That signals what his next move will be. Over the weekend, he and McConnell will rush to pack the Supreme Court with 10 new loyal Trumpians. They will then use the power of the Supreme Court to overthrow the election.

Lin Wood's appeal in Georgia is on Supreme Court docket, responses due January 11th.

But let's assume Lin Wood wins his appeal and is able to overturn Georgia, that still leaves Biden with more than 270, right?

But let's assume Lin Wood wins his appeal and is able to overturn Georgia, that still leaves Biden with more than 270, right?

Yes. He has to flip a minimum of three states from the group of PA, WI, MN, GA, AZ and NV.

And I believe that docket date of January 11 is just the date for considering whether to accept cert. I think it's a signal that the Court isn't interested in overturning certified election results.

That may very well not bode well for Biden, but I don't think that saves Trump at this point.

And the Supreme Court has denied Texas's motion to file suit under its original jurisdiction 7-2. The two were Alito and Thomas, which was completely expected. They have stated in the past their view that the Court must always approve this kind of motion involving suits between states. They also stated that they would have granted the motion, but denied any relief.

I'm impressed. I just realized they are also dealing with another emergency request for stay of an execution scheduled for tonight. Because firing squads are apparently now part of our annual Christmas celebrations.

Could you explain what it means to "grant a motion to file suit"? If 3 more saw the world the way Alito and Thomas do, what would it mean for the court to "grant the motion but deny relief?"

Besides that, consider that even all 3 of the Trump nominees now on the court have rejected Trump's attempts to overturn the election. What are the odds that Trump could find 10 nominees to the court corrupt or disreputable enough to do what none of his previous nominees have been willing to do?

Besides that, consider that even all 3 of the Trump nominees now on the court have rejected Trump's attempts to overturn the election. What are the odds that Trump could find 10 nominees to the court corrupt or disreputable enough to do what none of his previous nominees have been willing to do?

To find 10 nominees corrupt enough, all he has to do is pick any random 10 of the state Attorneys General who signed on to the Texas lawsuit.

The real limiting factor of this idea is that there isn't enough time for the Republican propaganda machine to brainwash the members in the echo chamber that at this point packing the courts is absolutely required in order to defend the Constitution and save America.

Speaking sincerely this time, as soon as he heard he lost, he published a 30-second ad to his Twitter. Here is the transcription:

"America deserved an honest election. This is what they got: Suitcases of ballots added in secret in Georgia. Dead people voting in Wisconsin. A money for votes scheme in Nevada. Poll watchers denied access in Pennsylvania. Faulty drop boxes and clerks facing felony charges in Michigan. The evidence is overwhelming. Call your legislatures. Demand they fight for honest elections."

It then has a website and a text number you can click. If you do so, I'm sure it will cause Trump to send you 10 messages a day asking for donations.

I think his goal at this point is clear:

1- Poison his followers against the validity of Biden's victory as much as possible.
2- Sow as much discord as possible.
3- Convince his followers that if they keep sending him money, he will save America.

The genius of this is that as long as he can keep #1 and #2 going, #3 is easy and the money will continue to flow in at the rate of $200,000,000 a month.
