paragraph 4 allows for states to file amicus briefs without prior permission, hence New California and New Nevada. I wonder how long before our fellow "attorney's" brief will be stricken from the docket? I wager by the end of the day today.
I think I'll pass on that bet, Dr. Exiled, Esq.

Res, can I set up a New Utah (‘Neutah’) just to sue Newfornia and Newvada with some kind of claim against their territory? They didn’t get my permission to secede, and once having done so, will infringe upon my enfranchisement. Or something legal something. I have standing. And an affidavit.

Well, I hope for the sake of the Court, it gets rid of the brief pretty quickly. Sounds like this guy might be one of the sovereign citizens I run into from time to time, claiming that their debts are somehow forgiven because of some contract they formed. The last one that came into my office claimed he was going to save his house using the various sovereign citizen techniques at his disposal. He lost.

Pennsylvania officials call the effort a "seditious abuse of the judicial process." 104 Republicans signed on to this fascism. Think about that for a hot second, what this means, if they were to be successful. It’s pretty scary stuff. I mean, we get it. We’ve seen a racist White nationalist was wistful over an ethnostate right here on this board. We thought, “ Surely this psychopath is a delusional outlier.” And the jenius jumps on it. And then Rush. And now 104 Republicans in addition to the current administration.
We better hope the Supreme Court strikes this down seeing it for what it is - a coup.

I don't think it is a coup. Given how every lawsuit has failed to date, it is misguided politics, playing to a base that wants something done, but not a coup. This will probably be dismissed after this round of briefing is done and Supreme Court has a chance to review, discuss and write opinions. My guess is that by Tuesday next week it'll be over. Then perhaps a little while longer, Trump will give some sort of concession speech, vowing to continue to fight.
I sure hope you’re right. Perhaps *checking Google for synonyms* it’s a ‘palace revolution’? The Orange Revolution? Power grab? I dunno. ‘Taking power that’s not yours’... is too wordy. A coup d’tantrum?

But wait, there's more: Lin Wood, who is a plaintiff in one of the GA federal cases and counsel for the GA Kraken case, has filed his own -- uhhhh nobody is quite sure what the hell it is -- pro se with the Supreme Court. Whatever the hell it is, he managed to misspell his own name. https://Twitter.com/questauthority/stat ... 54401?s=20
I hear you on sovereign citizens. The first time I ran into one, I had to spend a day on the internet trying to figure out what his pleadings were trying to say. A couple of people made bank off of seminars teaching people complete nonsense. Ugh.

I like coup d'tantrum.

We might be in self-promotion territory now for attorney Wood. It reminds me of the 70's block buster war film "A Bridge Too Far." Or perhaps one of the last scenes in the movie "Patton" where the german officer is shown burning a photo of Patton saying "das ende."

Kellie Ward has filed a Petition for Certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court in her election contest, challenging the Constitutionality of the Safe Harbor provision in the federal election statute. https://www.democracydocket.com/wp-cont ... -et-al.pdf

Tl;dc - Rush, bumbling boor he is, walked back his comments with this firm commitment to preserving the Republic:
“I am not advocating it, have not advocated, never have advocated it, and probably wouldn’t. That’s not something — 32 years — that’s not the way I’ve decided to go about handling disagreements with people on the left.”
Good thread on the Supreme Court. https://Twitter.com/questauthority/stat ... 49409?s=20 They had to consider an emergency death penalty appeal yesterday, and their last scheduled conference is today. They will take whatever time they need to rule on the Texas monstrosity and the petitions for certiorari that have been filed.
