There is one way to legitimately criticize Cohen's statement:

  • Cohen lied about what Trump said.
You are entitled to your opinion as to whether or not he is telling the truth. Is this the statement of a man who feels betrayed and abandoned by the man he spent a good deal of his adult life serving? Yes. Is it the statement of a man who has come clean about a lot of illegal and unethical things he has done in the service of the President? Yes. You can certainly make the argument that Mr. Cohen's statements were colored by his wish to hurt the man who abandoned him, or make the argument that he is now finally telling the truth.

But any attempt to excuse the President's words with another exercise of whataboutism is simply an evasion. Whether or not the President said those words is not mitigated by a YouTube video of a Democrat or anything else.

The left is in a full panic as blacks are increasingly walking away from the plantation known as the Democratic party. I wonder why a brit like Chap would express an interest in maintaining racist colonialism in America.

I've always loved how some folks on the Right use words charged with racist context while accusing the other side of racism.

This 'plantation' example is one of these. Folks on the Right who use this word can't even explain what their argument actually is.

Said without even a hint of irony. You don't expose yourself to much conservatism, then. Would you like me to explain the argument for you? In a nutshell, democrats make dependents out of people. Kind of like what the church does. You act like you've never heard this argument before, which is hard to believe. You could also just stroll over to Owens' Twitter page, she explains it better than I can. By extension you seem to be calling me an idiot, insinuating that I'm not capable of understanding the argument as articulated by people like Owens.

I’ve heard of the argument. Please explain how black people are forced to become dependent upon any particular assistance or support program, or are unable to freely decide otherwise to use them.

Back to Chap's original post.

Because the rest of the MeDotOrg post was so good, let's have it again (I have bolded the last sentence).

And as before, I add the rest of what MeDtOrg said:
