There are lengthy threads about this during the first Trump impeachment trial. The prosecutor Biden, as VP and the US admin rep handling Ukraine, demanded be removed was corrupt himself and NOT investigating corruption. The claim Biden did this as a favor to Burisma after meeting with a rep arranged by his son is so much made up BS. You need to be able to recognize that partial verification of a claim is a tool of con men, ajax.
Maybe you and Res Ipsa are right about this one. I'll admit that I have no rebuttal to your argument. I do appreciate your input on this. I definitely learned a few things. I would like to see a conservative who has more time and knows more than me clear up the other side of this argument.

I'm still no socialist but nevertheless Honor's service as a soldier does carry a lot of weight with me.
Hey ajax,

I appreciate that. I hope you also know that when I say I genuinely admire your response here, that is not due to anything other than I think it was a mensch move on your part. There are plenty of folks who vote more similarly to how I vote who could learn a lesson from you here, too.

Yeah. Play the ball. Because God forbid the guy who mocks my medical condition and believes interracial relationships are detrimental to the white man's security has thin skin.

I know ajax's response seems so awesome, but that's only because he's already set the bar so low for his threads, that a mere, "maybe you're right about this one...maybe I should find another conservative to refute you" (not a direct quote) seems so much better than his usual red herrings that pivot to some other grievance.

But I get it. You're impressed. Im not. Ajax will continue to regurgitate Brietbart articles nonetheless. Just watch.

Been following this thread and I commend ajax for conceding the argument. Admittedly I was even duped on some aspects of this story. I am glad that we can have good, honest conversation here to set the facts straight. We need to be more charitable of the other side, especially when they admit they are wrong.

Where did he say he conceded? I saw him admit the possibility he could be wrong this "one time" but then suggested some other conservative who knows more could prove him right.

And now, this -

Giuliani henchman Lev Parnas says Hunter Biden was 'set up' with seat on Burisma board

Bob Brigham
March 19, 2022

Rudy Giuliani associate Lev Parnas made stunning accusations on Twitter on Saturday about efforts to create kompromat on Joe Biden's son Hunter.

On Saturday, independent journalist Scott Stedman wrote, "I'll explore this more fully eventually but I think the balance of evidence points to the notion that Hunter Biden's job on the Burisma board was a setup."

From his verified Twitter account, Parnas says Stedman's report was true, using the hashtag #LevRemembers.

"It remains true that there were meetings with Rudy in early 2019 discussing the Russians having Hunter Biden’s emails, months before the same material ended up on the Hunter Biden laptop in that Delaware repair shop," he wrote in a thread. "It doesn’t take a PhD to ascertain what went on here. Parnas was later arrested and then the emails magically showed up at a blind computer repairman’s shop.”

Parnas again confirmed what Stedman had written.

Considering ajax's history on the board, I doubt he would ever or will ever outright say 'I am wrong'. The phrase, "Maybe you and Res Ipsa are right about this one" is literally typed out cognitive dissonance. Rarely do people ever switch their views instantaneously.

I used to share many of the views that ajax did. I was very much stuck in my own world. Insults and threats lobbed at me over my views only dug me in deeper and galvanized many of my prejudiced and harmful beliefs. It was the good and honest conversations like in this thread that allowed me to change my view of the world. If we ever want individuals like ajax to shed their more unsavory views and come to the table to have their views challenged, we need to celebrate the victories, even if they are small such as this thread. So while what ajax says might not mean much to you, from someone who has been in his position, it means a lot to me.

No, you don't get it. Not even close. And, just as in the case of Atlanticmike, you don't get to blame your decision to play the man on something someone else did. Are you so threatened by some folks having a civil conversation with Ajax that you just have to dive in and ridicule him?

I don't think anything Parnas says is going to be sufficient to move me off the ordinary explanation that relatives of powerful people get hired because people think they are buying influence. Exhibit A: Ginny Thomas.
