Pragmatism is about considering how to win in the world that exists. Not about how to win in the world you wished existed.

So yeah, the Democrats need to get to work and figure how to appeal to damned idiots, because that's where they're losing.

The easiest way is to improve their lives in some tangible way. These voters don’t care if transgender people are allowed to play in sports. They care if they can afford to feed their children next month.

It's probably too early to discuss this issue here, but, I agree that the democrats need to have something other than anti-Trump rhetoric. It obviously didn't work. Maybe take a look at why Sanders was so popular until the democratic party establishment squelched his 2016 and 2020 campaigns.

All the democrats need to do is make this a class issue, not a race or gender issue.

Their donors don't want that. They want to continue the trend to monopoly and keep the status quo oligopoly. So, populism on the left cannot succeed when supposed populism on the right is in play. I think they'd rather lose an election.

There will be no 50% reduction in energy costs as Trump has promised. No significant reduction in food costs. Housing prices aren’t coming down more than 10% without a recession forcing a greater reduction. None of that can be changed through Trump Administration policy. He knows that, and I suspect that a good portion of his voter base also subconsciously knows it, but the lie of all of that is a comfortable blanket, and his supporters will wrap themselves within it and embrace it. Excuses will follow, most manufactured by Trump’s donor base, to keep the Trump voter base compliant and manipulated.

Kamala not addressing her supporters last night was really symbolic of the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party.
