Keeping yourself morally clean? How about you, Philo? Have you been keeping yourself morally clean? (no touchy!)

OK bishop Shulem, I confess I have touched myself daily. But man when I gotta pee, I gotta touchy, touchy....... and I have always guided the stream away from my hands so I have never contaminated myself with that evil urine from my body of sin which Heavenly Father made for me in this way, so I feel pure and clean. I performed the laying on of the hands on my own head and blessed myself with righteousness of the Holy Melchizedek Priesthood, so my sins should be gone by now.

P.S. I have reduced my porn watching to a mere 34 hours a week for this last month, giving me a HUGE spiritual boost over those other apostates who indulge in the totally heinous amount of time of 40 hours! So my spirituality is improving now! I am not nearly as evil as those full time porn watchers are, so Heavenly Father is very pleased with my progress. It's the same reason why atheist mass murderers are soooooooo much more evil than those righteous Christian Cruscaders who slaughtered, massacred, and murdered only tens of thousands instead of millions! The Lord is pleased with the greater righteousness of his lesser evil followers.

Did President Nelson‘s address to the world meet your expectations?

It is disheartening to read some of the comments on this thread bashing President Nelson and his good name and works.

It appears that this board is going to be pretty much like the other. Sad.

It could have been so much better. I suppose this is to be expected when hate and nastiness rule the day among so many critics and ex Mormons.

Although, truth be told, a few of the threads on this re-created board have been, at least to some degree, interesting to read.

Moksha, did you feel as though President Nelson met your expectations and had a message which would benefit those who listen?

In other words, literally nothing prophetic and the same ol same ol. Just why does that not surprise me, even a little bit. Just more proof that their priesthood is man made wishful thinking.

Ratzinger wrote a book and in it he discussed what it meant to be an Old Testament prophet. (Jesus of Nazareth: From the Baptism in the Jordan to the Transfiguration.) And that was basically to warn the people against their sins. I think that your view of what a Mormon prophet should be is that he should be a fortune teller. I think you should get over the absurd stories told to you in primary.

I don't necessarily know that a President of the Church has any particular ability to fortell the future or look into people's hearts. Or a stake president. Or a bishop. I kind of doubt it. But I don't criticize the President of Church's job to warn us against our sins.

What we received was a memorized speech supported by the aid of a teleprompter. The speech was NOT impromptu nor did it roll off the tongue of an angel or by the whispering Spirit of a God in yonder heaven. The central message was on gratitude which is fundamental to living the abundant life through wholistic thinking and spiritual wellbeing. Central to this message is the sense of feeling thankful! This is not something that religion invented and has nothing to do with going to church or subscribing to any particular religion, deity, or creed. It's basic knowledge that has been taught by wise sages throughout the long history of earth -- souls who knew and understood that GRATITUDE is key to happy living and wellbeing. President NelSatan knows this as do all of the apostles of Mormonism -- as well as everyone else on earth who have acquired a little wisdom and experience. You don't even have to believe in God to acquire end experience gratitude in its fullness. There are no prerequisites or religious requirements to feeling thankful and expressing gratitude. The message given by NelSatan can be easily obtained by searching the Internet or wholistic books that teach basic principles of good living. There are countless sites online that teach GRATITUDE as a fundamental principle to good living and personal happiness. THIS IS NOTHING NEW! What we got from Nelsantan was just another version (canned speech) coming from someone who knows and understands a basic principle of how to live a better life. And what did we get? A canned speech!

Very disappointing indeed. But that was to be expected. Mormonism is like a Grapenuts TV commercial. The speech was an advertisement. Those soft puppy dog blue eyes aren't fooling me. That was corporate America in action ending with the New Church Logo of an Idol (graven image) of Jesus, and they want 10% of your income, increase, and interest -- and your complete devotion to whatever they say or command.

President NelSatan had the audacity to mention Abraham and God's promise to him to bless the whole world, which promise is based solely on Abraham's cruel commitment to a blood thirsty god (Jehovah) who wasn't satisfied with just killing animals for his own pleasure but demanded that a human sacrifice -- KILL YOUR SON, also be performed.

It was sick of President NelSatan to bring up Abraham in order to spread religion on his message of gratitude. The horrible story of Abraham and his willingness to murder his own son doesn't belong in any teaching that has to do with gratitude. This clearly proves that NelSatan is so entrenched in his absolute obedience to his Church and evil teachings of animal/human sacrifice as taught in the Bible that he willingly parades them in front of the whole world like a wolf in sheep's clothing.

What a sick disgrace.
