Meanwhile, it’s a safe bet to assume that this purity of sanity is not the case, and that stupid or deranged individuals will interpret Trump’s enthusiasm for equating folks he doesn’t like to enemies of the people as a call for action.
Your belief that Trump cannot be seen as playing a part in inspiring the sort of stupidity that he himself shouts out to his crowds is both irrational and dishonest, especially if you’ve ever spent time living around average humans and have paid attention to how they act.
That's your fault. Says the girl who doesn't want the law to be enforced equally and fairly. You defend Hillary. You defend Avenatti and Swetnik. You defend perjury designed to sack our constitution. They wouldn't be chanting it if you had enforced the law. It's an expression of frustration with the injustice that exists between the rulers and the ruled. Stop being a lying cheating stealer and they'll stop chanting it.

The 13 pipe bombs allegedly mailed by a Florida man to prominent Democrats critical of President Donald Trump were "not hoax devices," according to FBI Director Christopher Wray.

I would add the idea that Trump doesn't want action is a particularly generous reading of him given both how frequent themes violence against his opponents come up, his tendency to otherize enemies, and his extensive praise of and envy towards dictators who use violence to silence critics.
The best case scenario is Trump as an unwitting stoker of stochastic terrorism. But that best case is probably far too kind on what's actually going on.

Today Trump was encouraging a "lock him up" chant directed at George Soros. More fans of judicial fairness, I take it?

Lol. I think that I found one of the deranged ones.
By the way, I’m not sure whose posts you’ve been reading, but you are certainly imagining content different than what I’ve actually written. I suppose that this is a good example of the problem with a lot of Trump fans.

Yep, the so-called party of personal responsibility is dead: replaced by the party of look what you made me do.

I assume you meant to say "personal responsibility." Lock Her Up is precisely about that...how does a call for personal responsibility translate into an evasion of personal responsibility?

How does repeated stoking of idiot behavior from thousands of fans by cuing a crowd to lock up folks for reasons that you can’t even rationally articulate demonstrate responsible behavior?
And you also just told me that I have some sort of awesome power over your behavior by, for example, not actually posting some crap that you want to claim that I did. How does that demonstrate rationality or responsibility on your part?

I'd have to see it to comment. I don't think Soros is a good guy. He pays people to engage in misbehavior, including criminal misbehavior. How much of this nasty is his fault? Why has DOJ filed charges against Russian election meddlers? Soros has done many orders of magnitude worse than random Russian marketing agent buying Facebook ads. Why aren't you mad at him? It could be argued his actions are what tipped the scales to Trump. I know several in AZ who were persuaded to join team Trump after the news of leftists shutting down that highway. Those were Soros paid activists. I don't think he's really helping you that much.
