See that? He could have done this without the grandstanding had he only communicated with Mexico and Canada.

The thing with Canada that really gets me, is that the thing they promised him is something they were already working on (and had already promised) while Biden was still President.

Trump just took a dump on our closest ally, torched a lot of good will, inspired Canadians (Canadians!!!) to boo when America's national anthem is performed, and what for? To have Canada tell him they'll do something they're already doing.

Meanwhile, him, and his ilk try to sell it as "securing our border," but when you look at all of the statistics of drugs flowing into Canada from US vs from US to Canada, illegal migrants flowing between the two, crime, etc.... the US is Canada's Mexico.

He sent one message, loud and clear. It isn't that America is great, or that America is strong or tough. It's that America is a crap friend to have, and should never be taken seriously.

He thinks it makes him look tough. He thinks he can personally benefit financially from the tariffs. He thinks it gives him strongman leverage with Canada, Mexico and China.

I saw a video the other day from a person making the case that because Trump talks like a third grader, morons all over the country feel empowered and relate to him, finally being able to understand a politician for the first time. Its the argument I've been making for years. Stupid people feel represented, and it turns out most Americans are dumb as crap.

So, at first I was praying for Trump to not lose his mind so that he would be fully cognizant of what was happening to him when that cell door clanked behind him. Then, when he ran again I switched to wishing he would go fully senile to where not even the MAGI (long G) could deny. (tough ask, I know) When he won I switched back to wanting him sane, since only a fully functioning Trump brain could “F” things up, destroy the economy and get us all killed like he is famous for. That would be good for me because I could then play the - told you so - card.

But then I got to thinking, getting everybody killed for gloating purposes is a pretty high price, so I'm back to wanting him senile. After a little more over-thinking I decided to go with: not senile. Since Trump's main driving force is primarily ego and pocketbook, and secondary, being a racist, homophobic prick, if he goes senile that would put all of the assholes he has surrounded himself with in charge, who are, to the person, the exact opposite.

D'oh. You've gotten me again. Looks like I should have meant to say - hard G - instead of long G. It was meant to make the term MAGA plural and to have it not confused with the three kings of orient.

As to the second question. I can see now that I wasn't very clear. I was trying to say that I feel Trump is primarily ego and money driven and his racism and other isms are secondary and sometimes done just to garner votes. Whereas his posse is the opposite of that. Meaning, primarily racism, other ism driven and ego and wallet secondary. So, I feel that maybe the lesser of two evils would be Trump. Ego + stupid < Rotten + stupid. As in Steve Bannon, Stephen Miller, Tom Homan, et al.
