It is unbelievable how blatant, corrupt, unfair and dishonest some of the Republican Senators are determined to be when Trump is tried in the Senate. Lindsay Graham, for example, comes right out and says that he is not even going to make a pretense of being fair, and actually boasts about how biased and unfair he is going to be, and that he will not even look at or consider the evidence against Trump. What a horrible, historical precedent he is going set if he does that! If this becomes a precedent followed from this time forward, whenever a corrupt President is of the same party that controls the Senate, we might just as well strike out the impeachment clause from the Constitution altogether, for all the good it will do, and, perhaps, even the entire constitution itself! At least Senator Graham comes right out and admits and even boasts he is a dishonest, Trump Sycophant. I guess it's a kind of honesty to admit to being dishonest? And even boast about being dishonest? Incredible! How do people like that live with themselves, let alone actually get other people to vote for them?

Most Republican Senators, though, and perhaps even some Democrats are not coming right out firmly stating how they will vote. This is probably as it should be. In any ordinary trial, any potential jurors who come out and firmly state how they are going to vote before even hearing the testimony would, and should be automatically dismissed. It might be nice if Senators who boldly and publicly stated how they would vote before hearing the case could be made to recuse themselves from voting at the impeachment trial.

Gee Doc, I don't know why not..i mean i offered my own theory, but it wasn't hair-fire enough for ya, so you dismissed it but have admirably kept asking the question with the onvious intent to not stop until you get the answer you want...so that's legit.
But im also guessing that you believe the statute of limitations has passed and #TDS is way stronger than the actual lack of evidence for anything you have imagined Trump has done over the past +36 months. So yeah, how dare anybody bring it up now, because that just means Biden is innocent...cuz only Trump can be guilty...he must be guilty...he sooooooo has to be guilty of something...anything...dear lawd please bring baby Jesus to show us a pee tape.....

Slip in the same kind of quips Republicans like to use, like when referencing Biden include something like, "Joe Biden, whose removal of a corrupt PG was fighting actually corruption in the Ukraine,...".

So, if you are not only fighting corruption in one of the most corrupt countries in the world, indeed you are the point man for it and know it probably better than any American. You have more power foreign policy wise than any man in the world in the Ukraine. And there is one of the most corrupt companies in this most corrupt country that is run and owned by a literal Bond villian oligarch named Kolomoisky and from a thief from their own Government for the licenses to start the company who carted away with Billions of dollars oligarch Zlochevsky. Remember, Kolomoisky took over companies in the Ukraine with mercenary gunman and had people brutally murdered. Putin called him a clever villian. And as the point man for corruption, in fact the captain america for it, you definitely know of these guys. The company already had an American figure head, Devin Archer (who scammed a Native American Tribe out of 60 million among other chestnuts of using his step fathers cache, i.e. John Kerry), and while you are relaxing from being about your Captain America business of fighting this corruption, your son and you get to talking, and after asking him so what's next for you son? (He's had a hell of ride drugs, alcohol and prostitutes, kicked right out of the Navy of all things) and he tells you well Dad I'm thinking of a gig the honorable Devin Archer asked me to join him in, Energy business in the Ukraine, I know I don't have any experience necessary but hell the pays good and you know Dad I think I can clear up the corruption going on in this company. You don't think they offered it because your my dad do ya? No son its definitely your charisma. And by the way, I just so happen to be point man on billions of guarantees and dough for that exact sector, the natural gas energy sector right there in Ukraine, but just don't say anything it could be a possible conflict. You don't warn your son of the bond villian and the thief evil oligarchs - you in fact say good choice, the company, the country, no you say son, jump on that action but don't expect any help from me, wink. And when the bond villian oligarch who was banned from coming to the U.S. with just a year after your son joins the company is allowed to go to the US with some help from the embassy you don't bat an eye, your son is helping him with a 12 step program that's whats going on. Jesus, this story goes on and on and on but.........

you seriously ignore it as just a distraction "conspiracy theory" and just tout Biden as fighter of corruption! Crazy.

(And by the way Doc? Why didn't your New Yorker article even mention Kolomoisky's name, let alone a hundred other facts?)

Yeah, just don't call them morons. That's bad strategy. If we could just stop calling them morons, all our Democrat dreams will come true.

It's telling that you both believe the target would be Trump's base.

If it's moronic to see the issue with Joe Biden and the removal of the corrupt PG Shokin as having the appearance of potential corruption, then just about anyone with eyes ought to admit to being a moron. Superficially it looks like what it's claimed to be. It's with some investigation that the details illuminate how off that first impression is.

I don't know. It's been interesting to see the reactions to that line of discussion but also a bit worrying. For the same reason it's bad for the country Trump's base is immoveable, too.
