CNN's article on the defense argument you're listening, Top takeaways from the start of the Trump team's impeachment defense:
Yes, I am now asking the question of why the House Manager's failed to mention any of that and allowed for the complete open door the defense took today? I'm pretty sure Schiff and his team are aware aren't you?

Yah that was bad phrasing. I gave up looking for the exact language in Volker's transcript. Just lazy. Sorry. But Volker's testimony addressed a question about the aid around the end of July and he explained to Ukrainian officials these short delay's happen and there is nothing to worry about. That was right around the time of Zerkal's mentioning from the Times and Post article.
That would also explain why the House Manager's didn't bring up Zerkal in their opening. They had carte blanche to present articles and press.

I’m not sure why Zerkal needed to be brought up by House managers given that you are indicating that the Ukrainians were somewhat aware that aid was being withheld, in the face of the simultaneous claim that they weren’t, as a defense of Trump’s quid pro quo. I suppose that it would have been helpful, although it would be another item for the Republican Senators to ignore. Failure to mention Zerkal doesn’t make the quid pro quo nonexistent.
I'm approaching it right now in a process fashion. What exactly is each side presenting. I had listened to, going back through youtube, the house manager's long presentation. From what they presented the defense was able to present through testimony from Volker, et. al that at least through official channels there was no knowledge of the hold of the aid being linked in any way. Not until the Aug. 28, 2019 politico article did any of them hear any rumblings from Ukraine. That was what got presented and did fit with what the house managers presented.
Bringing up Zerkal would have undercut that possibility.

Because you were wrong on the facts, you seem to have changed tack to reproaching the process.
Regarding the "take her out" tape that hasn't made it to this thread, I still don't understand why the President was conspiring with a couple of private goons to remove a US ambassador when he had the power to do that himself with ease.

Because it makes him feel like "Don" Trump and I don't mean Donald.

The tape reveals Parness saying that the Ambassador was saying bad things about her and him being impeached which she has denied. He is heard saying she has to be taken out. Trump says he does not know the man but this tape shows as usual he is a liar.

The larger issue is not when the Ukrainians became aware of the hold or for whatever reason. This is irrelevant. What matters is that Trump attempted to extract bogus official announcements and ‘investigations’ from the Ukrainians, and demanded internally that the hold be initiated.

Lying is OK to Republicans, unless it’s about a blowjob from someone that didn’t give one to them. Then it becomes an impeachable offense.
No worries, though, as they’re all getting their chance to give a blowjob to Trump now.
