Even if the invocation of the AEA is allowed, the AEA allows for the apprehension, detention, and deportation of aliens.

There is NO EXTANT instrument in US law that allows the US to send aliens to be imprisoned in a foreign prison. Any imprisonment is a removal of liberty and subject to the due process guaranteed in the 5th amendment.

Just finished reading the available court docs for "V.M.L" (the 2-year-old U.S. citizen). From what I could gather, Trump's goons kidnapped a 2-year-old U.S. citizen (who had U.S. citizens granted guardianship), held her as a hostage to try to get the dad to turn himself in, and then trafficked the U.S. citizen child to another country to punish the dad for not giving into their hostage demands.

Maybe a MAGA proponent can help me know what violent gang the 2-year-old U.S. citizen, with U.S. citizens as legal guardians, was part of that warranted them being kidnapped and trafficked to another country.

While the MAGA crew is at it, what's the pro-life position on kidnapping and trafficking a 4-year-old U.S. citizen who has cancer, whilst denying them medication or consultation with their physicians?

No one with a functional conscience could continue to support this inhumanity.

I answered your question.
No, you’ve sidestepped it. As well, you haven’t been able to provide details on ‘Trump’s plan’.

Nonsense Cakes, We have been discussing Trump's plan, my promoting it and you throwing rocks at it. Are you saying you do not know what Trump's plan is that you are criticizing over and over?

His plan which we have discussed over and over, including tariff leverage, has in all practical reality shut down the illegal entries. The border is secure.

Illegal border encounters are down by 95%.
Illegal immigrant “gotaways” — the top threat to public safety — are down by 99%.
Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin: “If Fox were to send me down there right now, I would have trouble finding a single migrant on camera.”
CBS immigration reporter Camilo Montoya-Galvez: “Typically, when we go to the U.S./Mexico border, we at least see one group of people who are trying to cross into the U.S. illegally. We did not see a single migrant.”
The Wall Street Journal: Border Crossings Grind to Halt as Trump’s Tough Policies Take Hold
The New York Times: How Trump’s Hard-Line Tactics Are Driving Down Migration
CBS News: Amid Trump crackdown, illegal border crossings plunge to levels not seen in decades
Axios: Border crossings plunge to lowest levels in decades: New data
New York Post: Northern border sector previously overrun by illegal migrants sees dramatic drop in crossings: ‘We haven’t seen anyone since November’
The Times: This city was a border flashpoint. Now the only migrants are quail
Reuters: Migrant arrests at US-Mexico border in March lowest ever recorded
Bloomberg: US-Bound Migration Plunges 99% Along Panama Jungle Route
The Washington Times: Under Trump, border catch-and-release has dropped 99.99% from worst Biden month
Los Angeles Times: California-Mexico border, once overwhelmed, now nearly empty

This was down by Tariff leverage which I told you about a few months ago, troops on the border, US, Mexican, and Canadian. All this we discussed on other threads, per his plan, made this happen.

Also per his plan, which we discussed, we are going after very effectively gang members and criminals living and operating in the US...which ironically you are arguing, per his plan, is illegal.

You have failed to articulate the democratic plan, so not you are just parroting that the plan of Trump's, which you and others are bitching about, some how does not exist.

He is, per his plan rebuilding the wall, and constructing and installing other preventions, like wire and buoys.

Can you give him credit, whether you agree with it or not, that his plan to shut down the border to very manageable levels, and remove criminals and gangs, is a huge success, or are you going to insist this has all happened without a plan? Good luck.

Where is the democratic plan to stop the crisis that use to be at the border? Wasn't Bidens plan to have a huge messy bill passed and he blamed it on the GOP for not agreeing with it, and yet Trump has done what Biden said could only be done with a bill, with a few executive orders and a we thought out and executed plan....

Sounds like the acquisition of documents via illegal means and deception. Looks like it’s time to deport them all, because even though they’ve likely been working and being productive for years, and paying taxes into the system, they may have tattoos and therefore are gang members. I really don’t see any difference between them and a lot of other folks being deported by the Trump Administration. The uncle, especially, came here illegally and didn’t apply for a green card while still in Mexico. You told me yourself how bad and lazy that is. “Are they not breaking the law by coming here illegally? Why don’t they just follow the system?”, right?.

Time for you to make a call to ICE, Markk. I hear there might even be a reward in it, for you.
Lol, Cakes in the past we use to have some decent back and forths and I think it it safe to say we made each others think, even if we disagreed. You have however died on this hill long ago, and I think you should just concede that the border policies, and the plan that Trump has put into place, so far has been a huge success, such as border encounters down 95%, and ensuring the the Mexican government properly patrolled its own side of the border. All you have these days are "what if's"...."tattoos"....and "throw them in a van."

Carry on.

I remember in past discussions a liberal would make a comment about how there was this or that problem in America, and the conservative would fire back, “if America is so awful and communist countries are so great, why do we have to build walls to keep foreigners out, and they have to build walls to keep citizens in?”

In the context of a conversation about immigration in a country led by an alleged fascist, is the reason immigration is down because the alleged fascist built really good walls, or is it because America is no longer a very good place to pursue the American dream?

‘Closing the border’ will indeed reduce the number of border crossers. I don’t think that’s much of a plan for anything other than closing the border, because xenophobia is in high fashion these days.

Tariffs have been a bust, with the Administration flipping and reversing course every 18 hours depending upon how Trump fears the public and the bond market will react. All we’ve done there is introduce incredible uncertainty into what to expect on any given day, and we’ve shown our trading partners that the Administration’s approach is incompetent and that we cannot be trusted as trading partners. The plan here seems to be to demonstrate that the Administration has no actual or cohesive plan nor any idea what it’s trying to accomplish with tariffs.

As for deportations, we have pictures of faceless people being deported but with no details given, along with a good number of ordinary men, women and children deported, many of which seem to have no association with gangs, but who are easy to grab and toss into ICE vans because these folks have been following the rules and reporting their addresses to ICE. The plan here seems to be to deport lots of folks who are following the rules, while we ignore due process when we want to.

Have you called ICE on your non-cit employees and their illegal relatives, yet? Why or why not?

With my many failings, it's one small consolation knowing my son (and potential grandchildren) will never have to live with the shame of me being on the wrong side of history with something that is so obviously ethically and morally abhorrent.

Sometimes, being raised with a Christian ethic pays significant long-term dividends.
