Note, there are substantial excess deaths from COVID and from causes other than COVID. The non-Covid deaths overlap quite a bit with COVID comorbidities, indicating that many actual COVID deaths were misclassified as non-Covid deaths.

I dunno. I think I’m gonna go with the jenius and the unsourced Twidiot he took this from. The jenius has a long and trustworthy posting history on this forum. It takes two seconds to find rebuttals to the meme subs is copying without a citation. He doesn't do sources because he knows it will take fewer seconds to cook his goose that way.

It doesn't matter either way because the comparison is invalid. When India shut down, the death rate went down substantially because people weren't dying in car accidents and or other horrendous ways that was daily life as usual, and I imagine there was the India version of subs somewhere saying that Covid is a hoax because fewer people were dying after the outset of the virus.

subs is a train wreck when it comes to statistics.
