of Jah, companies of Israel, To give thanks to the name of Jehovah.
5 For there have sat thrones of judgment, Thrones of the house of David.
6 Ask ye the peace of Jerusalem, At rest are those loving thee.
7 Peace is in thy bulwark, rest in thy high places,
8 For the sake of my brethren and my companions, Let me speak, I pray thee, `Peace [be] in thee.'
9 For the sake of the house of Jehovah our God, I seek good for thee!

Psalm 123:1-4
I look up to You --- who is seated in heaven.
As the eyes of male slaves look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a female slave look to the hand of her mistress, so our eyes look to the Lord our God, till He shows us mercy.
Have mercy on us, Lord, for we have endured endless contempt.
We have endured endless ridicule from the arrogant, and contempt from the proud.
Young's Literal Translation (YLT)
1 A Song of the Ascents. Unto Thee I have lifted up mine eyes, O dweller in the heavens.
2 Lo, as eyes of men-servants [Are] unto the hand of their masters, As eyes of a maid-servant [Are] unto the hand of her mistress, So [are] our eyes unto Jehovah our God, Till that He doth favour us.
3 Favour us, O Jehovah, favour us, For greatly have we been filled with contempt,
4 Greatly hath our soul been filled With the scorning of the easy ones, With the contempt of the arrogant!
