Yes, the New Testament was indeed written after the life/death of Jesus .......But - the Scriptures quoted in this thread are from the Old Testament - 100's of years before the life/death of Jesus.

It is easy to adapt a story to fit a prophecy 60 years after the fact.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Well that narrows the beam and moves the goalposts around quit a bit....
So what you are saying is that any prophesies which were recorded as coming to pass in the New Testament or in the Old Testament are suspect, and must to be discounted...
Basically it seems the only proof you'll accept are from prophesies which can't be proven because they haven't happened yet???

Notwithstanding the OP's delightful confusion of prophecy and simple addition (e.g. I predict these 60 seconds will equal one minute) note the following:

1. “Telltale signs are everywhere —from the unexpected persistence and thickness of pack ice in the waters around Iceland to the southward migration of a warmth-loving creature like the armadillo from the Midwest. Since the 1940s the mean global temperature has dropped about 2.7° F.” — Climatologist George J. Kukla of Columbia University in Time Magazine’s June 24th, 1975 article Another Ice Age?

2. “Space travel is bunk.” — Sir Harold Spencer Jones, Astronomer Royal of the UK, 1957 (two weeks later Sputnik orbited the Earth).

3. “There is not the slightest indication that nuclear energy will ever be obtainable. It would mean that the atom would have to be shattered at will.” — Albert Einstein, 1932

4. “Radio has no future. Heavier-than-air flying machines are impossible. X-rays will prove to be a hoax.” — William Thomson, Lord Kelvin, British scientist, 1899.

5. “That virus is a pussycat.” — Dr. Peter Duesberg, molecular-biology professor at U.C. Berkeley, on HIV, 1988

6.“The bomb will never go off. I speak as an expert in explosives.” — Admiral William Leahy, U.S. Atomic Bomb Project

7. “The earth’s crust does not move”- 19th through early 20th century accepted geological science. See Plate Tectonics

8. "This 'telephone' has too many shortcomings to be seriously considered as a means of communication. The device is inherently of no value to us." – Western Union internal memo, 1876

9. "Rail travel at high speed is not possible because passengers, unable to breathe, would die of asphyxia." – Dr. Dionysius Lardner, 1830

10. "The horse is here to stay but the automobile is only a novelty—a fad." – -The president of the Michigan Savings Bank advising Henry Ford's lawyer not to invest in the Ford Motor Co., 1903

11. "Television won't last because people will soon get tired of staring at a plywood box every night." – -Darryl Zanuck, movie producer, 20th Century Fox, 1946

12. "I must confess that my imagination refuses to see any sort of submarine doing anything but suffocating its crew and floundering at sea.” — HG Wells, British novelist, in 1901

13. "And for the tourist who really wants to get away from it all, safaris in Vietnam" – -Newsweek, predicting popular holidays for the late 1960s.

Most of the use of messianic Old Testament prophecies to establish the legitimacy of Jesus consists of partial quotes, taken out of context and stretched to their maximum to make them fit Jesus.
