Re: Impeachment hearings
Something I've gotten in the habit of when I see people get the basics of civics wrong is wonder if they've forgotten their early education, somehow were deprived of it, or are just pretending to not know any better. Then I wonder if it's still being taught. So I open up Khan academy and am reassured that, nope, it's still there.

The both sides crap only comes from people who know the team they've been supporting sucks ass but can't admit they're worse than the other side.
And when I say they "can't" I mean they really can't allow themselves to see it. They have emotionally curtailed recognizing the truth.
I'm not a huge fan of the Democrat party, but they are nothing compared to the damned crap show that is the GOP. If you're one who thinks they're equal, you're at the very least lending your support to the cult, and might as well just get baptized and finish your kool-aid.

What's a narrative?
I thought you were a teacher?
It is a story, chronicle, backdrop...etc...in the context my asking, it is request to give me the back drop or story behind a open and subjective question. If you are just parroting Tishes question, without understand why she was asking it, and what she was trying to pin me down on, then fine...but if you actually have some sort of context or narrative behind your question, that makes the question relative to the conversation...then please let me know?
Your question is like asking "why didn't the police officer ask the DA to give me a ticket."
I answered your question, so I will go back and read and see if you expounded on your question so it makes sense.

If he didn't need the DOJ to investigate then why did he need to ask the Ukraine to investigate Biden and make a public announcement that they were doing so?
So what is your answer to the latter part of the question?
Because as commander and chief, he wanted to know if americans, even the vice president and his son, were corrupt and skimming off the top taxpayer funds? Remember...Joe was in charge of giving Billions of dollars...Billions Jersey Girl, to both the Ukraine and China...and yet there is a trail that really stinks that Joe's son and his associates were getting rich in these countries for no other reason that he was a Biden. he traveled with hs father in air force two, and there is evidence he did business on these trips. So, this is alone in my opinion, and obviously the presidents and others, to find out if taxpayer money was being, to say in gently, misappropriated.
Jersey Girl...Biden gave millions to a company "owned" by a "mobster", who employed the VP's son. And now, that very same mobster has fled the country to avoid prosecution.
If you have another reason, again, give me the narrative (story or back drop) behind the question, if I am missing something please let me know?

Great question. The answer is that Trump apparently perceived no need to do so, given the lack of any real evidence indicating corruption.
The same tactic of politically motivated ‘investigations’ lacking basis, when applied against Hillary Clinton by the Administration, was probably initially perceived to be a good way to provide a bit of red meat to the Trump voter base, but that ended up falling flat on its face. Trump likely noted that failure and chose not to repeat it.

Markk,
If the President wanted to know that, why didn't he use the DoJ for an investigation?

LOL...are you kidding me? Tish, is that what you were heading towards also, if that was it I take back what I said about you?
Okay lets then go full circle to what we have as evidence to ask for more evidence. J
1.Joe Biden having the check book for Billions of dollars going to the Ukraine and China.
2. Joe's sons and associates getting paid millions by people receiving these funds for doing basically nothing, and having no experience in what they received money for.
3. Potentially flying his son to these countries on taxpayer money to do business
4. The associates meeting with Joe at the white house when money is being transferred to the companies that they are being paid by
5. The company they were employed by, and received monies from was being headed by a known corrupt business man that has since fled the country and is living in a country (Monaco) where there is evidence that money from foreign countries given to the Ukraine ,in good faith, was laundered, skimmed, stolen, hidden, or what ever you want to call it.
6. Joe is on video offering a Quid pro quo to fire a prosecutor that wanted to further investigate his son.
This is just off the top of my head, and you are saying that this is not troubling, how is this lacking basis? This it is not worth a investigation...why?
LOL...what a anticlimactic let down canpakes! It boils down to I say there is evidence and you say there is not...is that what all the back and forth was about?
by the way, away from bickering...I have been meaning to ask you..is your name a grand kid thing, if so funny and cool? if not, whats behind it? Just curious.
I am a new grand pa recently for the first time...and while all the other grand parents picked their names, I decided to wait and let my grand daughter pick my name when she starts talking (shes 4 months old)...I can't wait. I kinda like the name Hoss, being a Bonanza fan, and a big guy, but my wife said no way...but I may steer it that way :)
take care

Well according to canpakes there is not enough evidence...I obviously disagree and have given plenty of evidence for an investigation, and opined that it is within the Presidents power to ask for an investigation of corruption of a goverment official to anyone.
Why do you believe Trump did not ask the DoJ?

You know why, because I and others have made ourselves clear. I want to know why, since you and purportedly Trump believe what you're posting is fact, didn't he use the DoJ to investigate Trump?
