Breitbart is reporting that Hamas has taken American hostages as well. I guess $6 billion palates of cash offered by Obama and again later by Biden hasn't appeased Iran much. Interesting that the Muslims never dared pull a stunt like this when Trump was in the Whitehouse. A military so strong that we never had to use it would have been nice but the people voted against that in favor of welfare spending. Congreswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Talib maintain that Israel started this by creating apartheid conditions for Palestinians. If any Hezbollah or Hamas militants need access to New York to harvest some Jewish hostages there, I doubt they'll have any trouble getting in nor will liberal Democrat Jews have any weapons to defend themselves.
Trump's withdrawal from the Iran Nuclear deal negotiated by President Obama is one of the most egregiously stupid things Trump did during his Presidency and made the current war almost inevitable!

Here's what's in the 2015 nuclear deal with Iran that Trump abandoned and Biden is vying to restore
Biden has made restoring the 2015 Iran nuclear deal a top foreign policy goal.
Trump withdrew from the deal in May 2018, pushing tensions with Iran to historic heights.
Trump controversially withdrew the US from the landmark pact in May 2018.

Subsequently, the Trump administration unsuccessfully sought to squeeze Iran into negotiating a more stringent version of the deal with harsh economic sanctions as part of a "maximum pressure" campaign. Trump's approach to the issue pushed tensions between Washington and Tehran to historic heights, and raised concerns that a new war was on the horizon in the Middle East.

Trump's unilateral decision to withdraw the US from the JCPOA in May 2018 was also promptly condemned by US allies, who have scrambled to find a diplomatic solution ever since.

Before Trump withdrew from the deal, Iran's breakout time to a nuclear weapon was roughly a year. But it's now closer to "just a few weeks," Secretary of State Antony Blinken said in early December.

Critics of Trump say that his decision to abandon the pact unnecessarily sparked a global crisis and increased the prospect of war, while pushing Iran closer to developing a nuclear weapon.

Trump frequently described the deal as "terrible," and while the pact has many proponents, he is hardly alone in this view.

To understand the polarizing nature of this deal and the challenges Biden will face in vying to restore it, here's a quick breakdown of the historic pact and the debate surrounding it.

The Iran deal, explained

The six major powers involved in these negotiations with Iran were known as the P5+1, which stands for the United Nations security council's five permanent members (the US, France, the UK, China, and Russia) and Germany.

The deal came together after two years of intense discussions and aimed to restrict Iran's ability to develop nuclear weapons in exchange for lifting economic sanctions against Tehran.

As part of the deal, Iran agreed to reduce its number of centrifuges — tube-shaped machines that help enrich uranium — by two-thirds. It also agreed to reduce its stockpile of enriched uranium by 98% and limit uranium enrichment to 3.67%.

In other words, Tehran agreed to restrictions that would allow it to have enough enriched uranium to maintain the country's energy needs, without having the ability to build a nuclear bomb.

On top of this, Iran agreed to give access to inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), the UN's nuclear watchdog agency, to its nuclear facilities, among other facilities. Prior to Trump's decision to withdraw from the deal and for a long period after, the IAEA repeatedly found Iran to be complying with the terms of the pact.

In January 2016, when the IAEA declared Iran was living up to its end of the bargain, all nuclear-related international sanctions against Iran were lifted.
[Emphasis added.]

In other words, Trump's withdrawal from the deal and adding harsher sanctions against Iran, had essentially the opposite of the intended effect.

Speaking of being prepared for emergency situations, I wonder if Ajax could use this archival information from the Clinton administration to help dunk on Hunter Biden?

The Right Wing fake news outlets have been tripping over themselves ever since this tragedy happened, trying to spin it in ways to serve their own political agendas. It is nothing short of despicable. Dozens of Twitter bots like Graham Allen and Benny Johnson are sharing videos of people protesting Israel's human rights violations in the past. These are videos from many years ago, but they're claiming they're recent, even happening on the eve of this terrorist attack. They're also claiming, with no evidence, that "this never would have happened if Trump were still President."

Why are Republicans today void of any morality? Why are they so ignorant about virtually everything? Just look at the dumb crap ajax couldn't wait to post. They actually think Palestinians are synonymous with Hamas and Al Qaida. They also think that if you're against the mistreatment of Palestinians, then you must hate Jews.

They're hypocrites, all of them.

They claim to be against helping Ukraine in their own struggle for freedom because they want us to believe they're just against war in general. But these are the same people who never hesitate to sign off on billions in aide for Israel. We give Israel something like $4 billion a year. Because they need it? No, because we've been conditioned to believe it is our duty to take care of them. The crazy thing is, Israeli people enjoy a universal healthcare system that is being subsidized by American tax dollars for decades now. SO its OK to pay for healthcare, but not for Americans. So much for "America First."

Good point. Palestinians are among the most unfairly mistreated people on the face of the earth -- both by official Israeli government policies and by some their own leaders. Does any fair-minded, believing Christian really believe that Jesus Christ would approve of the way Israelis mistreat and discriminate against Palestinians?

Really? Even fair-minded Christians? I know that there are some devout Christians who grieve at the unfair fate of so many Palestinians. Not all who claim to be Christians are heartless monsters, though, admittedly, too many of them are nowadays, especially since the advent of Trump and his minions.

There are even Jewish groups who believe the Palestinians are being mistreated.

Anyone remember Rachel Corrie, the American who was deliberately crushed to death by a bulldozer while protesting the illegal destruction of a home in Gaza? No outrage? That's because the Israeli police did their own "investigation" and concluded it was an accident. Besides, that's just one less Woke Liberal who can no longer vote Democrat as far as Ajax is concerned.

Anyone remember the little boys who were playing on the beach, and were blown to bits after being targeted by Israeli gunships? Never did understand why that horrific incident ended up getting swept under the rug as if it didn't happen.

The things that would haunt our airwaves for months on end if they had happened in a Muslim country.

Yes, I know. I was intending to browse the internet for evidence of that myself, but you beat me to it! :)

Tragic examples to be sure!

Report: Democratic Socialists of America to Rally, Cheer Hamas Terrorist Attack on Israel

The Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) will host an “All Out for Palestine” rally in New York’s Times Square on Sunday, gathering in the wake of the Hamas terrorist attack on Israel that has claimed more than 500 lives and left several thousand more injured.

The New York Post reports via an op-ed attributed to its Editorial Board that DSA supporters are urged to, “Wear a mask so you’re not recognized” while being told, “Best to just let the swastikas do the talking.”

“Never mind the hundreds of Israeli civilians and children who have been murdered, wounded, abducted, and terrorized. Their lives mean nothing to the DSA. Nothing,” Rep. Ritchie Torres (D-NY) wrote in response Saturday.

“The NYC-DSA is revealing itself for what it truly is: an antisemitic stain on the soul of America’s largest city.”

The NY Post item details the DSA as the party of Ilhan Omar, Cori Bush, Rashida Talib — and New York’s own Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Jamaal “Fire Alarm” Bowman.

For her part, Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO has issued a statement on the violence in Israel, taking to social media calling for an [end] to “U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid” while professing sympathy for the dead of injured.

Bush draws moral equivalency between Hamas terrorists and Israeli military, mourns deaths caused by “bombardment” of Gaza, before further condemning Israel’s “military occupation” and claims “apartheid.”

The NY Post editorial further sets out the reasons why the Biden administration should do its utmost to support the Jewish state in its hour of need, declaring:

This is a clarifying moment for America, which needs to stand as Israel’s unwavering ally. These are monsters, and the people who support them are despicable. To President Biden: Stop playing footsie with the Ayatollah and stand up against Iran’s warmongering. To Democrats: Denounce the representatives giving aid and comfort to murderers and kidnappers.

It ends with a simple exhortation, “And to New Yorkers: Come to Times Square on Sunday at 1 p.m. Hold up Israeli flags. Shout down the DSA. Show that hate will not be tolerated.”
The New York Post (NY Post) is an American conservative[2] daily tabloid newspaper published in New York City. The Post also operates NYPost.com,[4] the celebrity gossip site PageSix.com, and the entertainment site Decider.com.

Of course, they also trafficked in Russian disinformation like Hunter Biden's influence pedaling, whoremongering, drug binging, etc. Good thing the deep state was there to usurp the "tabloids" right to freedom of speech, lest it hurt their preferred candidate in 2020.

Biden's line went from

1. I never spoke with Hunter about his overseas business dealings. My son has done nothing wrong. The laptop was a Russian disinformation plant.
2. Of couse I spoke with him about his overseas business dealings but I never was in business with my son.
3. Hunter never made any money from China.
4. Well maybe Hunter made money off multiple hostile foreign powers for no discernible consideration other than influence pedaling, but I never made money.
5. Well maybe a $250k check from China was delivered to my house, but it wasn't for me (Hunter didn't live there at the time.)

All of Biden's lies dating back to the 2020 debate were already debunked by the tabloid New York Post by Miranda Devine who first reported on the laptop in Oct 2020. The "tabloid" was telling the truth all along.

Thanks to people like Rachel Corrie, Israel can't even defend its own borders, or maybe they're just not allowed to. And it's not just years ago, Democrats are already saying Israel shouldn't fight back.
