A cable seen by the Guardian titled “One flag policy” appears to target several instances during the Biden administration when gay pride and Black Lives Matters flags were flown at embassies abroad.

Gay pride flags were also on display at the White House during a 2023 Pride month celebration held on the south lawn, sparking a backlash from conservatives.

Her alleged murderer has been charged with first-degree murder, abuse of a corpse, aggravated assault and tampering with evidence. Pennsylvania does not currently have a hate-crime statute. These symbols of solidarity by government are impirtant to send the message that hate crimes against disenfranchised and persecuted minorities will not be tolerated by the government. Removing them sends the opposite message. The only downside to displaying those flags is that the white supremacists and homophobes get a bit upset - but they are the core votes for Dear Leader Trump.

in my opinion, laws would be a better deterrent to hate crimes. Oh, wait, we have those. You did mention above that PA does not have a hate crime statute related to LGBTQ+. What constructive efforts are you personally taking to change that?

On the other forum, I just presented a fabricated analogy to explain why Trump was elected. Now, I’d like to share a true story analogy that illustrates why Trump was elected. This will help you understand that it's not just Republicans and independents who are weary of the progressive narrative, even common sense Democrats like myself are fed up with the extreme behavior.

During my time as a Mormon, my wife and I had mostly wonderful children as they were growing up. However, our youngest child entered a phase where, for years, this kid focused solely on himself. His actions were entirely self-serving, as he believed he had every right to behave that way. Family members would open the refrigerator, and his personal food would be labeled with DO NOT EAT, THIS FOOD IS PERSONAL PROPERTY! He shared a Jack and Jill bathroom with one of his siblings but never took the initiative to clean it, leaving the responsibility entirely to the child in the other bedroom. He would become upset if his clothes were laundered alongside those of others. During our road trips, everyone was aware of the time to be in the car, yet we often found ourselves waiting 15 to 20 minutes for him to emerge from the house. This was a consistent occurrence, and it was clear to everyone that he was doing it intentionally.

The current perception of progressives by the American electorate in 2024 resembles how my family viewed my youngest son, as a spoiled and entitled individual who lacks the capacity to think beyond his own needs and concerns. Progressives have developed a tendency to irritate the entire family with a sense of entitlement that resembles that of a spoiled youngest child.
