Legitimate Political Discourse?

Post by Moksha »

Was the January 6th Insurrection at the US Capitol a "legitimate political discourse" as the Republican National Committee contends?

Well, what did they say?
Whatever Epps said was apparently discourse, according to the FBI. Sounds to me like it was the FBI that said Epps was just there and talking, and that the opinions of the RNC do not mean a damn thing to a damn person. The RNC's opinions are just like, their opinions man.
You tell me, does this look like political discourse, or insurrection?

Also. If protestors got arrested and then had their assholes probed by the cops, they probably deserved it, right? In your opinion, Moksha, are these people that are getting lit by repellent enjoying an insurrection, or political discourse?

I’m not sold on the idea that screaming for two months about an ‘illegitimate election’ against all evidence - then smashing their way into the Capitol building because no one took their faux victimhood seriously - counts as ‘legitimate political discourse’.

We could see a rash of Republicans smearing their feces on the wall as punctuation of their political thoughts.

Wonder what scene that was which Binger posted? Was it for Trump's march to the Church to hold the Bible upside down?

It’s actually from Jan 20, 2017, taken in D.C. during the Trump inauguration.

Oh my gosh. Well, since you brought up. Here is some more discourse. Since I am not nearly as smart as anybody else, I am just going to say that whatever you called this exactly when it happened, is what I am calling that. I am not nearly smart enough to redefine what you define.

Was something ‘defined’ in that post, or are you just having another one of your episodes this morning?

So a car is burning. No context. No idea who did it other than the Anarchist symbol. What's the point again?

Anarchists are Right Wing in philosophy. They take limited government to the extreme.

From wiki:
Anarchism is a political philosophy and movement that is sceptical of authority and rejects all involuntary, coercive forms of hierarchy. Anarchism calls for the abolition of the state, which it holds to be unnecessary, undesirable, and harmful. As a historically left-wing movement, placed on the farthest left of the political spectrum, it is usually described alongside libertarian Marxism as the libertarian wing (libertarian socialism) of the socialist movement, and has a strong historical association with anti-capitalism and socialism.

So Binger is holding the burning car up as another example of legitimate political discourse?
