I asked if the trial was unfair and why?

I would like to see full blown trial, with the Biden's, Joe and Hunter, John Kerry's son, Joe's brother James and his sister, which would establish a motive and pattern of dirty business. And Bolton, Shiff, the whistle blower, Pilosi, Trump, Rudy...and anyone else that is involved in this mess. And then get a real jury that has no bias, either for or against. I want to see them all under oath. But practically that would tear the country apart worse than it is.

So in my opinion we should just, per party rules and privilege of those with the majority...get this circus over with.

Joe Biden is as dirty as the come, start a thread and I will feed you talking points to dig into...and shiff just lies and gets the blue base fired up over his lies, and Trump's laughs and feeds the fire with tweets, firing up his base...stop, think... and move on and concentrate on getting a opponent that can bet him cancakes.

But especially stop with the it's not a fair trial BS...especially when three of the jury are running for president against the defendant and their platform is mostly Trump is guilty. LOL...I feel like this is all a episode of Green Acres.

Markk, I’m not addressing the so-called ‘fairness’ of the trial. Apparently, you may not see it as ‘fair’ given that the Republicans could have opted to call witnesses, but chose not to do so, either for folks directly connected to the trial itself (Bolton) or for folks that have absolutely nothing to do with Trump’s actions (insert Biden of choice) ... you know, those actions that the trial was actually all about.

Now, you might want to reread my post. Answer the actual question within it, if you’d like.

Trump asked a country to ‘look into’ and publicly announce an investigation of an opposition party candidate in particular and by name (as opposed to corruption in general) when no corruption evidence exists connected to that person. This only benefits Trump personally and financially. This is not a public civic good. By your own rationale, this is a corrupt and impeachable action.

Canpakes,

Did you read what I wrote? I laid out the prima facie evidence connected with Biden.

“There was some money transferred by wire, but I can’t tell you why, or why that would indicate any actual corruption” doesn’t dispatch with my argument, or excuse Trump’s request or it’s obvious personal benefit to solely him. Please provide something real or substantial.

Canpakes,

I was responding to what Dershowitz's argument was. Are you having a different discussion with me?

Either way my post included more than just the wire portion. What is your and my current specific issue?

NONE Of the above has ANYTHING to do with the Impeachment trial.

On the one hand, we’ve got Trump, who has:

- Publicly bragged about stiffing contractors,

- Has retained lawyers that have been jailed,

- Ran fake ‘universities’ that were scams designed to rip people off,

- Has worked with corrupt international figures to acquire properties,

- Has layered his business with immediate family members of dubious qualification,

- Has been documented and proven to provide different financial information regarding the same investments to creditors versus tax agencies,

- Has racked up taxpayer-funded expenses of over 130 million dollars since his election, to be paid to his own hotel and golf properties,

- Has legally maneuvered to have a billion dollars of debt transferred off his books and on to ordinary taxpayers,

- Was forced to dissolve his ‘charity’ after it was ruled to be a fraud,

- Has fought tooth and nail to avoid having any of his tax history exposed to the public.

...

Then, there’s Biden:

Paraphrasing Markk wrote:I can’t give you any actual facts of anything Joe Biden has done that’s ‘corrupt’, but he’s as dirty as the come, because ... because... because ...

what? You seem to have jumped into my discussion with Icarus. I don't know what your asking?
