Eldred G. Smith - Patriarch to the Church

Post by Shulem »

Eldred G. Smith, Patriarch to the Church, General Conference, April 1952 wrote:It is given to us that the descendants of Shem and Japheth, sons of Noah, if they receive the gospel, are entitled to the priesthood. Only the sons of Cain are not entitled to the priesthood, and you can read why in the Pearl of Great Price.

The Book of Abraham bears racist and hateful doctrine and it's chronology is absolutely false.

Anyone who defends the Book of Abraham is a f-ing liar! That includes Don Bradley!

The doctrine of race and priesthood restriction is documented in Latter-day Saint scripture and was maintained as such under the direction of all Church Presidents until 1977.

The Patriarch to the Church (Presiding Patriarch) was an ordained prophet, seer, and revelator. The first man to hold such office was Joseph Smith's father and the last was Eldred G. Smith who formerly retired in 1979 by which the office was permanently discontinued. The second man to be ordained to this office was Hyrum Smith and revelation in the D&C records this event and the POWER associated with that office:

D&C 124:92-95 wrote:That from henceforth he shall hold the keys of the patriarchal blessings upon the heads of all my people,

That whoever he blesses shall be blessed, and whoever he curses shall be cursed; that whatsoever he shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven; and whatsoever he shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.

And from this time forth I appoint unto him that he may be a prophet, and a seer, and a revelator unto my church, as well as my servant Joseph;

That he may act in concert also with my servant Joseph; and that he shall receive counsel from my servant Joseph, who shall show unto him the keys whereby he may ask and receive, and be crowned with the same blessing, and glory, and honor, and priesthood, and gifts of the priesthood, that once were put upon him that was my servant Oliver Cowdery;

When the Presiding Patriarch (Eldred G. Smith) stood before the body of the church in General Conference, he acted in concert with the approval of the President of the Church in declaring standard doctrine that negros were barred from the priesthood ("NOT ENTITLED") on account of the Lord's priesthood restriction for the cursed children of Ham according to the Pearl of Great Price. This was the DOCTRINE of the Church and a policy that was guarded, very, very carefully, and was strictly enforced under the direction of the President of the Church who has the ultimate responsibility to "conduct all meetings as they are directed and guided by the Holy Spirit." (D&C 46:2)

Thus we see how today's apologetics throws the 1952 Church under the bus. The Church President, Presiding Patriarch, and the Holy Spirit have been run over by the bus and spiritually executed by today's fanatical Mormons! I'm afraid that apologists effectively wrap a hangman's noose around the neck of the Holy Spirit and hang and deny him. The Mormons have murdered their Holy Spirit! And that could be construed as blasphemy against the Holy Ghost!

Oh how Mormons love to lie!

So many offices were added that are no longer needed or desired in the Corporation. This was a nepotistic honor that was created specifically for Hyrum.

It sounds so fraternalistic to call the Board of Directors "the Brethren".

Here is the image of a RACIST man within a certain power structure:

This post suggests how power within organizations can keep other races down -- notably, in this case, the black man. Mormonism is a religion having teachings and scripture that is steeped within doctrines of racism. Or in other words:

To be white and delightsome is to be chosen of God rather than be burnt pieces of African toast!

If YOU (readers) don't like this post, then, I, Shulem, say:

Covert Racism in Modern Mormonism

Post by Shulem »

Wikipedia wrote:Covert racism is a form of racial discrimination that is disguised and subtle, rather than public or obvious. Concealed in the fabric of society, covert racism discriminates against individuals through often evasive or seemingly passive methods. Covert, racially biased decisions are often hidden or rationalized with an explanation that society is more willing to accept. These racial biases cause a variety of problems that serve to empower the suppressors while diminishing the rights and powers of the oppressed. Covert racism often works subliminally, and much of the discrimination is done subconsciously.

Enlightenment colonialism refers to a set of cultural norms that served as a justification for colonial rule. Enlightenment colonialism comes from the philosophy of the White Man's Burden and the supposed moral responsibility of white people to "save" the "uncivilized" people in the Global South. The fundamental premise rests on the cultural inferiority of former colonies compared to the "civilized" culture of Western powers. Economic exploitation, slavery, and oppression were justified by the promise of introducing the tenets of a "civilized society" as defined by the fundamental elements of Western culture.

Just say "No" to racism!

Post by Shulem »

Enlightenment is color blind and refuses all forms of racism -- humanity is become as one race. There is no white, no black, no brown, no yellow -- all is one.

THAT is what Mormonism failed to do while pretending from the beginning to be enlightened. But Mormonism *is* just another religion pretending holiness which deems certain things as sacred within bounds it sets while ascribing certain classes as better than others.

The so-called Three Degrees of Glory (celestial, terrestrial, and telestial) are a form of religious class-building in which some are made to be better than others because they follow certain rules and bow the knees to certain beliefs. There are NO three degrees in heaven or in the afterlife. That was Smith's personal construct in building an earthly power structure which he thought would mirror the heavens.

I would like to express my appreciation and gratitude for having ditched religion altogether and having transcended the world's way of thinking. And with that said, Mormonism is indeed, very worldly.

Good riddance to Mormonism!

I've never seen tem own up to any major errors of the church, have you?

The first one that comes to mind without having to do a whole lot of thinking is the Priesthood Ban and its aftermath.

MG thinks the Church took responsibility ("own up") to its embarrassing wrong doings of maintaining the Priesthood Ban until 1978 when the Church finally began to amend its ways.

I interpret New Testament teachings given by Jesus: God and man should be ONE and that race doesn't matter when it comes to enjoying the fruits of life. We are ONE. That is the message I get from Jesus. The Mormons isolated and shamefully denigrated black people for well over a century. This was not within keeping of a message that teaches that all people are as one great whole under the umbrella of God. But the Mormons isolated and kicked the blacks out of their priesthood club because they did not embrace the spirit or message given by Jesus.

Not only that but Oaks promoted himself to the smartest leader in Mormon history. Capable of reaching more entanglement with the great Elohim than any person who subjugated people of color.

I studied the reasons then being given and could not feel confirmation of the truth of any of them. As part of my prayerful study, I learned that, in general, the Lord rarely gives reasons for the commandments and directions He gives to His servants. I determined to be loyal to our prophetic leaders and to pray—

The actual quote is:
I observed the pain and frustration experienced by those who suffered these restrictions and those who criticized them and sought for reasons. I studied the reasons then being given and could not feel confirmation of the truth of any of them. As part of my prayerful study, I learned that, in general, the Lord rarely gives reasons for the commandments and directions He gives to His servants. I determined to be loyal to our prophetic leaders and to pray—as promised from the beginning of these restrictions—that the day would come when all would enjoy the blessings of priesthood and temple. Now that day had come, and I wept for joy.
Just a clarification. It may not make any difference to you, however.

Regards,
MG
