Crosspost from the Joe Rogan thread:
Speaking of Ivermectin Joe, it looks like it ain’t do nuthin’ to prevent infection from Covid:

https://www.ksl.com/article/50351901/iv ... tudy-finds
The antiparasitic drug ivermectin doesn't prevent severe disease from COVID-19 any more effectively than symptom management and close observation by medical professionals, according to a study published Friday in the journal JAMA Internal Medicine.

Two previous randomized-controlled trials of ivermectin for COVID-19, from Argentina and Colombia, concluded that there was no significant effect on symptoms or hospitalization rates, prompting the World Health Organization to advise that ivermectin be used to treat Covid-19 only within the setting of clinical trials.

Closer to home, my roommate's father was an anti-vaxxer. Not only that, if you wore a mask he gave you a hard time.

He died last week of Covid.

I guess I could report in. I don't know if I shared this already or not. Three of our family members here got Omicron. Two were vaccinated, not the child. So far as I can tell it was all sinus...headache. Seemed to pass for two of them in a week and one lasted with it for well over 2 weeks.

Anyone sicka this crap yet?

Right now he's in Stockton taking care of his father's estate. He's doing okay, but all the of the estate hassles (complete with a drug addict sister who was left out of the will) are taking its toll. Right now he's both dealing with the sorrow of his father's death and feeling angry at his father's refusal to be vaccinated.

That’s tough, man. I’m sure you’re a good roommate and friend to him. He’ll need a friendly ear.

Neil Cavuto almost died from a Covid infection. Huh.

https://www.thedailybeast.com/fox-news- ... nia-battle
Cavuto used the opportunity to once again praise the life-saving Covid-19 vaccines.

"Let me be clear: Doctors say had I not been vaccinated at all, I wouldn't be here," Cavuto said.
Qtard covidiots saying ‘iT dOeSn’T pReVeNt *insert some retarded statement here’ are really responsible for so many Americans dying, and by extension memed to death other countries’ citizens, that anything they say about rights, or liberty, or good governance has been forever tarnished for me.

So, basically, the same as you were before but with another grievance?

Well, at least It's a cause for celebration when someone's life is saved by medical science, and they share their gratitude with the rest of us.

It was a complete change in thinking about colds. I suspect there's going to be other changes in thinking as a result of the pandemic.
I think you can have noticeable improvements in the health of a population by some of those changes. I would like to see handshaking not come back and be replaced by something like bowing. I think cultures where this is common where onto something.
