Interesting. Are you in UT, ID, AZ, or outside the US? It sometimes depends on where you live.

If you are in the US, except for the states mentioned above, you'll have to share your secret.

I have the data to back it up.

According to the data, 51% of men ages 18 to 29 are singles, but 32% of women in the same age range are single. What explains the big gap?

The gap is bigger for ages 18 to 25.

I am in UT. I'm assuming the high percentage of LDS people here has something to with your point. Utah Mormons marry young. They also tend not to start steady dating until they're about missionary age. I was BIC and left the church when I was 17. I only ever dated one LDS girl, the third in my modest lineup of girlfriends. She broke my heart, by the way. It took me a long time to get over her. It took her a long time too, even though she broke up with me. She only dated one guy after me years later and she married him. She came and talked to me about it the day after he proposed. Long term relationships are about meaningful connections, even the ones that end. They aren't about data.

There are millions of children starving to death in Africa, and a mere uptick in gestational diabetes, of all things, is the "most disturbing thing [you've] read?"

Man, you must live a very, VERY sheltered life.

I'm sorry to hear that and I agree. How many people have you dated?

Are you sure? You said you wanted to talk about diabetes.
Sure, let's talk about the increasing incidence of childhood diabetes. What are the contributing factors?

Not the first bet I would have lost. Go troll someone else.
I'm very disappointed in you. Childhood diabetes is not a joke. Would you agree that advanced maternal age and obesity are contributing to the rise of childhood diabetes?

Good. Your misogynistic posts are inappropriate.
Please continue to spam my thread with childish insults. It helps with visibility.
The only people who take your insults seriously are the dunning krugers.

 You know nothing about women, and you don't seem to get that the way you talk about women just makes you look creepy.
Courtney Ryan, a woman, talks about the fact that women have unrealistic standards. A lot of women are saying the same thing. Anyone in the modern dating market would know that.

you've established multiple times you don't understand statistics or academic papers, so feel free to quote your source.
Not true, but I'm a heck of a lot smarter now, at least smarter than the dunning krugers here.

It seems you're focusing on the wrong things. It isn't a numbers game. It also isn't clear cut. I know guys who have only dated one women and are happily married. I've met guys that have had relationships, so many one night stands and/or "side chicks" that they don't know the number and aren't happy with their status. I also know men who fit every part of that spectrum and feel different ways about it.

I've had probably an average amount of committed relationships and sexual partners for a male of my age in the US according to the statistics (by Utah statistics I'm a man whore and have been told as much by TBMs) I've read. Still, not a numbers game. Not a box to be checked off. Real human connection is the point. Like I said above, I'm not an especially attractive guy. Not real charismatic or social either. I'm better at writing than talking. Still, I'm married to a beautiful woman ten years younger than me that I love because she is who she is. Not due to her age or beauty. Nothing to do with child bearing either. I actually didn't think she'd ever date me, but she asked me out and now here we are. It just kind of happened. That's the point. It just happens.

ETA: When I started dating my now wife I wasn't really thinking about dating. I could have died happy single. The funny thing is that you often find someone when you're not looking. Kinda like the Buddhist idea of finding enlightenment by not seeking it. Beauty fades... true love does mot.

It makes sense, but I don't think it just happens to everyone.

True, maybe things get harder when you look. The solution may be to stop looking.
