My guess is that he committed some "sin". I speculate that he is going to rejoin the church and is going to be re-baptized.

The church sure was quick to point out that "his ouster was not for apostasy". Good to know he was TBM all the way to the end. Since he hasn't been arrested for murder, I'll put my money on some sort of "laying on of hands" involvement that was not the "blessing" kind.
Just sayin''
If it was adultery with a woman, I'd say they'd just cover it up and let him resign. What does that leave?

I'm a bit perplexed about the "maintenance of privacy" the PR department claims for this fellow, all the while offering reasons that were not a factor for this GA no longer being a member. That is not privacy. That is the Church saving face at the expense of said privacy.

Depends if you are referring to the ordinance or the confirmation...
Someone has a shocking lack of faith in the priesthood.

No cover up or resignation if the woman felt guilty and confessed to her Bishop...Stake President...other family and friends...her husband, etc. Too many tracks to cover. What if one of those people she told were a rabid exmo who would be dying to post on social media?

A poster on Reddit who claims to know and is close to the family is claiming another woman was involved. Take it for what it's worth

I think they always want to send a message. They think they are god's messengers for Christ's sake. However, if it is run of the mill adultery, the message is already loud and clear and has been for years. I just hope this guy becomes really disaffected and gives us inside details.
