Why does this matter and how do you know this?
As far as you know they would have been killed weeks ago had they stayed.
They obviously planned the trip with enough food and water to make the trip. But they just assumed America.... you know, the beacon to the world for freedom and compassion... wouldn't detain them for 8 hours without food or water. But then, this is a new America now. It is Trump's America.
I'd like to know what the protocols are for migrants and their children when they land in custody. Do we have medical officials on hand to screen them for disease, health issue, whatever? This is so sad.

BREAKING: CBP official tells me Border Patrol agents transporting 7 year old Guatemalan girl who died were notified by her dad she was vomiting at 5AM.
She didn't get treated until bus arrived at a Border Patrol station at 6:30AM.
An hour an an half with no medical attention.
Andrea Mitchell says migrants who initially traveled to certain point of entries are being forced to travel through the desert in search of others because Trump has been closing them. It is all being done as a deterrent, again.

According to an interview with a DHS rep I heard this morning, the policy is that all migrants who are intercepted are offered food and water, and when they arrive to be placed into temporary detention at a CBP station, they receive an initial medical examination.
Some of the implied speculation from commentators following the interview was that this particular station is pretty small and isolated, and may have been somewhat overwhelmed by the size of group.

One - regardless of their motivation, they purposely put her in the situation. Two - As far as you know they would have been happily employed had they stayed.

Are you stupid...she didn't die from 8 hours without water...and how is it "obviously" they planned with enough food/water? Where do you get these notions that you are compelled to put forth, dishonestly, as facts?

Because we should have to look at this child if this is how we are going to deal with illegal immigrants:

I don't know how border patrol is trained. Do they have EMT/First Aid training? They may not have thought that a young girl vomiting was a medical emergency. Typically, it wouldn't be.
I don't know what the temps are there. She could have suffered hyperthermia/heat stroke. She could have had the flu, stomach virus or any number of things. I don't know if they're trained to assess on the spot.
Until I hear the specifics, I'm not going to judge this.
The other link about the water bottles. I need corroboration on that. I don't see 3K plus bottles of dumped water in the pics.
I'm willing to be careful about this and I know you are not.

Of course that's how you think. You're human garbage, and besides, that's the standard line over at FOX who are allowing the border patrol lady to go on live tv to say "That's what you get when you try to come here illegally."
Except they didn't come here illegally. They came to a port of entry which Trump closed for the sole purpose of making it harder on these poor people. That's why this crap happens during Trump, but not during Obama. Obama didn't pull evil stunts like these to deter people from exercising their legal rights to file for asylum.
