No. They'd rather be damned traitors. I've seen the T-shirts.
God belief is for people who don't want to live life on the universe's terms.
At times it seems that you have no idea about the 5th amendment...which is not a surprising condition from someone who relies on talking points to declare a Constitutional Crisis!!!

No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a Grand Jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the Militia, when in actual service in time of War or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offence to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
So which part of the post by Icarus relates to that text? If you are thinking of the bottom right picture "The innocent man who refuses to testify", then so far as I am aware the 5th is not usually interpreted as giving any right to refuse to appear before a court - otherwise all criminals would plead it immediately on indictment - but only, when before the court, to refuse to answer questions when a truthful answer to such questions might be seen as evidence against the person appearing.
Or am I wrong about that?
Zadok: I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis. Maksutov: That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.
It isn't just that Trump refuses to testify, he whines about not being able to defend himself! So the Democrats in the House invited him to come do so, but he refuses because he knows he will be under oath and he cannot stop himself from committing perjury. But he also threatens other people if they testify and even while they're testifying, which is illegal. He also orders people not to testify as if he has the authority to do that. He thinks he's the CEO of a country, basically a dictator, and that his executive privilege is all encompassing when it isn't. But on top of all this obstruction, trying to prevent people from testifying, the primary point is that he whines about the House holding a "trial" which to his mind is "unfair" because he isn't allowed to defend himself. Well, they called his bluff because he doesn't want anyone testifying on his behalf, especially himself.

Pelosi should withhold the articles at least until the Supreme Court clears Donald McGahn, Charles Kupperman and John Bolton to testify. If the Senate still won’t call them as witnesses, the House can hold additional hearings and supplement the record.
Trump wants to get this over as quickly as possible so he can claim he was acquitted and the delay is driving him bonkers. Pelosi is owning him once again it seems.

The longer we can say, Trump was impeached and never acquitted, the better that sounds.
I vote for no trial at all. What's the point if the outcome is predetermined? Better to leave people wanting more.

It's funny to me how far right and left agree once again. Talk radio hosts are calling for a long drawn out senate trial. Chris Wallace says that Trump should just settle for a quick acquittal and not push for a long drawn out trial that uncovers everything that went on for the public. All the tricks used by the Democrats in the House inquiry would be available to Republicans in the senate.
I think most everyone on the right and left now realizes this is just partisan political theatre. It's good for placating the Democrat base but it's not going to change peoples minds much either way.
And when the confederates saw Jackson standing fearless as a stone wall the army of Northern Virginia took courage and drove the federal army off their land.
