Yes, the New Testament was indeed written after the life/death of Jesus .......But - the Scriptures quoted in this thread are from the Old Testament - 100's of years before the life/death of Jesus.

Well that narrows the beam and moves the goalposts around quit a bit.... So what you are saying is that any prophesies which were recorded as coming to pass in the New Testament or in the Old Testament are suspect, and must to be discounted... Basically it seems the only proof you'll accept are from prophesies which can't be proven because they haven't happened yet???

Notwithstanding the OP's delightful confusion of prophecy and simple addition (e.g. I predict these 60 seconds will equal one minute) note the following:

Most of the use of messianic Old Testament prophecies to establish the legitimacy of Jesus consists of partial quotes, taken out of context and stretched to their maximum to make them fit Jesus.
