Maybe you can tell us why Trump needs to shut down the entire government over .01 percent of the budget, or whatever today’s number is that you’re promoting. Clearly the legislation is there to fund the Government. Clearly the Democrats have this ready to go.
Tell us again why Trump can’t move forward with signing off on funding the government.
You’re confusing cross posting with answering your same question in two different threads. But I digress.
Your response to my question is:
“Because he campaigned on the notion”
Well, that’s nice. But you aren’t answering why Trump needs to shut down the entire government over .01 percent of the budget, or a bad campaign promise made to placate a minority of voters. Maybe you want to address the question?

Actually, I don’t think that’s hard, Kevin. There is a precedent for presidents withdrawing from or abrogating treaties. And wouldn’t he be in compliance with the treaty as long as the wall isn’t built in a flood plain?
In which case he would be ceding territory to Mexico.
True, Kevin, but there’s precedent for that as well.

The wall is a bad idea. Trump should find some way to cut his losses and move on.

That question has been asked and answered. Perhaps, since you were asked first, you should answer why Pelosi/Schumer needs to shut down the entire government over .01 percent of the budget, or a bad campaign promise made to placate a minority of voters.

Well, you sacrificed your integrity and principles a few years back when you signed on to vote for and defend Trump regardless of whatever he might have done or would do. So I expect you to be purposefully obtuse. Not that this works on anyone; not even you believe what you’re saying, because you know that Trump has the power to sign off on what Schumer and Pelosi have already signed off on - some border security funding already, and legislation to fund the rest of the government. Nothing prevents Trump from enabling all to move forward ... except Trump.
It is fun to watch you dive deeper into that dark pool of mendacity in trying to carry water for Trump’s shutdown.

She isn't shutting down the government. Trump is the one making the demands and holding the nation hostage to his demands. Seriously, subbie. It's exactly that easy to understand. Blaming someone like they are causing the original problem for not paying a ransom is ridiculous.
